I love Muse! If you’re looking for more, “Supermassive Black Hole” is their most popular song, as well as “Hysteria”. They’re also releasing a new album soon, so you could listen to “Won’t Stand Down” too.

Love this. MUSE are an incredible band. They've been going since the late 90's and are still pumping out massive songs. Such a huge rabbit hole to go down. As many have said, you NEED to check out some live performances too to get a true idea of just how good these guys are. Some ideas: Madness (Live in Rome), Uprising (Manchester 2010), Knights of Cydonia (Rome), Supermassive Black Hole (Tokyo Zepp), Reapers (Cologne), & loads more. Trust us :)

Muse is one of the most incredible bands of the last 20 years. Matt Bellamy, as you can hear, has a voice with very few limits. If you go down this road, "Madness" is a must. "Hysteria" has one of the most KILLER bass riffs of all time, and "The Dark Side" has a video that you'll love. And the band is pronounced "MYOOZE", like in "amusement park".

This whole album is inspired on the book "1984"; it's about a dystopic country controlled by a dictator whi is able to manipulate media, social relationships, and even thoughts and feelings. So he's talking about the political power, and how people should take it back :)
BTW, I love your reactions! Muse is such a good band... try "the time is running out", "hysteria", "absolution", or "butterflies and hurricanes". Greetings from Mexico :)

Most people don't notice this, but in the last chorus the singer's vocals are doubled. The quieter vocal in the background is singing the chorus a full octive higher than the main vocal. It is most easily heard during "Force us" and "Control us". Insanely high.

Aaah Muse. I started listening to them religiously in 2022 and fell in love instantly. I love them with all of their imperfections. They're just incredible.
This Uprising song is just one of their many incredible songs. My fave parts are the bassline, the synth, the vocal... Yess that 'come on' part is so gooooood. Try watch they kicked Glastonbury 2010 with this song. Got goosebumps all over my body, even better when the crowd sang the riff/lyrics. Muse are incredible live performers as well. In my opinion they're the best British rock band in the past 25 years.

    Came out in 2009.
Bellamy told MTV News that this is one of the key tracks on The Resistance. He explained: "It's the first track on the album, it kind of sums up what some of the album's about. You know, just sick of all these bloody bankers, politicians... just turning everything to a load of bol---ks. Just spending money on s--- and blowing everything. So it's kind of like a song that says, 'Take the power back, but have a good time at the same time.' Have a good time all the time, that's what we believe."

Timeless songs speak to larger principles and natures, instead of current era allegory.
This song works so well in any era because it speaks to the human condition...
Some people seek to gain power, and then try to use that power over others. And it is in our nature to rise up against this.
You could read these lyrics out over a thousand years of our history and find people identifying with it.
    Really great song!

It is obvious the music this guy have been listening to has very little variation. But I am glad to see he is taking steps to correct this. The world is full of fantastic music of countless types. To only listen to one of type is to rob oneself of a near infinity of fantastic musical experiences.
