I was confused where to use those operators (being similar) but it's clear with this explanation when to use it. Thanks!

Deneb will be amazing once we get used to vega-lite, your explanation is gold dust, thank you for sharing.
Im really struggling with layering and multiple lines/bars.. i know you will guide us to the light! 🤓

Thank you for your very kind comment. I will be creating a video about layering very soon, hopefully that will help. 🙂
There is definitely a learning curve involved, but as you say, very much worth it!

I'm trying to implement this is in a visual with several layers, and can't seem to figure out where to put the facet piece. Perhaps there's a restriction to it I I haven't found yet.

If one needs to dynamically choose the columns ,is it possible to do that with deneb? I have been trying to but it seems away from my reach.

Hi Ben, great video! Quick question - Is it possible in the vega - lite world to create a small multiple visual that is restricted to size of container and the size of the facets will change depending on the number of facets in the visual? Basically I am trying to elevate the need of a scroll bar!

Hi, you can try setting up the size to container ,you may refer height width topic from vega-lite documentation.
