That first year, Coby was on track to get the FF record until the coaches shut him down. I thought he played well, and didn't pout when getting demoted in year two. Year three was GREAT. We needed him to step into the S role and he did not disappoint. It's up to coach Mike of course, and I believe that with his college pedigree and his pro production at two positions, we resign and keep him instead of thinking we'll do better in the draft or FA. Earl Thomas started out as a CB and converted to S and did great. Coby looks like he will really step up his production in year four and he has good synergy with the DBs. LETS GOOOOOOO!!!!!
Agree with most of this but we drafted ET as a free safety.
Do it! Extend Coby and Cross now while they’re relatively cheap compared to what they’ll be next year. On D, I want Reed, Jones and Coby back. Go Hawks!
They probably will. I think he is worth $5-6 million a year, but it's hard to know for sure with only 11 games under his belt (as a safety).
Coby is very versatile and above average in all aspects. I would love to have him around the next 3-5 years.
Hmm, I’m fine with them letting it play out or signing him to a reasonable contract. They could also draft a day 3 safety and UDFAs for a cheap replacement and allocate the cash to an extension for Bryant to a more pressing need, like punter… EXTEND THE GOAT
Coby played well. As to the ranking the 'worth' in $'s of all these guys, well it's not up to us. The market will dictate it.
Love what Bryant did for us this past season but that kid from South Carolina could be special like Kam was. I’m all in on Emmanuwari regardless of bigger needs
Macdonald plays a lot of 3 safety sets.
This is a no brainer, he knows the system, he’s damn good at it, on the cheaper side for safteys
He'll get Rayshawns 💰 and a rookie to compete with
He’s cheap, good, and safeties don’t make much money per year. Our gm would look incompetent if we don’t bring him back
He played well this season but his track record is small. Think we let him play it out and see if he maintains the same level of play.
2 first round picks woolen Dre jones and k9 for Josh Allen
top 10 worst things ever typed
Maybe a 2 year with the option to get out after a year. I really like Coby but he has only had like half a good year after two years of meh play or not playing at all.
Dude has gotten screwed out of a few turnovers so his numbers are better than what they seem but idk if he was proven he can be a solid player for an entire year
I thought Coby played very good. He is a sure tackler, and causes turnovers plus he's still learning the position. If he plays just as good or better next year, extending him might cost twice as much. I don't see him regressing, he's to cerebral and driven. Pay the man now and JS will save the team money in the future.
Bryant is the weakness of the defense. Draft Emmanuri…
This isn't a great safety class, starks and Emmanwori are the only ones who might be better than Bryant
The d-line was the weakness. Our safety room wasn’t great but it certainly wasn’t our biggest problem on defense
@@trentwise3762t d line? Williams, Murphy and Reed is a weakness to you? You must want all Madden.
saftey definitely wasnt the weakness they were both pretty good this year
@ “you must want all madden” what? English bud.
Murphy did not have a good year. There were multiple rookies drafted after that did much better in the same position.
He could do better this year but to act like he had a good year is just blatant favoritism. He got a total of 0.5 sacks. Even for a rookie DT, that’s not good.
Reed is okay. He is just that though. He isn’t a game changer. He didn’t get more than a single sack in any game.
