This is so helpful! I was looking on Etsy originally and as a creative person, I just KNEW I could make something on my own, to be personal for our wedding and this tutorial put the light bulb on in my head! Great idea! Thank you!
Hi Alicia! Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm so happy my tutorial inspired you to make something that reflects you as a couple for your wedding. That's what my videos are all about! Thanks for checking out my video and commenting.

That's so wonderful to hear! Thank you so much for your kind words and your positive feedback. I know planning a wedding can be overwhelming and a lot of work. I'm so happy that I can make your wedding planning a little easier and enjoyable! All the best!
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I was looking for a way to display the words "We Still Do" at my friend's 30th anniversary party on Saturday and this is it. Thank you again.
Amazing! Congrats to your friends on their major wedding anniversary. I'm so happy you found this tutorial helpful. Tag me on Instagram once you finish your project so I can share it with others!
Thanks so much for your kind words and for watching Jenny. I'm so happy to know you will be making this project for your own special day. All the best!
Hi Chardae! The frame I used was 49 x 59 cm (19 x 23 inches). Please use any size frame that you love. For the font size I used size 144 in the large phrase "Love Starts Here" and for the smaller monogram letters I used size 96 and size 144 for the "&". I decided to enlarge the words and letters further on my MacBook Pro when I printed them. I printed a few samples out in different enlargements until I got the size that I loved using my picture frame for reference. I hope that helps!
What a beautiful sign! I have a 16x20 frame spray painted and set with floral decor. I realized after buying the frame, it has a plastic instead of glass. Do you think this process may still work with the marker? I was also wondering where you found the fonts for your sign? Thank you so much for your time and great d.i.y.s!! 😁
Such a cool idea! I wanted to ask if I could make a flower wall using the same glass frame idea? I am trying to figure out how to make a flower wall that can stand outside. Thanks!
Hi Mohy! It is possible to use this idea for a flower wall. However, a very large piece of glass outdoors may not be the best way to go if it's windy that day. You may want to consider writing on something less fragile such as clear plastic! I think using clear plastic so you can still trace the letters would work much better because it's not as fragile. Let me know if this works for you!
Hi! I used an oil-based white paint marker from a dollar store. Oil-based paint markers have great colour payoff and should be water resistant which works well if you are placing your welcome sign outside. All the best!
Great video, just one question... will the paint marker eventually start to chip away or is there a spray or some sort of coat that can be put over the letters to protect it from chipping away?
Hi Brandi! I've had this sign for a couple years and I haven't noticed any chipping of the paint. Oil based paint pens should be quite durable so long as you don't intentionally scrape away the paint. Thanks so much for your question and for watching! - Felicia
Hi Susie! Thanks so much for your question. I attached the silk flowers to the frame using hot glue. I recommend watching my detailed Q&A video in case you have any more questions about this project. You can watch it here. th-cam.com/video/LlPjaArxJzQ/w-d-xo.html Thanks so much for watching! - Felicia
most delightful way thank you so much. I already watched it thanks :). Last question is is the glass you used in the team actually glass or is it some sort of plastic
I'm glad you watched the Q&A video. The glass I used in the project is actually glass but you can also use a frame with a plastic sheet. The oil-based paint pen will still work on that surface and it'll probably be lighter and less fragile. I hope this answers your questions. Thanks for asking them Susie!
Thanks so much for watching and commenting Yvette! That's a great idea for a video. Is there a type of style for the menus and place cards that you like?
That's so sweet of you to say that! Thank you so much for watching and for commenting. I'm so happy my tutorial has given you the knowledge and confidence you need to make this beautiful project. Let me know how it turns out! - Felicia
Hi Aimee! Thanks so much for your question! You absolutely can do this project on plastic. I'm so glad you love the tutorial. All the best on your project and thank you so much for watching and commenting!
Hi Jane! I'm so glad you enjoyed this video. I used a free online design program called Canva to design the words and printed it from my computer. Hi Linda! Thanks for your kind words and your question. Feel free to use whatever fonts you love. In this project, I used a font called "Great Vibes" for the words "Love Starts Here". For the letters "S & L", I used a font called Playfair Display. I've posted a Q&A video where I answer the most common questions I receive about this tutorial. You can watch it here: th-cam.com/video/LlPjaArxJzQ/w-d-xo.html
You're most welcome Daliah! I'm so happy this video and the idea was useful to you. Please let me know if there are any other wedding related videos and ideas you'd like to see. It could be the focus of a future Most Delightful Way video. All the best! Felicia
Hi Daliah. I got the flowers from an arts and craft store called Michaels and I attached them to the frame with hot glue. Here's the link to the store www.michaels.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-MichaelsCanada-Site/default/Home-Show
Beautiful frame! Quick Question - how do you get the glass to stay in place? Once I take the backing off, the glass doesn't have support to stay in the frame.
Hi Linda! I bent the metal clips/tabs towards the glass to hold it in place. I've made two large see-through wedding welcome signs now for two weddings and this method has worked really well. If you would like to add more support you can always add hot glue or caulking to the back between the glass and wood. All the best on your crafting project! Thanks for watching.
How did you get the glass frame to stand on its own if you've removed the backing of the frame? I'm making this right now and would really appreciate a quick response as this is for a wedding tomorrow 😘
Hi! My sincere apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I've been really sick and I wasn't checking my messages. You can put a ring of hot glue along the back of the glass to hold it to the frame. Bend metal pieces towards the back of the glass to make it more secure. I hope the sign turned out well!
Hi. Thanks for the video. I love it and want to do it for our wedding as well. Did you pre- write in Microsoft Word? What lettering / font did you use?
Hi! You definitely can design your message in Microsoft Word and adjust the size of your letters that way. Feel free to use whatever fonts you love. I didn't use Microsoft Word for this project. I used a font called "Great Vibes" for the words "Love Starts Here". For the letters "S & L", I used a font called Playfair Display. All the best in your wedding planning!
Hi there! I used a paint pen from a dollar store so your pen doesn't have to be expensive to work. You may want to try an oil based paint pen because it has great colour payoff and shouldn't runoff in rainy weather.
Hi Nicole! Thanks for watching and for your question. I used hot glue to place the flowers on the frame. Here's a quick Q&A video that will hopefully answer any other questions about this project that you may have. th-cam.com/video/LlPjaArxJzQ/w-d-xo.html Happy crafting! Kindest regards, Felicia
Thanks for your question, Mi! In terms of the font size I used size 144 in the large phrase "Love Starts Here" and for the smaller monogram letters I used size 96 and size 144 for the "&". I decided to enlarge the words and letters further on my MacBook Pro when I printed them. I printed a few samples out in different enlargements until I got the size that I loved using my picture frame for reference. I hope that answers your question and thanks for watching!
most delightful way Thank you so much for the quick response. I'll try to do it today, hope it will turn out to be as beautiful as yours. Thank you for the wonderful video. Much appreciate! Have a great day.
Hi Katie! Great question. I show you how to get the glass to stay in place in this video . th-cam.com/video/LlPjaArxJzQ/w-d-xo.html Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for watching! In this project, I used a font called "Great Vibes" for the words "Love Starts Here". For the letters "S & L", I used a font called Playfair Display. Feel free to use whatever fonts you love.
Hi Quynh, thank you for your question! Use a hot glue gun to attach the flowers to the frame. Good luck on your welcome sign and thank you so much for watching!
Hi Moenay! Thanks for watching and for your question. I used an oil-based paint pen. They're water-resistant and smudge-resistant. There are several companies that make them. Happy crafting!
Hi Geli, I secured the glass to the frame by bending the metal tabs at the back of the frame towards the glass. I've done it for two welcome signs and it's worked beautifully. If you're more concerned about it moving I suggest gluing a rim of hot glue around the glass at the back of the frame. I hope that answers your question. Thanks for taking the time to write and watch!
Hi Ashley! Your wedding theme sounds amazing! I created a beautiful wedding message on a mirror for my wedding send-off party and it turned out wonderfully. However, you can't trace the letters on the mirrors like you do on glass. One potential option is to use a stencil of your message by cutting out the printed letters by hand and filling in the spaces on your mirror. I would test it out on another mirror first because it would be a shame to ruin the mirror you want to use for your wedding. All the best on your wedding planning!
Hi Tasha, I placed monogram glitter ornaments inside the vases with the letters M, D, W, to stand for Most Delightful Way. I got them from a craft store (Michaels). Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hi Britney! Thanks for watching and for your question. I used an oil-based paint pen because it doesn't come off easily. If you want to remove the oil-based paint, try applying a small amount of acetone to a cotton ball or pad. Lightly dab the affected surface to dissolve the paint marking. You can also try rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) to remove small amounts of oil-based paint. If you want to use something that's more erasable, try a chalk marker for this project. I hope this answers your question. Felicia
Hi! Gently bending the existing metal pieces on the back of the frame towards the glass will help secure it to the frame. That was enough for my welcome sign in the video but if you want it to be more secure you can try using a bit of glue such as hot glue or epoxy glue to make sure it doesn't wiggle around. Thanks for watching!
Hi there! Thanks for watching and for your question. I discuss what font sizes I used for this project in this detailed Q&A video here th-cam.com/video/LlPjaArxJzQ/w-d-xo.html

Hi Felicia,

Hi, could you please tell me where I can get the frame and glass please
Hi Ebony, I got the frame which included the glass from Michaels. Thanks for watching and for your question!
great video! thanks for sharing! what type of pen do you recommend for this project?
Hi there! I used a paint pen from a dollar store so your pen doesn't have to be expensive to work. You may want to try an oil based paint pen because it has great colour payoff and shouldn't runoff in rainy weather.
What did you use to place the flowers on the frame? Double sided tape?
Hi Nicole! Thanks for watching and for your question. I used hot glue to place the flowers on the frame. Here's a quick Q&A video that will hopefully answer any other questions about this project that you may have. th-cam.com/video/LlPjaArxJzQ/w-d-xo.html

Hi there, could you mind replying me what sizes for both of the fonts what you used in this video? Thank you so much
Thanks for your question, Mi!

Can this be done on a mirror. I am having a 1920's theme weddding; I have found a great mirror just trying to figure out the lettering.
What do you have inside those vases?
Hi Tasha, I placed monogram glitter ornaments inside the vases with the letters M, D, W, to stand for Most Delightful Way. I got them from a craft store (Michaels). Thanks for watching and commenting!
what marker is that?
Is paint pen erasble?
I hope this answers your question.

thank you Daliah, what kind of glue / methods to keep the glass on the frame?
Hi! Gently bending the existing metal pieces on the back of the frame towards the glass will help secure it to the frame. That was enough for my welcome sign in the video but if you want it to be more secure you can try using a bit of glue such as hot glue or epoxy glue to make sure it doesn't wiggle around. Thanks for watching!
thank you, hot glue will do~~~
