As a kid, I essentially beat the game, made it to the last fight vs Mizar, but during that fight you have to play as Juno... and I played as Lupus in some of Junos planets, and picked up all the homing missiles and other weapon ammo cartridges so I had like no ammo as Juno to kill Mizar. But I picked the game up again when i was a bit older and ended up clearing it, felt so good cause I got to see the end credits!

@@ct2xperience749 It's been an observation of mine since it's release in 2002 that Ratchet and Clank is essentially the evolution of game mechanics and technology of what Jet Force Gemini was. They improved the clunky controls, added a melee weapon, continued weapon wheel variety, added voice acting and cartoon-like cinematics while watering down the gore/violence. The outer space Sci-Fi setting and the coming and goings from world-to-world was reminiscent of the direction of Gemini.
We need a reboot of this game with enhanced graphics with orchestral music with more badass weapons and a space quest to bring Floyd the heroic drone back to life
One thing you didn't know. I lived near rare back I the day and I preordered jet force Gemini from them. These were the days before preorders were a thing. And they sent me the game way before release date in a special black rare box with special rare tape sealing it and a personalized thank you card inside. Also pretty sure it was a limited edition game cart. Iv since tried to get in contact with them regarding this and they have no records from that era now. It sucks they have lost their history after Microsoft took over.
They need to remaster it for the switch. The soundtrack and gameplay are amazing. I played it all over again on the Rare Replay…. RareWare was at its peak during those years
JFG was way too awesome for its time, mind-blowing music, sound effects, weapons, enemies, levels - it just aced every single sections of what makes a game. Even throwing accessible co-op in there with the robot Floyd, a firing range challenge with plenty of levels, a multiplayer with plenty of customization _and_ proto-perks (iirc certain characters retained some of their SP campaign abilities). This is just insane what was crammed inside a N64 game, it should stand beside Zelda OoT imo, it is legendary! And is there any other game that can claim not only a dog with guns as a main playable character, but a dog IN A MINI TANK THAT FLIES as a main playable character?

Jet Force Gemini is way ahead of its time, The Game has great graphics, gameplay, music, story n characters the game also filled the void of Metroid on the Nintendo 64
This games is SO Nice! Deserves a sequel or a remake
A remake of this game would be awesome!
It's a shame that probably will never happen... :(
This game was SOOO good! I never understood why it was one of the more obscure titles. Did it get low sales or what happened, it was a great game.
But I picked the game up again when i was a bit older and ended up clearing it, felt so good cause I got to see the end credits!
this game needs a reboot
This could be Microsoft's answer to Ratchet and Clank. Give the game 4 player co-op, tons of guns and put it on Unreal 4. Instant hit.
DKDRFTA the reboot just came out. it's called 'Recore'
Ratchet & Clank did have a 4-player co-op game. Didn't work, though.
Scrubber89 doubt
Voodoo Vince Remastered is coming out next year for the Xbox One.
I miss the old Rare!
Just randomly thought about this gem.. this was such a wholesom mini-doc
This needs a sequel with minor graphics added. Love how all the colors and map design were designed for this game.
I'd LOVE to check this out on Rare Replay. If Rare Replay was available on Windows 10, that is.
Thanks for paving the way for Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank.
I’m so in love with the cute more early cartooney models. Hope a mod comes out one day
OMG please make a remastered version or better a sequel absolutely loved this game growing up ..... not to get to personal but I didn't grow up with a lot of money so this was the only game we had and I played the hell out of it never was able to pass it but man I would just replay it over and over again
Well you were late by the moment you posted this comment there is already a remastered versión called "Rare Replay", which has many 64 games games remastered and fitted with better controls for the xbobx one, and for only 30$ at the moment it got released, now you can find it way cheaper.
Would be amazing to see a new jet force Gemini now with all the tech available currently at their full disposure.
JFG was one of the best N64 games ever made. I would throw money at a remake for modern systems.
The golden era of video games. When video games meant ART and not BUSINESS $ ...
Utheree still were high prices but you get the full experience, not the DLC bs of today
I’m this age of reboots and revivals, *THIS GAME DESERVES A REVIVAL!*
One of THE BEST n64 games by far. I still play this on my emulator and my actual n64 game consolr
There wouldn't be a Ratchet & Clank without Jet Force Gemini.
Where did you hear that?
@@ct2xperience749 It's been an observation of mine since it's release in 2002 that Ratchet and Clank is essentially the evolution of game mechanics and technology of what Jet Force Gemini was.
They improved the clunky controls, added a melee weapon, continued weapon wheel variety, added voice acting and cartoon-like cinematics while watering down the gore/violence.
The outer space Sci-Fi setting and the coming and goings from world-to-world was reminiscent of the direction of Gemini.
Also isn't the JFG theme just a remix of the end credit theme for the SNES version of Killer Instinct. Albeit a LOT more grand.
Top 10 All Time game for me
We need a reboot of this game
with enhanced graphics
with orchestral music
with more badass weapons
and a space quest to bring Floyd the heroic drone back to life
Hi Rare. Can we have a brand new Blast Corps for current consoles? Thanks in advance.
Currently a bit busy but thumbs up for asking nicely with no swearing or anything.
This game deserves a remake with decente camera control and super graphics
I really enjoyed this game. Hope this gets a reboot one day.
Master piece!!!
I remember bonding with my swim teacher because he played this game on PC. I played it on N64.
This game was my first videogame and was what got me into gameing.
I know you folks have it in you to remake this masterpiece.
Seeing abandoned spacestation not abandoned... daaaaaaaaaamn.
Playing it right now
"Mario with guns, which sounds stupid"
Ubisoft in 2017: Yeah, about that...
I have faith that you guys will remake this game one day. I will gladly buy an xbox just for it!
plz remaster
I still have this game on n64, but I never finished it. Looks like I have some work to do. lol
Markell Hawthorne its a pain,
They need to remaster it for the switch. The soundtrack and gameplay are amazing. I played it all over again on the Rare Replay…. RareWare was at its peak during those years
The original version is going to launch on the Switch Online Expansion Pack at the end of this month
Best game of those days!
best game ever ! i wish a remaster release in this years of amazing effects ill be such a succes !
I miss this game! Vela was my first crush!
