Sir your videos are very helpfull for quick revision...thankyou sir Just one silly mistake: 2 x 10^6 - 8 Asc + 278.05 Asc shall be 270 Asc rather than 286 Asc (though that won't alter our final design)
sir you are blessing for all civil engineers.. thankyou sir.. since i am still student i cannot contribute towards the growth of this channel.. but soon i shall start earning then i will support it.
God Bless you Dear, I am not expecting anything from you, study well and have a successful career, if you want to support channel just share the videos to your friends who are studying civil engineering and watch the ads which appear on videos and that is more than enough to support channel, god bless you
Thank you so much sir, please explain about maximum distance between two columns,if maximum distance crosses then what are the remedies or have to provide tie beam to break length.
Sir this checking of 0.05D seems flawed which you did at 07:40. In example, if we consider a column of 230x230mm, then 0.05D is equal to 11.50mm only. This is less than 20mm, so what does this mean? Does it mean we cannot use 230x230 column without even analyzing? Nothing else has been considered yet, like the load, or the height of column, so why using this checking method. There are literally millions of homes build on 230x230 columns designed by structural engineers.
Yes you seems to be right. According to this 0.05D checking, only the column size bigger than 400mm is acceptable. But in the world, there are so many columns that are smaller than 400mm x 400mm. This is really strange. i hope the admin can respond to this flaw.
Sir please also make video on how much load a column can support of certain dimension and also how to calculate load coming to the column from beam and slab
Sir why are we taking area of column 500×500 coz practically uski depth bhi toh hogi and area of cuboid ka formula nhi lgna chahiye same for reinforcement area????
Sir when design a whole building in real then we dont have column dimemsions so we have to design it. Then how we get the dimensions like 230x230 or 500x500 like this. Plz explain sir.
Sir I am so confused about one question asking that design of circular column sir so I can bt problem this question giving 300.300 mm so this is not axial loaded column I think I don't know I am right I am wrong
@@structuralanalysisanddesign sir please I think we have considered only 400 mm dimensions others wise u have to be calculate the banding also my overall consept clear sir bt this I can't 😔😔
please solve below problem Design a rcc column for rectangular cross section subjected to a load 750 kn. consider steel 1% of gross area. use m20 and fe 415 material consider one side of column 300 mm.
Thank you, in question already it was mentioned short column so dint explained about that concept, i will do it as a separate video on that, thanks for watching
@@structuralanalysisanddesign sir as per IS 456 minimum eccentricity is minimum from (1- Leff/500+lateral dimension /30 , 2- minimum eccentricity is 20 mm ) why you don't check which is minimum ? and after calculating eccentricity why you don't chack as per IS code ( page 71) ( emin
Sir in actual we will not have the size of column then how to take the size of column.in actual we can claculate load coming to column, we can use grade of concrete and steel what we want and rest nothing will be given then how you took the size of column as 500*500.sir thank you very much your videos are so helpful for structural engineers🙏🙏🙏

@@structuralanalysisanddesign Sure sir
@@structuralanalysisanddesign what about self weight of column?? 10% of the weight of column
@@structuralanalysisanddesign😊
There is correction in IS code 14:50 Pitch>diameter is not less than 6mm

Sir u are saviour never give up we will always follow you
Thank you so much, always there to help civil engineering students, keep watching and sharing
Tomorrow is my exam, thanks to you I’ve understood this

Sir -8Asc+278.05Asc it's become 270.05Asc and u write 286.05 Asc How🤔🤔
I apologize for the mistake and also answer would have come 370 and minimum Asc is 2000 so we had to take min Asc, sorry for the inconvenience
Your explanation is really helpful.. Keep continuing.
Thank you so much, yes you will find more videos related to civil engineering

Area will be always calculated in m2 or mm2
Ties will not be below at 8mm bars

With uniaxial bending also i have uploaded
please solve below problem

What if eccentricity is greater than 20mm? Tell me
Is it asc or Asc in Pu equation !!? 349.5 thing
Good explanation congrats
I have doubt
Why you didn't talk about slenderness ratio (long or short column)?

Sir plz explain lateral ties
Can you do rectangular column
hello Sir.Excuse me when you wanted to calculate ASC why you used
Pi/4*R^2 (Area of circle is Pi*R^2)
D2 liya hai na ki R2
He took diameter of bar , not radius.
what is service load in column
Sir why don't we use 18mm instead of 20mm
Why 20mm because of eccentricity?
Sir please explain the Design of circular footing sir please 🙏
Sir lectures are very informative thanks
Please publish eccentric column foundation design
Great explanation 😁😁
Sir as per is 456, p49
Minimum stirrup dia should be 16mm but you consider 6 mm?
Is that is 456 printing mistake?
Yes
Upload video about axial loaded column with biaxial bending
Definitely, will be covering all cases of columns, keep watching
Very Nice and informative
Thank you brother, share with your students who might benefit from this

sir i didnt got how - 8 asc +278asc = 286ASC how sir can u give some explanation
Sir 2 line after PU not understand sir please in detail 🙏
also please can you share your thumbnail
278.05Asc - 8Asc. You added them, its wrong. You substract
Nice work bro
But I have a doubt
How come u took 16 times the diameter bro
Same doubt bro
Thank u very much sir
Very helpful video
Explanation is very clear.
Sir send biaxially loaded column ...
Beautiful 🥰
🔴Column Diamension are given in problem so we can assume
Asc = 1% of Ag
That is 0.01x(500×500)
So we can get directly 8 bars requirement
Asc value will be 370.30
thanks sir
Most welcome, keep watching
Sir please explain how to calculate Asc in calculator
❤
Actually u did one mistake sir asc =370.30
❤️😘👍
👍🏻
ASC=370.3* thank me later
