This is cool. A lot better than the Country Bear Vacation Hoedown we used to have. I like that Henry is actually the Master of Ceremonies. In Country Bear Jamboree, Wendell tells Henry that he is supposed to introduce all the acts, which he doesn't do in any of the shows... at least in the American parks. It seems like in Tokyo, they understood the point of Henry's existence. I like all the slight differences. Vacation Hoedown is my favorite of the 3 Country Bear shows and I like that the show elements are different in Japan. Some of the sequences are in a different order, some of the songs are new and different, not just Japanese dubs, the octopus sings with Terrence, there is a good mix of Japanese and English, and all the animatronics looks nice and maintained and clean. Great show. The only thing missing is Ernest. I didn't see him in the show.
here's an interesting fact you might not know, the duet Delores the Octopus and Shaker sing in this show was originally intended for our version but was changed to "Two Different Worlds" probably the most likely reason is our sidekicks for Shaker weren't full-fledged AA's like Tokyo has.
Once again, it shows how Japan isn't just looking for turn-arounds when it comes to their audiences. They want them to have a good show. Also, that's very interesting. I didn't really think about there being a lot of lore behind the Country Bears and how their songs were chosen, especially during overlays. The only interesting thing I knew about our Delores was that she now just sits in the queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout.
I have 2 Tokyo DisneyLand Cassettes with the complete soundtrack to this and one cd to that has it as well. The only part the cassette and cd is missing is achy breaky heart.
