      LOL I didn't make it all the way through! Working on it though. It is a hard habit to break, especially with how well profanity works for emphasis! I will keep trying. ☮

    Happy Memorial Day! 🇺🇸 I haven't served myself but also have a deep respect and appreciation for those that have and do.
    I have a couple of Penon/ISN sets: the original Penon Fan and and ISN D10. Not too many reviews on their stuff to be found. I think Akros has done the most of anyone I know of. I don't think Penon generally sends out review samples so probably one reason they aren't talked about as much as much as Moondrop and Simgot, for example.
    I saw that Ali was about to start a sales event soon and was eyeballing the Adonis (in hopes of a good cut) but it sounds like the H30 might even be a better choice. 🤔 ISN EST50 is another Penon set that's been on my radar for a while but it's a $450 set (may get it eventually, though).
    Thank you for another great review! 👍

      You’re definitely right about PENON not sending sets out for review. That’s their choice and I respect it. From what I can tell, they may not need to. I’m just happy my blind buy worked out so well.
      If the Adonis goes on deep discount this cycle, I am getting a set for sure. It may be my only purchase this time as the Relentless, SuperMix 4 and TRN Medusa are all en route, plus I’ve got a couple of sets being sent to me for review purposes by smaller companies that I’m really excited about. Relieves a little strain on the bank account too lol. I can tell you this- the Adonis, H30 and D41 make up 3 of my top 5 sets now along with the Perfomer 8 and the T10. It’s been a wild ride lately! ☮️

      I've seen the EST50 for $250-300 on 2nd hand market. I haven't gone for it yet (afraid of BAs) but it's super tempting.

    Thanks for your detailed synopsis of this set... I have the Fan2 and I thoroughly enjoy the quality of the sound/drivers along with the mids/mid-bass/relaxed upper-treble focus of the set - something different ! I recently picked up the Artti R1 and I'm absolutely loving it - the wonderfully wide, deep and almost 3D attributes shine, plus practically everything in my catalogue is a total joy to listen to... mainly because I'm rather upper-treble sensitive (8K-above) and the R1 presents these frequencies almost too perfectly for my ears - the upper-air is there, but it's not RIGHT THERE, attacking my ears... Now, my question for you is: Do you think I might have an issue with the treble sizzle/zing of this set ? Are those upper frequencies predominant in the mix or are they somewhat relaxed and hovering on the outskirts of the head-stage presentation ? It's strange... because reading through some of the early 2023 reviews on Head-Fi, most all of the reviews mention that the upper-treble is almost too relaxed... ? ? (which had me adding this set to my Ali cart) Maybe ISN tweaked the signature to boost the upper-treble somewhere along the way perhaps... ? Cheers !

      So first things first. The upper treble is not going to attack your ears. It is present and quite detailed, but I did not find it fatiguing during my testing. I am probably not as sensitive in that area though, as at 53, my ears have seen a lot of action. I have tried to take reasonably good care of them, but that doesn't mean that upper frequencies are as bright and sparkly as they are to younger people. That is just scientific/biological fact. When I am reviewing set, I do my best to take that into account. That said, I did not experience anything hot or spicy up top. And if it there, I can usually tell. What I can say for sure is that those early reviews on head-fi were hit or miss. The person who said the set lacks good attack, well, they are wrong. It has plenty of definition and is quite articulate throughout the FR. What this set does is hard to articulate. You would think, based on the expansive/immersive soundstage, that it would HAVE to be sparkly and airy up top, but it is only moderately so. That is what makes the set special in my opinion. It balances everything so well and really makes you feel like the music is both in your head and all around you. It is freaky good. I'll stand by my analysis. If you pick up a set, I really think you are going to be impressed. It should get back down to around the price I got it for this weekend, but even at $129 it is an exceptional value. Let me know what you decide to do and if you get them, I'd love to hear about your experience!
      Thank you so much for your support of my channel by the way. It means a lot!

      @@BassDad8 Hugely appreciate your response - thank you. Yes, I also noticed some of those early reviews on Head-Fi assessed the signature as 'neutral' without very much punch in the mid-bass... but then another says that it's ample in that dept... hmm... Well, I've watched enough of your reviews to understand what your ears hear (Artti R1 is a perfect example) and so I'm going with your words/thoughts. That head stage you mention with the H30 sounds totally intriguing to me, as I also enjoy the 'instruments on my shoulder blade' aspect of the Artti R1... I'll keep an eye on the upcoming sale - if not this time then next time. Great price for those quality drivers alone ! Thank you again - cheers !

      @@Blakeoffire yeah… no lack of mid bass presence or punchiness. Not to my ears anyway. Keep your eyes out for the sale price. Thanks again. You Rock!

      @@Blakeoffire One more set you might like is the Kinera Idun 2.0 Golden. It seems like the tuning might be right in your wheelhouse and it frequently goes on sale from $170 down to closer to $110. I have a review up of that set too. It is one of my favorites. You can call me the secular "patron saint" of all lost or forgotten iems. "St Bangs". LoL. I think St. Christopher is the patron saint of lost things, so this kind of makes sense. Uh... I really hope I didn't offend anyone right there. 😇😅😈🤘

    Man with the coupons and gold coins I have on Ali I can get these for like 70$ right now... Do you think they're superior to the Simgot EA500LM or the NiceHCK F1 Pro at this price point?

    • @BassDad8
      @BassDad8  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well those would be its two main competitors… but for $70 you’re getting one heck of an iem. I paid $108 and I’m thrilled. And I have the other 2 as well. The only thing is the build is not as sturdy being resin vs metal, but don’t let that stop you!

    • @BassDad8
      @BassDad8  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The F1 Pro is pretty linear stage-wise. The LM is closer, but the H30 is truly immersive. I haven’t heard anything that quite gets there like the H30 does. That said, I just bought the Adonis for $107 so I can a/b them.

    How would you say the artti t10 spund stage is compared to raptgo bridge?

    • @BassDad8

      Sounds like it’s time for “Sounstage Wars”!!!

    • @BassDad8
      @BassDad8  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Seriously though. I don’t think the T10 will win against sets like the Bridge or H30. It’s pretty good in that department, but not exceptional. The T10 is more about tuning, tonality and a really nice driver.

  • @amanieux

    subjective impressions without comparisons is not helping much so vs fan2, vs cklvx ? thanks

    • @BassDad8
      @BassDad8  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      The Fan 2 was on loan so I can’t do an a/b with that. As far as the CKLVX goes, they have a lot in common, but the H30’s so stage and imaging is superior, as I said in the review. It is the most impressive set that I have heard so far in that respect. I do remember the Fan2 being a little too safe of a tuning for my tastes. But like you said, that is subjective

    • @amanieux
      @amanieux 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Agree for fan2, mids were great (sonion) but it lacked bass for my taste and was boringly neutral. Between h30 and cklvx which has the most bass ?

    • @BassDad8
      @BassDad8  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@amanieux D41 has more bass. Not that the H30 is lacking in that department, but as far as straight quantity goes it’s the CKLVX. The quality of the bass on both sets is very impressive.
