@@simaddictionThey do! This was a full livestream, I watched it! Please don’t make false statements before a quick google search! IMSA is live-streaming every race for many years now. First on IMSA TV and now also on TH-cam.
And the results are confirmed when nobody is watching or listening. The ownership of the TV rights, of a WEC race, are the property of the national broadcasting authority of the country in which the race took part. It is only when the value of this falls below a predetermined level that replays of the whole or parts are released. Of course the race is transmitted live in most countries, not including the US as parts of the coverage are bought and sold there. There is a agreement with IMSA that general release is not permitted for one week. TV coverage in the US is all about money. What a shame that the fans don’t feature in the broadcasters imagination. The WEC race in countries all over the world and do not claim World championship titles for races in one country. They could wear themselves as a hat.
Im a new IMSA fan for 2024, been a die hard F1 fan, but I love watching endurance racing. IMSA is awesome thank you Mr Doonan and all the other production members ❤
Damn, Nicklas Nielsen on fire lately, overall win at Le Mans with a brilliant last double stint then an LMP2 win a week later on the other side of the ocean 🔥 It's been such a brilliant month for endurance racing btw even with the 💩show that was the Nürburgring 24, and there's still a Spa 24 to go, unfortunately I won't be able to watch that one live but I'm still so hyped
2:29:28 the rain is coming 2:57:37 the rain has arrived but stopped after few moments 4:07:10 Fantastic battle between Acura and Porsche 4:18:50 the rain is back again 5:40:38 The Acura lost its wheel!!! 5:49:15 The sun is back, time for the final restart
With British and European races rain is almost always a significant part of racing. Mind you it is more uncomfortable in a open wheeler, not surrounded by bodywork and framing.
Amazing coverage, and the kind of weather that prevailed over the circuit made it a really unpredictable race with no clear favourite. Also Nielsen won again within a week of his outstanding drive in Le Mans, this time a class victory in LMP2, great going! :)
Amazing race. I enjoyed watching it live! I also really appreciate that IMSA is streaming the races, which makes it much easier and nicer to follow in Europe. I have one comment about the race itself. Why does the clock not stop during a red flag? It can be painful for the spectators to see the time ticking away in the hope that the race will be restarted as soon as possible, so that there is enough racing left. The Acura losing a wheel and having the Safety Car extended was the icing on the cake. Thanks to the marshals for cleaning up the track so quickly.
Congratulations to Dane Cameron 🇺🇲 and Felipe Nasr 🇧🇷 of the Porsche Penske Motorsport 🇺🇲🇩🇪 963 #7 into become the 1st two time winners of 2024, taking the overall and GTP class victories of the 6 Hours of The Glen 🇺🇲‼️🥇🥇🥳 They keep as the GTP leaders for the 6th consecutive race this 2024 with 2044 pts (+93) aswell the new leaders of the Endurance Cup with 33 pts (+5) 🔝
24:10-24:30 who needs a BBQ when u can overheat ur vehicle’s disk brakes. 36:28-36:36 was that thunder⚡️? 1:11:56-12:12:04 “weetabix for breakfast” 😂. when europeans pronounce “le mans” = “le mon”. when north americans pronounce “le mans” = “le ma” somebody give the rexy #77 porsche GTD pro a toothbrush 3:29:01-3:29:10 yes, cos the camdems might get hit by thor’s hammer. weather in NY state looks like the weather here in east midlands UK: rain, dry, rain, dry, rain, dry - guess that’s the typical summer in the temperate zone 😄. ty🙏 for the free full race video, 👍great event that was.
5 minutes for the RFID seems crazy to me. I understand the importance od the RFID sensor but provoking an accident at 200 kph nets you a much smaller penalty
As a fairly dedicated F1 and NTT follower, I am super impressed with the video quality, telemetrics, and coverage Truly world class presentation. Still cant get me head around that people risk these caliber of cars in balls to the wall racing. Lucky bastards. That girl knows her brakes too.
what a shame that the commentators are so busy with their script of reminiscing that they miss repeatedly what is happening on the track. Sometimes i think that they are watching the soccer.
I did enjoy the race but I think the production was lacking. Commentators were not on top of their game, replays were really lacking, hard to follow who is on screen, no video on the pit lane commentator, etc. I have been watching WEC recently and this really is a big step down in production to that series. If that could be improved this would be a truly phenomenal series too.
I just don't get it. Can somebody please explain me why the FCY/SC pitlane rules exist in IMSA and what was there intention behind it? You close the pitlane when a FCY comes out to make it more fair because a pitstop under yellow would benefit a car. However, with the current rules, cars profit which have a low fuel mileage and punish ones with a longer fuel mileage. Shouldn't it be the other way around?
IMSA i know its a radical idea but how about calling GTD (or is it gtp) Hypercar class. And the other GT? GT3 class like the rest of the world does. You even picked 2 letter that sounp, sorry, sound similar. At least you run LMP2 cars in the LMP2 class. Besides that Well done IMSA. You do a great job
The number of ad breaks during this stream was a disgrace, always happening at the worst possible moments, I'm almost convinced it was done on purpose. The frequency also noticeably increased during those final 20 minutes after the red flag. I get that they are TH-cam ads, but something has to be done before the next stream.
I know it's annoying but it's how Google will make their money or to influence you to go "premium". For me, i try and take the benefit of free to air coverage here and skip ads as soon as I can. Agreed that they're intrusive and thus counterproductive for the advertisers.
I wish your announcers would "catch a breath" once in a while! They are SO hyper-verbal, with TMI that I have to mute the audio. I would LOVE to hear the cars, PLEASE!!!
Do you realize how expensive it is for teams to run GTP? Many rounds this year aren’t running GTP, and they aren’t losing me as a fan and I’m from Canada.
Full race upload. This is why IMSA are the best.
If they were the best, they would show it in real time like GTWorld does for FGTWC and British GT.

Anything is better than F1, these days, however for the best endurance races look at the ADAC series.

Good question because they extended the race at the WEC Spa race for this exact reason.
The race extension at Spa was an exception, the clock runs during red flags because of lots of logistical reasons, I'm sure.
Based IMSA, great races available for free
only to outside the US. WEC is all free and mostly available live in Europe and Asia, just not in the US
