Hi, thank you for those video, it's an incredible piece of documentation for the game ! I've managed to get my first DTD in the last days after trying to pull that off since 2 years ! I hope you're gonna post the other tracks. Even the "efficiency driving", is really interesting, I've been playing the game on emulator for so long that I was really bad at keeping my ship in straight line, but thanks to your video I managed to beat the staff ghost in mute city 1 and sector alpha (now playing the PAL version of the game on a regular N64 EU).
The tunnel DTD is really hard, even for me. If you skip it, it really doesn't matter much if you go slider or jumper (less than a second). I guess if you're good at strategy 2, do the natural extension and add in the DTD while keeping the rest the same. Similarly, if you go with jumper you can keep playing until you're good enough for the natural extension of the DTD in the tunnel. The WR doesn't even use the proper setup for this (yet) so there's plenty potential left. I wanted to do 4 strats on SA but the only difference would be yes or no tunnel DTD so I presented it as optional instead.
Yeah, as WMJ said, there's not much overall difference between acceleration and max speed settings so it should be OK to practice both and then stick to whichever setup is fastest / most comfortable for you. Personally, I prefer max speed settings because I find that preparing for the first DTD while simultaneously exiting a drift (especially if you're also going for the boost plate) is a bit more difficult than just driving to the lift-off point and doing the DTD, although lifting off the track in lap 1 can be more difficult with max speed settings compared to acceleration settings so there's that to take into account.

If you only go for the first DTD, would you recommend slider or jumper settings ?

Nice video
this makes me want to go back to this track since it's a simple enough strat.
