Glad it worked, I am trying the same method but my lights go dim when I try to power them up. How many tortise and lights can u hook up to the 12v at the same time . Any help would be great
Your right Robert, an extra dwarf signal does work off the same connection. I had two faulty dwarf signals . My home & distant signals are working fine.....Thanks again for your help.....U.K. Brian
Thank you for this info...I have used this Diagram & it works great but my Led restors are getting quite warm. what value resistors did you use.. My wall adapter is 12 volts...
just a suggestion..if you aren't finished with your in stall, try this. you can install your panel led's in series with eithr pin 1 or pin 8. hook your leds in the same fashion & install them in series with pin 1 or 8. the draw is minimal & won't have an effect on tortoise operation & you will save some time. for your dwarfs why don't you use the internal contacts in the tortoise machine. this is how i have mine set up vinny...aka...bnsf6951
Thank you for showing how its done video. I'm in the process of building a High shelf twin track layout in a 20 x 28 room. I plan on running a couple of turnouts on there and it's very important to me to know the position of the turnouts. 🚂🚃🚃🚃
Hello Robert, is it possible to wire a home & distant dwarf signals into a Tortoise motor Ive got the home signal working but not the distant even though I conect it to the one thats working.......
Thomas i got these years ago from an Australian Company, which i forget now. But i'm going to buy some more for the new layout but these will come from China cheers Robert
I am curious. How many tortise switch machines and leds can be hooked up to the 12v power supply at one time. I ask cause intried this and when the leds are hooked up the lights are very faded and dim. And when switching it it dosent seem to work and I would really like for this to work . Any help would be great. I have about 6 tortise switch machines hooked up to my powet supply
@@csxmad I am using the same one u are as I followed what u purchased and u had givem me where to buy them. Maybe I should try without resistor as maybe I got wrong ligjts
Frank i got these from wholesale trains but they have gone out of business, but you should be able to get these from model train hobby shops or E-Bay cheers Robert
