I've been looking for a good, inexpensive hammock tarp with door enclosures on the ends, and your video and others finally convinced me for the price point, this is a very well made tarp. It arrived today and I set it up in the backyard, and it was very easy to hang. Can't wait to use it on an overnight camping trip. Thanks for your great review of this.
you are very welcome. it's a solid tarp i had some trips this winter in it and it held up to snow pretty good and no leaks. use shockcord on the side tie puts its amazing
@@JTDOutdoors I can't wait to do an overnight with it and my hammock. Where in Canada are you? I was actually born in Ontario but moved to the U.S. when I was 9 back in 1969. Looks very peaceful where you were camping. We had a summer cottage north of Peterborough on Loon Call Lake. I loved (and miss) the sound of loons.
I love mine! Just recently added shock cord loops to the tie outs that loop over my trekking poles extended over the tarp. This will save you having to carry 4 extra stakes guy lines.
My wife bought one for me for Christmas and I am sold on this rainfly. For one thing, there are loads of ways this can be setup making it one of the most versatile rainflys on the market and the price is very reasonable.
Great video describing the versatility of this tarp. Waiting for mine. Love Onewind products. I have their under and over quilt, plus their 12’ zipper hammock.
You can also use the pulls by throwing your walking sticks on top of the tarp, and looping the pullouts over each end of the sticks. That way it pulls out on all 4 spots with only using two sticks.
Bought my one wind hammock w screen and this tarp and I’ll never buy another brand again You really can’t beat this build quality and durability for the price anywhere. Spent 45 nights in the remote wilderness of the Michigan’s upper peninsula and had all types of weather including very high winds and downpours and never got a drop of water on me
I have yet to try there hammock but the tarp is my go to its impressively waterproof. had it out In a few snow storms and help up to quite the snow load with shock cord on the panel pulls it actually allows the weight of the snow to slide off then springs back into shape its fantastic
This is an awesome tarp as is all of Onewind gear...I have been in their hammock for three years now almost every weekend and I will never own anything else...
Oh ya I got me one of theres 12foot in green I love it. With the twin snake skins. I love it best tarp I have. Price is really good too. Cheers for the vid dude from the the uk.
I've got about 30 nights under this now and it's truly solid. it is sil nylon in heavy rain it sags a bit just need to tighten guy lines before bed which are all om tensioners its really well thought out
discount code in description will save you a few bucks if u decide to purchase. it's a solid tarp I've had no issues and slept under it stress 20 times now
you probably could but you'd never get the doors closed properly. that being said could pitch it in a large rectangle as well I could see it being possible.
honestly i dont know. i have a hammockgear 11 foot hammock ive paired this tarp with. The side panel tie outs once staked turn this tarp into a palace inside lol id be surpsided if it didnt fit but i cant say as ive never used the ridge runner.
@JN photography I think the positivity is form the cost and quality. It is sil nylon so will absorb some water and get some sag. the tensioners make it quick to get tight again no problems and after a few days of rain it does gain some weight lol. Never had a leak issue or anything tho it is solid in that respect. if mine ever ripped or anything I would be purchasing it again 100%
@roughwalkers my go to hammock tarp. been using it for 2+ years now and showing no sign of wear had it out in blistering heat to snowy canadian winters it's a beast
been in some heavy wind and in dumps of snow and rain. it being sil nylon it does absorb some water and sags a bit just gotta re tension your tie outs and your gold.
I want to see a hammock that comes packaged with three small seashells just so we can comment "Snigger, he doesn't know how to use the seashells..." I don't like hardware gadgets either lol.
@@JTDOutdoors I'm going full jungle cord, already have one on my bergens grab handle for hanging that and did one end of my hammock before running out of para lol.

It's amazing!
deffintly my gp to tsrp for camping all year long
@@JTDOutdoors Agree 100%, really great piece of gear
Can one set it up like traditional tarps(independently on the floor?) or it always has to be set up hanging on trees?
you could definitely set it up with trekking poles or sticks away from trees but wouldn't work for hanmock camping if done that way
Do you think it would fit an Amok Draumr without touching sides?
I honestly couldnt tell you a 100% it would but with the panel pulls staked out its a palace inside
@@JTDOutdoors I just purchased one and will report back ;-)

That looks like a great tarp man! Did it come with the shock-cord on the doors as well? Or did you add that?
thanks dude! the shock cord came on the 4 main tie outs and on the doors. Onewind really put some though into this tarp. it's amazing
