I'm poor so I always love seeing more budget oriented tech. I really like when some creators go out their way to really dig into the budget options, compare them to higher end ones, and just make the effort to find the absolute best budget tech that sometimes gets you close to the same performance of the much more expensive stuff. For instance, there are a lot of budget headphones out there in the world, many of them are even made at the same factories as more expensive name brands, so it's not unheard of for some $50 (or less) headphones to give you sound quality that would expect from a more premium brand.

Sorry, this device will definitely suck for its price class. The smaller, cheap fire tabs seem ok as kindle and media players or for kids entertainment. Poor hardware, crippled OS and app store. I am not happy with my Fire HD 10.

ask the other guy stated below, sometimes cheaper come out more expensive not to mention fire tablets contribute to lots of ewaste due to Amazon profits. Go with higher quality Samsung tablets, Lenovo, etc

@@RKingis I'm on disability as well. Most things are just out of my budget. I do have a Prime Visa so anything I get off Amazon can have like 12 months with no interest as an option as long as I pay a set amount. I haven't tried it yet. Haven't found something I really need badly enough but it's nice to have the option to make payments either way.

@@mr.guillotine3766 The nice thing about Affirm, is they tell you up front how much you pay extra to use the service (10%-30%). I'm pretty tempted to get the Prime card for the $150 gift card.

Amazon FireMax 11 comes equipped with mediatek chip and I'm loving it! The 11-inch display is absolutely gorgeous, and the performance is top-notch. Plus, the long battery life is a huge plus. Highly recommended if you're looking for an affordable yet powerful tablet!

I have owned three Amazon Fire tablets in three sizes. I generally purchase Amazon products on either Prime Day or Black Friday weekend, and always find good deals. These are basic devices, and it is pointless to compare them to the much more expensive, high end tablets out there. But the Fire tablet is always my "go-to" device and does 90% of what I need a tablet to do. And even better, at this price point I can upgrade every year or two as new devices are released. Looking forward to owning the new Fire Max 11 (Prime Day is coming up in a few weeks! Not sure if Amazon will discount this one in 2023, since it is so new, but...Fingers Crossed! 🤞)

It sounds good for the price, but you can tell that where Amazon products really suck is the software. Not only is their ui terrible, but you're also locked into using their app store which is nowhere near as complete as the play store and of course you get ads left and right.
Their poor care for software also shows in other features, such as the pen: when you showed it off, I could tell the latency from a mile away, in fact if you pause the video you can tell there's like 2 full centimeters between the tip and the line.
It clearly shows that amazon only cares about making a product that people will buy instead of a product that people will use

Amazon could put the best of the best components in their tablet, better than even the iPad 12.9's ones, but as long as they insist on using "their own" o.s. (with the relative store, which has one thousandth of the apps available elsewhere) instead of Android all Amazon Fire tablets will always be crap.

It's been several years since Amazon updated the Fire HD 10 so I'm interested in the new Fire 11. I recently added the Amazon app for 'Libby for Kindles' to interact with my local library cataligue, it works with Fire tablets produced in 2021 and 2022 (which I have and can state the app definitely works, but not for older Kindles). My Fire HD 10 tablet from 2018 is getting slower to respond but I use my last two purchases all the time for stresming, audiobooks, graphic novels, Kindle Unlimited.

**THIS IS A LONG COMPARISON OF THE FIRE 11 MAX TO MY CURRENT FIRE 10 HD** This looks and sounds nice, but not enough to upgrade from my Fire 10 HD. I've had mine with the productivity bundle for about a year. It didn't come with a stylus. However, It did come with a keyboard case and MS 365. The keyboard case is kinda clunky and heavy, but it serves its purpose. To start, my Fire 10 HD is a good tablet. The productivity aspect of Microsoft is actually very good. I had a laptop issue not too long ago and my Kindle came in good in a clutch, especially with the use of Microsoft One Drive as my primary drive. A tad sluggish, but that is only when you have too many windows open. The same thing can occur with a regular laptop. The only thing that would truly make me consider the upgrade is an increase of internal memory. I already have 4gb. At least 8gb would make this worth the upgrade all by itself. I am a Minister and have been considering using my Fire 10 HD as a public speaking/preaching device. In the midst of people using their Ipads or other high-end tablets for the same reason, I have found that my Fire 10 HD has fit the bill for it. I teach classes from it when necessary as well. It has split-screen capabilities. HOWEVER, if you need to connect it to a large screen, such as HDMI or VGA connector, that wouldn't be a good idea. The location of the camera on the Fire 10 HD is very annoying. Period. Even though you can switch from Portrait to Landscape mode, the camera pretty much stays stationary. Unless it is absolutely necessary to do a Zoom or other video messaging, I would avoid using the Fire 10 HD just for quality purposes. The new Fire 11 Max keyboard is a HUGE improvement from the Fire 10 HD keyboard because it does not require charging the keyboard and a spotty Bluetooth connection (like my current HD 10). Very similar to my MS Surface Pro, the 11 Max keyboard the magnet attachments. The stylus with my MS Surface takes AAAA batteries too. I never heard of them until now! *smile* I actually found my AAAA batteries at CVS. So....overall? If you have an incredibly old Kindle--the upgrade to the 11 Max will make you very happy! For people like me who are already using the 10 HD, there really isn't any change in specs, performance, and app availability with the device upgrade. You can buy a stylus if you really need one. The touch screen is responsive enough. I hope this helps.

Afforability Check, Entertainment Check, Creativity Check
But productivity needs more than just the right hardware, this is the category where android is imo always lagging on. Cause the entertainment stuff scales by itself: Books, Movies, Pictures... but productivity depends heavy on UI and UX and it needs... wait for it... specialized apps which take full advantage of the screen real estate with additional menues. But i'm at 1:19 an will see how that will be adressed from amazon
5:46 i have to admit, they make good use of the screen from the preview.

I have the 10in Fire tablet with the Google Play Store installed. With only 2GB of RAM, it can get so slow whilst loading or switching to an app. It just took over 30 seconds to open the Settings app 🤦‍♂️ I know they've upped the RAM to 3GB but I don't know if that's enough tbh.
It's £289 for the 128GB for the Fire Max 11. For £310 I just picked up a used Samsung Tab S7 with 8gb of RAM and 256GB of storage (from CEX). I think it's much better use of similar levels of money.

Which is a shame because the display on the Fire 10 HD is actually pretty decent

If you are not in hurry, then the tablet will be available for $180 at autumn time.Micro SD I use mostly for music, although my book collection is also a large.

Does it include fingerprint and/or face unlock.....finally? Really annoying having to type in passwords all the time. Regardless, I just don't see the niche for this tablet. I'll keep my last GEN Fire tablet for media consumption (i.e. the primary use for something like this), and some email. Makes a great tool for use when I travel given I can beat the hell out of it and risk virtually nothing. But if I want an 'actual' productivity tool, or a work accessory, I'll pay the bump in price and get an iPad Pro (I own one), a Galaxy tab, or a Surface tab. A half baked, huge compromise Fire Tablet is not something I'm going to wrestle with in a business setting. So if you opt for one of these at all, the base tablet without accessories is likely the only one to consider, and even then, I'd still opt for the last GEN Fire tablet which can be had closer to $100 during one of Amazon's sales.

It has fingerprint unlock on the power button. You can record both fingers so one can open it however you have the device oriented. I haven't noticed any lag so far. Pretty snappy and nice build quality. Has the microsoft office 365 (if you already subscribe on your computer). I have an iPad Pro as well but it's dedicated to music production and composing. I bought the Fire max 11 primarily for media consumption (and I love playing with new gadgets).

iPad Pro is better and will last longer over the years. Amazon tablets flooded with bloatware and eventually slow down after a year or two.

Hope it's a trolling question. LOL
Of course it doesn't. This compare to the iPad 9 (or 10 at most) or Android tablets like the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, the Xiaomi Pad 5 and 6 or the Galaxy Tab S7 FE.

You are comparing an ex flagship iPad to an overprice low end product 😂😂 this tablet is terrible: 2xa78+6xa55 soc is low end, only 4gb of ram is not enough And probably 64gb emmc like every other Amazon fire tablets (emmc is the reason why old Android became unusable, now almost everything that cost more than 200€ come with ufs memory)…

There needs to be more tablet options since its so limited just like smartphone choices since smartphone choices have shrank drastically. There are more bluetooth headphones and even bluetooth speakers than tablet and smartphone choices combined. Its hard to find choices when looking for particular features that were removed on newer devices compared to the older generation of products. Its gotten to the point of smartphone and tablet options that its gotten smaller and smaller portions like going out to eat like fast food for example but with higher price tags but the portions are shrinking so much. The portions and packages of food when buying groceries have gotten smaller unless you buy in bulk like costco and the same thing is happening with tech, limited options with limited features unless you buy more to get more unlike how it used to be when you buy stuff, you get so much for what you pay for. The best bang for the buck is starting to become an anomaly. Micro transactions does not help since not everyone an afford to pay for more and get less due to the price increases.

Im poor too also I used to be a Samsung fan in the past with the s22 ultra and recently the tab S5e and the S4 era when it comes to gaming. Since the demise of the Kindle Fire HDX back in the golden days in 2014 I that Amazon Tablet gets very quiet over the years when the Fire phones failed and comparing Apple and Samsung successors then this year I was thrilled with the Amazon Fire Max 11 its unstoppable tablet from the lower budget Fire HD tablet successor
