Arrowroot powder, found at any health food store, is a great substitute for cornstarch, and it's finer too. This is very similar to what I've been using for over and year and I love it!!
I would make sure these are all natural if you want it to be good for your skin. :) Something like hibiscus or maybe even beet root powder would be good instead of the blush.
Arrowroot power may be a good replacement for corn starch for some people. It's really lightweight and greatly absorbs moisture, as well as helping heal some skin infections. :-)
Congrats on 100,000! You've come so far since I started watching you! I still look forward to a video every week! I love you, keep doing what you're doing
i made this and i use it all the time! it lasts all day for me and keeps my skin from being shiny, and its so cheap!! this has to be my favorite DIY from you, its helped me soooooooooooo much
Hi I used all these for at least 2 weeks now and really help my pocket and quality so good. What's best is that this natural powder actually does its job much better than those commercial powders. I tested mine lasted about 7 hours stayed matte and still feels powdery. Plus it does heal my acne
Couple of Pros you missed is -No harmful cancer causing chemicals that go directly in your bloodstream, 2. It is inexpensive. Regarding cornstarch, just use Arrowroot powder, it is more silky. Also you should use Bentonite clay which helps it to adhere to your skin. Both are harmless and clean. Love the video, thanks for sharing.
Hi wondering what you think about cinnamon and cooking the cornstarch to get the color you want? Let me know . It was something a friend recommended ,but I still haven't tried.
Congrats to 100,000! I love your videos, because they're so natural and safe! I hope you can get more subscribers very soon! I also love how you say turmeric c:
just letting u guys know, i used paprika pwdr, instead of blush, to make this even more natural & inexpensive!!! try it out, and let me know how it works for u!!!
+Dita Farid You're confusing Paprika with Pepper. Paprika is not spicy at all, since it's made from paprika/bell-peppers (Which have no Capsaicin, unlike chili peppers which have a LOT of capsaicin.)
I haven’t watched this lady in a while ,i always would try to mock her voice like something was stuck in my throat but i love youu ❤️❤️mann childhood was good :))
What a great antioxidant recipe!! It's 3am and I can't sleep...Looks like I found me somefin ta do! I bet tapioca starch would work great instead of corn starch, too :)
Hi Sofia. Thanks for this. I love making my own cosmetics and skincare, and love the glow from bare minerals. So I'm going to try this, and add crushed pearl powder and see if it gives the glow.. will let you know how it works out!
Love! It's natural and yummy ^_^ This is what I have been looking for because I don't really want to buy make up since I'm young but something natural and light is great!
THANK YOU for this great video. I also use extra fine kaolin clay powder and beet root. Hibiscus powder can also be used for your red hue. You can also add zinc oxide powder for sunscreen.
+Malia Nalani I'm going to try using carob powder since I don't like some of the chemicals in cocoa, but I'm not sure if the chemical make-up of carob is hypoallergenic or not.
Your so beautiful and pretty and you inspire me allot. whenever you make a new video that has a great craft in it i jump up and create it. Does anyone else thinks she kind off sounds like the woman from cutepolish?!
Here is my recipe and I use it every day. Looks good and stays on for about 4 hours, I carry it in a small container so I can always put on some later when I need to. Baby powder Bentonite clay Cocoa powder Turmeric powder Beetroot powder Few drops of lavender oil so it dsnt smell of chocolate
Bentonite clay powder is a very nice alternative, as well as arrowroot powder. I'm not a fan of cornstarch, so those who don't want that could use these as an alternative.
This DIY sounds like such a good idea, especially for those times when I have about one millionth of a gram of powder left! Just exaggerating, but I do have a few questions! Let's just say I don't have access to turmeric, corn starch and cocoa powder. Apart from the fact I can easily walk not even a kilometer to get some, what would be a substitute? Could I use baby powder (but the talc would dry my skin)? Eye shadows? Is there any substitute for turmeric? Thank you!
I'm going to go buy 100% cocoa powder just for this!!! Thanks . Just one question , maybe it will sound stupid but I'm new to this make up thing. I mean I used to wear it but i broke out a lot so I stopped using it. Questions: would this be like a more natural /better then any brand ? Im scared to brake out more then I have already. 2. What foundation do you recommend ? Your face looks so beautiful and clean I want to have mine like that.. 11years of acne is a nightmare I want to get out of.. Please help!!!
I did this. I also read to look younger don’t powder the face if your an older mature skin as it shows wrinkles crows feet flaws more so . I prefer the rice flour and beet root powder and cocoa powder as I have no yellow or olive tint.. To set the foundation on shiny areas. But in general creams are youthful looking.we all should watch our budget.
If u want liquid foundation then just add lotion
thanks for the tip!!
+gymnast 22 No problem :)
Or moisturizer. Same thing
Yasmin Wassmer only difference is foundation has a color
Add Lotion to what?
what's the point of using a foundation when you applied concealer on 90% of your face
I agree
hey you can shut up
You use concealer to get rid or black heads , under eye
For anyone with concerns about cornstarch, arrowroot powder is a great alternative!
Phew I was tanks cuz I got the arroot
I have actually been using this for a year now and it looks amazing! I have acne and it doesn't give that weird look when you apply just powder to it.
Am I the only one who thought "faction before blood" when she said liquids before powders?
I think your the only one
Divergent fan😍
Audrey Chen i swear, youre not
yassssssss divergent
Divergent!!!!!!!

is it better for the skin do you think?
Tanks cuz I have that
Please post your recipe if you don't mind.
I would make sure these are all natural if you want it to be good for your skin. :) Something like hibiscus or maybe even beet root powder would be good instead of the blush.
Beet powder
Cocoa powder is extremely good for your skin that's why too faced used it in their chocolate collection
But it makes your face look cakey😂😂
oh cool

IM IN LOVE WITH YOUR TUTORIALS AND YOUR CHANNEL OMG
Instead of using cornstarch, use baby powder because it uses vitamins and aloe but has the same effects as cornstarch!
I was looking for a substitute for that! Thanks!

+Anjali Venga Hey! Does paprika powder irritate your skin? It's hard to find beet powder in my country, glad to find your suggestion!
+Dita Farid
*aww...* thank you!
+Dita Farid You're confusing Paprika with Pepper.
Paprika is not spicy at all, since it's made from paprika/bell-peppers (Which have no Capsaicin, unlike chili peppers which have a LOT of capsaicin.)
Can also use Hibiscus powder to get the pink tone you need for an organic and all natural foundation
definitely - good idea!! please let me know if it has good pigment:)
I haven’t watched this lady in a while ,i always would try to mock her voice like something was stuck in my throat but i love youu ❤️❤️mann childhood was good :))
I used baby powder instead of corn starch because corn starch made my skin look weird :c but it worked better than my actual powder!!
Baby powder has talc which risks of cancer, that's why not a lot of recipes contain it
***** Did you use a Talc free one ?
Oh really! Cornstarch broke me out:(
