Se cocina hasta que tenga esa consistencia?
Hi Andrea,
Yes, that consistency. When it starts to thicken, remove it from heat. It will thicken more when it cools.
What if wala pong corn flour? Ano pwede substitute don? Ty
Sorry cornstarch ginamit ko hindi corn flour. Alternatively, I used tapioca starch for thickening and gives a better smooth texture than flour.
what milk do you use?
Hi, whole milk or evaporated milk.
What about milk powder@@MaricelsRecipes
To substitute the whole milk or evaporated milk with milk powder. Measure 1/3 cup milk powder and add with all the dry ingredients in a saucepan - cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and corn starch.
Mix all the ingredients with a whisk, then add 1-1/2 cups of water. For the full written instructions and printable recipe please visit my website

@@MaricelsRecipes OK thanks
Pwede ba APF?
Hi,
Hindi ko pa natry to substitute with APF. I don't think it will turn out as smooth as the cornstarch.
It’s not turning thick at all
Hi,
Step by step instructions👇
Measure and add all the dry ingredients in a saucepan - cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and corn starch.
Mix all the ingredients with a whisk, then add the milk.
Keep whisking on low heat until well incorporated, then add butter to melt. Add coffee granules to intensity the chocolate flavour, if desired
Make sure on low heat, add the egg yolk and whisk until blended.
After a few minutes, it will start to thicken. Add vanilla if desired. Remove from heat and transfer to a bowl with a fine-mesh strainer. Strain for a smooth lump-free chocolate ganache.
Use immediately to dip donuts or pastries, like eclairs or dipping sauce for churros.
Refrigerate for an hour to thicken into a spreadable consistency for your cakes or cupcakes.

This is not ganache. It is chocolate pudding.
Hi Carolyn,
Although almost the same ingredients the texture and taste are different than chocolate pudding. This recipe mimics the consistency of melted semi-sweet chocolate with milk.
Here are the ingredients showing different measurements
Chocolate Pudding Ingredients
1 ⅓ cup sugar
⅔ cup cocoa
⅓ cup cornstarch
4 ½ cups milk
3-4 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
Chocolate Ganache made of cocoa powder Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup whole milk or evaporated milk
2/3 cup cocoa powder
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup cornflour
1/4 cup butter salted or unsalted add a pinch of salt
1 egg yolk
