The Ruthless Aggression era is massively underrated and overlooked due to how popular the Attitude era was. This era needs more recognition. It’s my personal favorite era.
The music, the merchandise, the video games, the title belts we used to bring to school, the action figures, the heated conversations over which show was better between Raw and SmackDown…I miss it all so much. The RA era was WWE’s seamless transition into the 21st century - easily able to mesh mainstream pop culture with what made it great in the first place: hardcore wars between two men that some scores to settle. It was a damn-near perfect blend of the grittiness from Attitude Era and the grandiose brought forth from a new generation of superstars that only wanted to perpetuate the raw emotion and intensity from when they watched the program at younger ages. I just wish the “E” could return to a semblance of its savage nature that made it so great, seems to me that they want to make the product so squeaky clean nowadays. Great video as always.
The Ruthless Aggression era will go down as my favorite era of all time, of course i am biased because i grew up with it but it was just so damn good. Ruthless Aggression era takes me back to sneaking and recording smack down on my VCR and watching it when my parents were asleep. One of these days I’m gonna go back and watch Royal Rumble 2004 and Wrestlemania XX because Chris Benoit was hands down my favorite wrestler as a kid, and a part of me still wants to remember him as he was.
THANK YOU for mentioning Benoit... what he did was inexcusable but the professional side was something we too quickly forget. That triple threat at 'Mania 20 is what got me into wrestling.
@@FernandoMartinez-pv1idyeah the Benoit tragedy led to a huge overhaul in the industry for safety and wellness policies, as well as the switch in 2008 to TV-PG. That horrible event not only ended the lives of 2 innocents + Benoit, but it did an indescribable amount of damage to pro wrestling's reputation and quality that we're still trying to undo. Neutered, lame, goofy, uninteresting, lazy writing and bad characters tanked ratings for the 2010s.
I’m not a Ruthless Aggression guy - at all - but the passion in this video made me appreciate it and put me in the shoes of someone who loved it. Great job.
And the fun fact that we even still got Austin, Rock, Goldberg and Hogan in this era too is just insane. It's pretty much peak WWE for me, Attitude Era was fun as and everything was super awesome. But Ruthless Aggression Era just tuned into the emotional aspect of Pro Wrestling so well. Not just WWE but also TNA and ROH too. The Memory Will Never Die.
austin only wrestled one match (wrestlemania 19). he was still an on screen character until 2004 I think? rock also wasnt there that long he had the great triple threat at vengeance 2002, lost to brock the next month at summerslam. then he disappeared for a few months coming back around January 2003 as a heel. wrestled Hogan at no way out 2003, then Austin's retirement match at wrestlemania then put over goldberg at backlash 2003 and he was gone. five ppv matches. not that much. its crazy but Hogan and even Kevin Nash (he had a big feud with triple h in 2003) were a bigger part of the ruthless aggression era than Rock and Austin .
Man I sure do miss being a kid! Like you said we were so spoiled with the stacked wwe roster, even with sports, good movies that came out every year, and good video games. It’s not the same anymore, but I’m sure glad I grew up when I did!
Spot on video! Trish was and still is my biggest crush and was the first person I ever felt something for lol. I was born in 89' so I grew up through the WWF new generation with bret Hart, an emerging mega star named Shawn Michaels, Yokozuna, etc. I watched WCW and seen its rise and fall, the monday night wars, the attitude era, and beyond. Yet the ruthless aggression era to me is the epitome of professional wrestling. It had the perfect balance of great wrestling and clever enough storylines to keep you engaged. Unlike say the attitude era where the wrestling took a backseat to the over the top drama and characters. When you had brock lesnar, eddie Guerrero, kurt angle, edge, undertaker, rey Mysterio all on the same brand and in their primes, i think people don't realize the level of greatness we got to witness in 2002-2006 WWE.
It's like the edgyness of the attitude Era and the classic matches from the current Era were both here it had edgy storylines gritty characters and classic matches it's like the perfect blend just awesomeness

Im from Germany and we overseas had the same childhood with one difference. Only Smackdown was airing in free tv. So smackdown stars like the undertaker in that time have a higher standing for us than a triple h for example. But still it was always exciting to see raw stars in video games or in Highlights that were shown on smackdown. Also it was really hard for our generation to watch the pvp s. With a 6-9 hour difference to the US making it almost impossible to watch and our parents would never have allowed us to pay money for tv. Broooo you touched so many memories we are so much alike thank god we had a good childhood when entertainment was lit. Everything you said was just to on point
Say bro dont ever stop making theses wwe vids man im over crying off all the memories ive had its amzing love the vids man keep it pushing
2000s wrestling was so fun
Man I was born in 1992 so I was able to watch the tail end of the attitude Era! I played WWF No mercy on N64 all day 3rd grade and I had wrestlemainia 2000
Then I jumped straight into the ruthless aggression Era Here Comes The Pain Smackdown vs Raw 2006-08
Man San Andreas all that great years Man I darn near cried 😢 looking back thanks for the trip down memory lane ! 🙏 I'm turning 30 on valentine's day so yeah cheers yall
I unlocked a memory when you said ripping out the poster that was also me too but honestly this whole video was a trip down memory lane
Thank you so much for this video.
You made me realize why I fell in love with wrestling in the first place.... I am truly greatful. 🙏🏼
Undertaker breaking out of a burning casket is actual nightmare fuel. Randy's expression says it all
This was just an amazing trip down to memories. Thank you for doing this Man.. 🔥❤️😄
That whole first 40 seconds....ALL YES DUDE!! ALL YES!!! You was taking me back to the good days!!
Ruthless Aggression Era will always reign on to of other Eras.
They have all the full matches on peacock. Makes me so happy knowing I can dive back into my childhood at any moment
I can still enjoy watching his matches... to an extent.
I can't watch him without thinking about what he did.
The closest thing ever to a time machine 😭
Back when wrestling was at it's peak
so was most of our lives
THANK YOU for mentioning Benoit... what he did was inexcusable but the professional side was something we too quickly forget. That triple threat at 'Mania 20 is what got me into wrestling.
Benoit is what ended the Ruthless Aggresion Era.
@@FernandoMartinez-pv1idNah. Linda McMahon's Senate campaign ended it.
@@Loe_Jist I started watching TNA after the Benoît tragedy occurred. WWE at that time was in a weird place. Then, I came back when Y2J returned.
@@cjvaye99 The fact still stands we did in fact get them so I count it.
@@cjvaye99 remember 2002? wrestlemania 18? Wrestlemania 20
Yeah not one associates Stone Cold and The Rock in RA. They were barely active in that time.
And yeah the video games especially were hits, I played the shit out of Smackdown vs RAW 2006 every day when my uncle passed me down his PS2 back then. Good times and lucky I still have it in my living room hooked up with 😂
The good old days
Kurt angle: who in the hell are you
John cena: I'm john cena
Kurt: what's the one quality that u posses that makes u think u can come out here and face the very best in the business.
John cena: RUTHLESS AGGRESSION
The rest is history...........
Oh man watching this with goosebumps and
a smile thankyou.
I’ve been so nostalgic recently thinking about these things u mentioned, this was a perfect video
The best years of WWE.
The ruthless aggression era was legit back in from 2002-08 miss the old days and same with the mid late attitude era from 2000-02
This made me realise how lucky i am for growing up watching this.
Dude this mini doc should win awards. Your channel is top notch!! Love your stuff
As an indian,I can connect with you about how we all loved katrina at that time, even now
Man is this a wwe video or a trip down memory lane. This video hit so many feels. thank you!
God I wish we had a time machine so we could go back in time and relive these great times 😭💯
@Bradley Barnett really i miss those years so much im always thinking about those good times every single day miss them 😭😭😭
me too :(
I love how u remembered all those awesome matches and PPVs....I truly miss all that 2....THANKZ 4 THE AWESOME 👌 👏 VIDEO....
Katrina and Trish 🔥🤤
Maaaannn....you just wrapped up the best moment any child from any era would have wanted to live in in less than 30 minss.....those were the times
One of my favorite eras in WWE history. Good times. Much better than the Attitude and PG eras.
The PG era in my opinion was overrated.
Overall the 2000s were the best era of television and videogames. i never knew that 2006 or 2009 would be way better than 2022.
Im Exited for this Love this content
Thanks for the trip down memory lane 😭🔥 this video was awesome 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
It's like the edgyness of the attitude Era and the classic matches from the current Era were both here it had edgy storylines gritty characters and classic matches it's like the perfect blend just awesomeness
Your making me really truly miss that great moment in time.
You had me re-living' deep flashback memories of everything illustrated in your video.
You have a perfect time capsule.
Thank You for this video.
You made my day.
That's why I wish I could go back to those days I miss it soo much
True late 90s early 2000s was just something else no technology,no social media, no people getting offended over anything nothing just good quality life

The WWE ‘Ruthless Aggression’ Era may have actually been better than the Attitude Era in Terms of Relatable Wrestlers but both were Awesome Regardless … 💯
Yeah Ruthless Aggression era was the best, for me atleast
It was better in match quality fs

Man I was not at that time but I can feel it the way you present it was amazing . I bet u kinda cried like making this video it felt so real . This was your best video bro keep going and yeah ruthless aggression is the best wrestling era .
legendary and awesome era
enough said.
Maaan those saturday night Smackdown shows ,one day after airing in the us, had a huge influence on us here
I wish I was born in 1990s so I could have enjoyed attitude era and ruthless aggression 😣
You mean the 80's
Didn't know you were Indian. Till date I thought Wrestlingifs was the only Indian IWC guy
Same 😂
The most well rounded era in terms of characters, ring quality, storyline, stars etc it really has it all
Attitude Era & Ruthless Aggression that’s it.
Edit : ECW 🙃
