You have managed to make understanding structural load calculation.
YOU SHOULD TEACH!! People like me need you. Excellent.
Thank you so much.
What we haven't understood in whole semester u just took 21 minutes. Awesome. 😘
Seriously awesome lecture mam.
I am structural engineer and I never saw any one explaining the concept this easy.
It was very effective.
Mean while it would be good if u explain calculation of steel for this aswell.
Thanku
Nice mam
@srinivas challa that all comes by experience
Hi, hope you doing well. first thing you did not include the factor in columns. and you also include the factor in total load of building. plz clear that. i will be very thankful to you.
Being a Structural Engineer, I'm very happy with your well-focused & detailed explanations. It's good enough for every buddy beginners. keep It up.
Wow as a structural engineer I can understand very clear... Perfect mam... Thanks a lot ...
Dear I am also civil engineer from Pakistan, you have done a wonderful job and excellent explanation
I have seen many vedios but you provided almost every detail with proper example
Thanku mem......Today u cleared my doubts ............God bless u........
Being a Highway Engineer the lecture help me nicely to recapitulate the same. Thanks 👍
This is probably one of the best explaination i have been through..thank you so much
100% Perfect Explanation.
Super good. THANKS
Excellent and happy to watch your detailed explanation regarding load distribution for column. Always stay blessed & safe. 👍
Thanks for the explanation,my question is if we have Raft foundation at level of ground.does the raft is considered the ground slab?
If the soil is densed then it will raft/ mat foundation. But, if the soil is not densed/ Disturbed soil then ground slab & Deep foundation, both are necessary
where to did you find from those working load on column the 1169 kn???
Total axial load on column 1754 divided by 1.5 factor of safety gives us the total working load of 1169 kN
Sister can you upload how to determind the steel bar on column slabs and beams.
Hi you can watch reinforcement details for column, beam and slab in this channel link below
th-cam.com/video/OsvZGt5TZtk/w-d-xo.html
why it is necessary use the working load? As we can see we will get the small sizes different if we use Factored load.
No words to give you. Great and over great explanation. God bless you. Just want to say more and more thank you.
No better explanation than this.... Excellent... Keep it up... Please guide other methods of design also
Am understanding everything from the beginning, no repetitions, I’ve understood what could have taken me the whole semester.😳😳 thank you so much. Much love ❤️
Is there any codal recommendations for the axial load allowance of column due to bending ?
Hi.
Floor finish load on roof slab and also taking water proofing load both are same ????
Only you can take water proofing load on trace floor
An excellent topic and outstanding commentary. It has been very much appreciated and keep up the good work! Rahman
Mam, I have 2 doubts.
1st.
Did Column load not be convert into factored load??
2nd
is the same procedure for ecentric column??
Aap ko answer mila kya
This is perfectly explained. Thanks a lot for helping me out.
How is it related to your other video in which you were cited how to find the load in columns using slab wt. undergoing one way and two way and beam..because the plan you presented here now is the same with the previous video..and the same finding load on columns..
Perfect ,nice explaination even layman can be calculate now
Vielen Dank ......ich drücke dir die Daumen...... aus Nürnberg
Madam, thank you very much.
Is it not required to consider factored load while calculating self weight of column ? Please, do reply.
I am from Bangladesh. Great teacher you are.
What is the load bearing capacity of 9x9 column assuming 6 12 tmt used in columns for m 20. How many tonnes it can carry
How to make the highlight area if the beams are of irregular lengths on all 4 sides (ex: the left beam is in diagonal shape)
mam , you have a video uploaded on 6 jan , 2018 on load distribution from slabs to beam with the same structure, can we use the reactions around column C6 + Loads from the walls and calculate the axial load on coloumn?
Excellent demonstration ! Thank you.
which book should i refer for this type of numerical example?
hi can someone explain it to me where did she get that 2.535718m @ 21:14 minutes of the video.
√6.429864
When you calculated the footing size , what is working load I can't understand . Can please describe me
while designing footing / sizing the footing we take load from column as working load ( actual load coming on footing, and not factored load ) . The SBC of soil is actually 800 Kn/m2 but the soil consultant ( Geo tech Engineer ) will apply factor of safety around 3 -4 times, so 800/ 4= 200 kn/m2 . so sbc what we get in text book all are factored sbc like 180 or 200 Kn/m2.
Since SBC is already factored we take load from column as service load or unfactored load ( say 1169Kn from above example). If you take column load as factored ( 1754 Kn ) then we are over designing our footing and it will add more cost to it. Hope i have cleared your doubt!!
I understood , thank you sir
In case of roof slab, u took wall loads..but there wont be any walls on roof slab only parapet walls will b der right...???
The load distribution of slab is trapezoidal and triangle as far i know but u took as square. Can u plz clarify?
While transferring load from roof to 2nd floor, u added wall load .
At the roof there is no wall
So total load coming to 2nd floor is app 275.5 KN
GF wall added FF. FF wall added 2F, 2F wall added RF. Total value is correct
Excellent presentation!!! Thank you, well done!
very good explanation, question is the weight of steel is included on your calculations?
That’s the reason she times 25 (density of concrete including steel)
C11 has B14 and B17 on either side. Will C11 carry the load of B14 or B17 please answer
Hi, thanks for the vid. Can someone explain where that 1.1 came from when the vid was talking about a 10% increment? A great step by step breakdown would be highly appreciated. Cheers!
100%+10%=1.1
1/10= { 1+( 1/10) } = 1.1
How to determine depth of this foundation of what you have calculated ma'am. Thank you
What is the Working load..Is it assumed Value ?? and the Density of the masonry is taken as 20KN/m3,is it in IS code ?
base on above lecture ultimate axial load (1754 kn) apply column formula
i am getting column size 400mm x 400mm instead 300mm x 300mm
please correct me madam
thanks for your detail explanation
Excellent presentation. Thank you.
Please prepare a video for pile cap design
Thank You for the detailed explanation. You've been very helpful.
Hi thank you very much for the effort in the upload. I have a question however. What if the column was eccentrically placed on the floor below the floor below?
Love ur content & Appreciate ur efforts
plz upload the videos on consistency
Mam we are calculating the load on column in this video but in the previous video of transfer of load of slabs to beam we are finding the support reactions. If we are calculating the load of column like this , then why to find support reactions
I like but , u have not suggest steel detailing ?
Perfect and very good Explanation 👌👍
In which code book this method is mentioned.?? Any references for this method?
You did not considered f.o.s as 1.5 buy end if the calculation to take working load divided with 1.5 may i know the reason for this ?
06.30 where we will find these data in IS456?
19.48 we where we will find the data to add the increment in codebook? @cwill structures
How did you get the factor load ?, of wall, factored load total and factor load of beam
excellent explanations, I have one small doubt, Yield line theory is not used, your calculation is correct?
Hello mam you may not consider steel load in dead load
Why slab load is not calculated using triangular and trapezoidal load of individual slab ..and that load will be transfered to beams ???
when we calculate load from roof to 2nd floor I think we shouldn't take wall load cause there is no wall on terrace, correct me if I wrong
informative video.
Mam,
Hamki sirf C6 column pe load calculate karna hoga pura building ke liye ya alag alag column ke liye alag alag calculation nikalna hoga.
Sir this method is approximate. We can just get idea what will be near size of footing with same size column. Else full and complete calculation will be done by software.
I want to know that only we have calculate each and every column or only all load calculate at a single load.
Great work.. I am really happy by the concept. Thank you.
During calculation of self of column why don't you take the dimension of slab i.e length and breadth of the slab? Only taking thickness of the slab?
Mam full building area load how to find tell mam
Factored load find karane ke liye,
1.5*Axial load hota hai.But aapne to 1.5 se diveded kiye hai mam.
Please correct kya hoga??
All ok mam I well understand, but how can we say the above footing size is safe ,and how can we calculate depth of footing,in this example we are having column size 300x300 mm ,but how to find column size ,kindly make one simple video mam
Madam do you design one coloumn but you consider 10% I don't understand. Please tell me
I appreciate your Efforts mam (load on footing 1169+117=1286 why you added 117..?)
Should the load of the Columns be added with the load of 2nd floor ?
Nice & Clear explanation madam
How can we deside the column sizes and it's load calculate
what is 117 on the load on footing?
why self weight of column of 117 KN is considered again at the end. PLS ELABORATE. Pls let us know eccentricity value of 10% is in which IS code
Y ur not taking the unit weight of steal in beam and column. because the unit weight concrete only contains the mixture of cement, fineaggregate and coarse aggregate.
Very well explained with complete clarity ...
thank u v much .. it was informative lecture.. i have Question ..
how u calculate working load as 1169 ??
and in self waight of floor slab.. u said 0.125*25
o.125 is volume .. how u calcuated
??
thickness is 230 mm
1754/1.5
Madam, can u explain full design of framed structure in software and how it is practically applied
Very impressive video.. I have seen many times ⏲️. It's too Good.. and ur voice clearlty also
Pls explain @ 2nd to 1st. Slab load will be : 10.7×24 = 256.8kN is right, ( instead of you consider 231.3kN)
This is mistake is coming until the final Axil load on Column.
Great ma'am... Thanks a lot.... Please make more
Nice explanation. Very useful. Thank you.
why didnt you count weights of slab on grade beam ???? in graound floor weights wall and etc..???
How to decide the orientation of colum?
Mam
Jab beam per load aane ke bad coloum per load Wl/2 reaction load be calulate hoga
As per your video for the column size and reinforcement should be same for the all the floors, if the load reduces we have to reduce the size of column
Madam one doubt total self weight of the column is 28kn but weight of each slab beam brickwrk is 495 kn shouldn't be the column should hace more weight than its going to bear? Answer someone
Thank you mam for cleared my all doubts related on load bearing concept
Very useful video mam thank youuuu
Madam how can i calculate moments on columns
Substitute frame method
Madam how u taken that foundation depth as 2.4M from ground level
Foundation depth calculation is wrong
1169 KN working load from where it's come?
@@Udarpayirchi2018 ohk
Thanks
Bar for columns are in L bend shape
And are provided out direction
But why it is provided inward direction in case of rcc wall
Will you uploaded design of foundation with static load/ dynamic load
Here 2.4m from footing base to plith level is consider how?
Am still at begining of the video , i wanna know why size of slab is not considered while calculating the self-weight of slab ????
Thank you for giving knowledge ,
How can you get the area of column surround madam?
