This is the first time “guide tones” was so clearly explained for me. Nice work.

I’ve said it before your approach is awesome. Light easy and gets you playing - you have a great way of keying on the simplest things that change so much. And the backing tracks are so tasty

Awesome, thank you! That's nice to hear because that exactly what I'm going for.

Incredible lesson. I've learned the scales that go with the chords. I've been learning the chord tones up and down the neck. But I was missing the glue that puts this all together. I love how you kind of think of this in advance when thinking about a solo when you're practicing. You can find the guide tones that kind of fit and use those as your anchors. Genius.

It's super helpful. I am trying to translate your lesson to the piano. I have high hopes it will be the catalyst to get me to the next level. Thanks!

This is a simple and super valuable lesson. Such a clear explanation of how to use chord tones (comes harder than expected to so many of us) to give structure to improv based on pentatonics (which many of us use too much, or, at least, unmusically). Thanks for sharing

Hey thanks! I had to check but I just use some regular shampoo and conditioner. Argan Oil by Ogx. I wash it every 3-4 days. It flattens out so on days I film, I wash it or like a chia pet, just add water!

This is all well and good, but if you leave the emotional aspect out of soloing, it just becomes an exercise. The best solos come from somewhere emotionally.

Couldn't agree more! I keep meaning to make videos about that topic. Although I don't see the harm in doing musical exercises. Should a basketball player not learn about the game and exercise but only focus on the emotion of playing?

You have to learn how to play before you can play with emotion.
