That Tim Horton's cereal is just a gimmick that people buy once to try because Tim Horton's is a very popular coffee shop. We have Nesquik that's been around forever which is similar to coco puffs and better then that Tim's cereal.
I have been in Canada almost all of my life, but I am originally from the Netherlands. If you ever get the chance to try Dutch snacks, consider trying stroopwafels. You will absolutely love them. Something I love and most people in North America don’t would be most Dutch liquorice. It comes in dozens if not a hundred variations or more. Something you can try at home, although not one hundred percent is French fries with mayo instead of ketchup. Consider getting either Dutch or Belgian mayo to try it since there mayo has a different taste. Two famous Dutch street foods would be Dutch croquettes and frikandel. I can get these here in Canada at two Dutch stores here in Edmonton and I hope you can find them just as easily where your located. Trust me when I say you’ll be floored (in a good way) by the taste. If you ever try any of the liquorice consider getting the sweet type before trying any of the salty liquorice and if you do try the salty liquorice consider eating five or six (one at a time) to see if you like it. For some people, it’s an acquired taste.
The best chip combo to eat is actually Lays brands: Dill Pickle + Ketchup + Honey Mustard Put those 3 chips in your mouth and got a burger in your mouth!
1. Hickory sticks are a childhood classic because it felt like a good bang for your buck snack in school (fun to share with friends, sneak sticks one by one out of your desk during class cuz they were quieter than larger chips, and eating only a couple at a time rather than handfuls made them last longer) 2. Can confirm that aero is excellent for s'mores 3. Smarties are popular with small kids because they were cheap and satisfy the desire for candy and chocolate at the same time. While similar to m&ms, the candy to chocolate ratio of smarties are more equal (thicker candy coating in smarties than the more chocolate filled m&ms). HOWEVER my fave way to eat them is smashed in a freezer bag and mixed in with ice cream (if you do this with oreos too you can replicate a popular Canadian McFlurry mixed smartie oreo) 4. You mentioned all dressed chips are a bit of everything but not enough. That's kinda the point (all the dressings/seasonings). I prefer baked chips myself, and am pretty sure the crispers also do an all dressed flavor you might enjoy 5. Most Canadian chocolate tastes better chilled, but the caramilk you do just for ease of eating. The caramel is very soft inside, often spilling during first bites, so the cold stiffens it up a bit but never makes it hard to eat
Canadian smarties are a super old candy. It predates your m&m and predates your version of smarties. But because its such a old fashion candy, yeah, its not as good as the more modern m&m.
I dont eat caramilk frozen, they too good at room temperature. I eat them before i reach the freezer. You should try Oh! Henry! as well. Tastes like a reese wity caramel but way different shape and texture, plus the flavors are less blended then reese.

Tim Horton’s coffee isn't that great but it’s relatively cheap and it’s everywhere. I often joke that once a little town reaches a certain size here it’s required by law to have a Timmies.
Personally, I like ketchup chips better than all dressed, especially Old Dutch ripples. Yum! As for smarties, the taste is whatever but I love the crunch of the outer shell.
all dressed isnt actually all the flavors mixed together. its garlic and onion, paprika, vinegar, salt and sugar it comes from street fries or something. everywhere online seems to promote the story that its all the flavors mixed tho so idk. smarties were always the last thing eaten in my halloween haul lol
The Caramilk threw me as in Australia its Caramello here and we use the name Caramilk for caramelised white chocolate. But Aero always slaps hard, the Mint Aero is amazing
As a Canadian, Tim Horton's regular coffee is not the best for flavor, but their French Vanilla and English Toffee Cappuccinos are THE BEST. Here in Canada, you can actually order customized drinks that aren't on the menu, for example: a regular Triple Triple coffee with half hot chocolate or white hot chocolate. If you want a proper Tim Hortons experience, you gotta come to Canada.
Let me just say hickory sticks have a salt and vinegar flavour that absolutely slaps. It’s flavoured after white vinegar (the superior vinegar) vs how most chips in the U.S. are flavoured after malt vinegar (sewage vinegar). They can be kinda hard to find (because salt and vinegar is very popular in Canada) but if u get the chance they are worth a try!
My general opinion of Tim Horton's coffee is that the regular stuff is for people whose tastebuds are damaged by cigarettes or booze. The dark roast is better, but McDonald's Canada uses the old Tim Horton's coffee blend, which was way better.
All dressed chips are supposed to be a combination of all the staple flavors people know and love-salt and vinegar, ketchup, bbq, sour cream and onion, etc. They're ALL dressed as the name implies, and they slap, but just like ketchup chips people either love them or hate them 😂
last time I ate Smarties I had the impression I was munching on cheap dollar store chocolate diluted with sugar in a glass coating. They don't hit the same when you are a kid vs an adult. and even then, when I was a kid I preferred Astros wayyy more (cookie balls covered in chocolate then coated with candy like M&M's. Sadly they don't exist in Canada since the early 2000's.)😭😭😭
Tim Hortons is no longer considered Canadian here. it got taken over by a brazilian company and they only hire foreign students. The quality has really taken a nose dive.
Ketchup chips aren’t as popular here as you might think. Those who like them really love them but most people I know would rather have something else like all dressed. If I put ketchup chips out at a party they just don’t disappear as fast as other flavours do.
Tims coffee is a very interesting story. back in 2012-2014, the trademark/contracted for tims old coffee expired so behind closed doors mcdonalds swooped in and bought it for way more then tims could offer. So to everyone whos enjoying mcdonalds coffee, your welcome. Source: college proff who knows someone high up in mcdonalds and the simple pattern of everyone who dranks tims religiously switched over
take a good soft hand baked cookie, dip half in a tempered melted chocolate if u know how, something that will set hard, and then roll that in crushed up coffee crisp its an ethereal experience even if u only mildly like coffee crisp

100% The coffee fell of the wagon *HARD* since the early 2000's.
...Which makes sense when they lost their contracted source.
If you really like coffee, Tim Horton's so-called coffee is not more than a brown hot liquid 😉

Ketchup chips aren’t as popular here as you might think. Those who like them really love them but most people I know would rather have something else like all dressed. If I put ketchup chips out at a party they just don’t disappear as fast as other flavours do.
americans getting lays ketchup chips is like europeans trying burger king and expecting the best burger in america lmao
😳
@ChrisMelbergerGaming Old Dutch Ketchup is the better representative
As a Canadian, aside from the maple cookies and ketchup chips, I did not realize you guys down south did not have these snacks LOL
Tims coffee is a very interesting story. back in 2012-2014, the trademark/contracted for tims old coffee expired so behind closed doors mcdonalds swooped in and bought it for way more then tims could offer. So to everyone whos enjoying mcdonalds coffee, your welcome.
Source: college proff who knows someone high up in mcdonalds and the simple pattern of everyone who dranks tims religiously switched over
Maple leaf cookies with a coffee is perfection
As a Canadian, the HMMMMMMMMM were so satisfying lolll
Box of cookies, turn it around to the English side.
Ketchup and All Dressed together is something else lol Mixing chips is fun lol
ALL DRESSED...its in the title. When you order a burger all dressed you get pickle, mustard ketchup etc...
Its all that AND a bag if chips LMAO
Smarties and Aero are technically British chocolate bars.
Smarties are the original. M&Ms are the knockoff.
take a good soft hand baked cookie, dip half in a tempered melted chocolate if u know how, something that will set hard, and then roll that in crushed up coffee crisp
its an ethereal experience even if u only mildly like coffee crisp
Old Dutch Ketchup chips are better. But the Old-fashioned ketchup ruffle lays are good
Ketchup chips and hickory sticks are the best chips and so weird they aren't in America
I find all dressed and ketchup to be equally good, it depends what im in the mood for personally.
