Joe, I love the Porsche Panamera Turbo Sports Turismo GTS I love how and I feel like this is "THEE Apostle to the Luxury Wagons and you know you made It when you have a Porsche Wagon to haul your family that's truly the sign of success.
The Panamera GTS is a beautiful vehicle but I would have to go with the Audi RS6 Avant. It is also a fantastic looking ride and it's about 40K less expensive. However the surprise of 2024 could very well be the Jaguar F Pace SVR. Yes, it's an SUV but it's less then 100K and it's probably the best performing SUV on the market. Especially for the price. It punches why above it's weight class. Anyway, another fun video. Thank You. Cheers!!!
@@yurykorsky67 I haven’t driven one but it would be all fun n games until the warranty goes out and they would tell you how much per hour to fix it but I would go for the extended
When I got wind that Porsche would discontinue the Panamera ST for the 2024 MY refresh, I immediately sought out a 2023 MY ST in our area. There were not many around. I fortunately found one that met my requirements. Four months into ownership and driving around in various situations, I cannot be more pleased. The vehicle stands out and looks great. And it is so practical in loading things in the back. I hope Porsche reconsiders the ST body style in the future for its Panamera refresh.
Are those V8s? I was referring to V8s. Mercedes 5.5 and 6.3 would be considered massive, but compared to LS7 7.0 liter V8, even those are just big V8s.
I would probably just get an Audi RS Q8 and call it a day. It's basically the little brother of the Lambo Urus and has more utility than this car. There's no denying though, that the Panamera GTS is a sleek, sexy sport performance sedan.
I don’t think anyone has actually seen the front end of the new m5 touring in camouflaged but I guarantee the grill will be much smaller than the RS6. Let’s also not forget that the G81 M3 touring holds the record at the Nurburgring. It’s much lighter than the RS6. Thanks for holding my beer
Very nice car. And I agree with you Joe. How in the world does that car not have ventilated seats? Another great review. Please, if you ever get a chance, can you review an Audi RSQ8. That's my dream car right there.
Hey Joe, it's my understanding that the Porsche orderbook for the Panamera Sport Turismo remains open until March 2024. If true, then this s the Last Call for anyone who wants to get one of these in their driveway. Better hurry folks cuz February 2024 will go by faster than 911 GT3 in the fast lane!
I went from a 2013 Panamera GTS to a 2015 RS7, which is of course mechanically identical to the RS6. I then went back to Porsche when the Sport Turismo arrived, with a Turbo S/T. I now drive a '21 Panamera Turbo S S/T. I'm devastated that PCNA will no longer import the Panamera S/T in any of its versions. I cross shopped the RS6 when it was released, but my experience with the RS7 led me stay with Porsche. What nobody seems to comment on is the HUGE difference in handling between the Porsche and the Audi. The RS6, like all IE Audis, has its entire engine mounted ahead of the front axle. This leads to a car that when pushed will always understeer noticeably. The Porscfhe handling is much more neutral, particularly with the rear wheel steering. Yes, there is a price delta. But comparing the two cars directly, the Porsche is way more car than the Audi.
As a wagon enthusiast, I drool over this car, along with the Audi RS6 Avant. Choosing between the two would be agonizingly difficult - I love both, although I'd say the Audi is more of a traditional station wagon, whereas the Sport Turismo is more of a chopped off wagon or extended hatchback, like the body style of a Golf GTI (although the Golf doesn't have that rear window behind the rear doors).
Nice review as usual but I never liked the panamera design, maybe I am purist guy but if Porsche would build a wagon akin to the bmw M3…slap on two motors with a 3.6 twin turbo v6, 600hp and it would kill everything out there..
It's a lot nicer than my mom's old Country Squire but it doesn't carry as much and the gas mileage is about the same. keep up the good reviews Joe because I'm going to have to get my wife a new car before nothing left but EVs.
For the right driver, the Panamera is a dream machine. Another super sport sedan with similar caché is the Maserati Quadraporte. The Audi doesn't have the mystique of of Porsche, so it's not comparable to me. My choice? Tough call, but... Porsche Panamera
Oddly enough probably majority of people actually like it that fill out all their marketing surveys but the ones that don’t like it are the ones like you and me that are the few but just make the comments on here but it doesn’t make it to the actual marketing
One of my favorite cars. The way it looks the way it drives and the back seats up are amazing, and down gives you a serious amount of room! It' so much more useful than a Carerra or Cayman, and way more cool and sublime looking than the Cayenne or Macan. Def would take it over the Audi, even though I have always dug that car also.
I will have to watch this video couple more times. It is interesting how can Porsche successfully compete with lets say Ferrari by applying different philosophy of design and producing pure simple form. Every panel is beautiful on its own and the result is a timeless symbol of the brand. This vehicle will be missed.
I dunno, I know many Ferrari owners that also owed Porsches, but when someone is in the market for a Ferrari, they don't cross shop with a Porsche or vice versa. Camaro/Mustang, Ferrari/Lamborghini, BMW/Audi, etc....yes, Ferrari/Porsche, no.
The solution to the RS6 and the gloss black is to not option it with the gloss black trim and have it be in matte silver trim, which I prefer over the gloss black.
