Kameo was my first 360 game. Been wanting a sequel forever. I know Kameo 2 was pitched and never happened but I hope Phil gives it the green light. This sequel needs to happen.
It's a shame this game doesn't get more credit. It's easily my favorite Rare game on the 360 by a huge margin, as well as one of my favorite Xbox 360 exclusives in general.
Rare Ltd make a sequel or at least reveal the story and fans could make comics or I don’t care if It didn’t sell well make or do something with the story at least please please please
This game is so nostalgic... was probably my favourite 360 game, Rare did an incredible job with it ✨ Everything about it was so magical and enchanting, and gosh the soundtrack was superb 💖 Still salty the sequel was cancelled by MS, but who knows maybe one day someone will be able to pick up the torch, or at least remake the first one
+First Second There actually WAS going to be a Kameo 2, but it was scrapped in the end. I'm pretty sure there's a video about it hidden within Rare Replay though...

I too feel this game was a huge gem during the day & still is impressive on many levels. Most of my family members have played it & It is easily one of the best games of all time for us. Much praise to the developers & I wish it had more recognition and I hope for a sequel too!!!
This was by far one of Rare's shining milestones on the 360. Personally, I rate it #2 on my list of favorite Rare Xbox games, losing only to Nuts & Bolts. I don't have an Xbox One, so I'm glad that Rare's making it possible for people like me to view these little fun-fact videos!
People watching this video have no idea how much lore is in this game, mainly because it was put on the official Kameo website (now redirects to Rare's website), the journals which describe events leading up to the game, the podcasts and the manga, as well as snippets from reading the Warrior's history in the Wotnot (from pausing the menu) I sincerely believe if this game was remade with all this lore included, it would rival Mario, Sonic and Zelda in popularity. All of this canon content was gathered and put together in a fan made discord server specifically for Kameo: Elements Of Power for fans (both new and old) to read and if you're reading this Rare, you are incredibly welcome to come join too: discord.gg/VsN9B6W Kameo is an underrated game with incredible potential, please do not let it go to waste. While I am working on my own indie title now, I would be 100% open to creating a fan made remake of the game or sequel afterwards. I point out the lore because 11:12 seems incredibly harsh after reading both Kameo and Kalus' journals, which seems to hint that Kalus was emotionally neglected and possibly physically abused by Theena and Kameo was aware of it. (seriously those Journals are really important to the lore and I wish that this content had been added to the game)

If MS wanted to take a risk, they could boot this IP up and rework it in to their own "zelda" or "gravity rush" type of game. It certainly has the asthetics and lead for it.
A few years ago I played a development version of the game for the Original Xbox and was surprised at how closely it resembled the final Xbox 360 build, considering the amount of graphical detail that was in the final game. It's an amazing game and was definitely worth the wait from when I first heard about it in 2001. Thanks, Rare!
Rare Replay was my 1st Xbox One game, and also my favorite Xbox One game, most of those games were new to me, Kameo is in my top 5 favorites list, that game was completely new to me, and it looks like something I would have played in my childhood, you do a great job with most of your games rare, also, I have one request for Rare Replay.

Now upgraded graphics in the same style of Kameo 1? OH YEAH! That I would be furious about if they had cancelled it :(. +DehnusNorder I saw the concept art design stuff from the rare replay video. To be fair it looked extremely early in development and concepts change drastically as the game develops. Destiny was originally going to be a fantasy RPG with swords and shields like skyrim but that of course changed. But yes it probably would have sold bad which is the bottom line as a AAA title. Happy to see somewhat of a resurgence with yooka laylee giving a potential future for adventure/plat forming games.

I was 4 years old when this game came out. Somehow I have a very vague memory of lil kid me bouncing on the bed with my dad in excitement as he showed me this magazine he got that announced this game's release. He knew I'd love it. Obviously when I first played, I had no idea what I was doing, but I still enjoyed it so much. I played what I could and when I got stumped, I'd ask my dad to play for me lol. I'm 20 years old now. I have my own copy and still long for a sequel. This was my very first video game, and it will always hold a special place in my heart.
This game is LITERALLY my childhood I LOVED IT. It has a special place in my heart,I still have the original disk. After 18 years I still play it from time Good memories..🧚
I love Kameo. I'd really hoped that Kameo would get a remake treatment. I wanted to see it run at native 1080p@60fps on Xbox One. It was disappointing that Grabbed by the Ghoulies was ported with love and Kameo got cheap emulation.
+Jingleboy14 Definitely play it someday! It's the closest rare got to its "roots" I'd say in a long time. I will admit my bias though, I wouldn't be a gamer if it weren't for this game. Check out Viva Pinata too, it's an odd recommendation, I know. But if you like simulation games you would probably love that one. It's beautifully complex in the sequel.
I really enjoyed Kameo back in the day and I've gone back to it a few times over the years. I still think the whole transforming into different monsters and battling hordes of literally hundreds of enemies that this game did back in 2005 still hasn't been done enough in games since as they're both really fun gameplay mechanics.
It's really a shame Rare is a husk of it's former self these days. I think this was actually the first game I got on 360, and it STILL looks amazing to this day. Great animations, too.

So 6 years late to the party, but i really love this game, don't have an xbox right now, but i really wish there would be a pc port of the rare replay collection, such beautiful games need to be played by everyone, with gamepass they will get the attention they deserve on the platform
I have watched this and the concept footage and pitch for Kameo 2 over and over again. One of my favorite games from the launch of the Xbox 360. In fact one of the all time under appreciated games out there. I'm just baffled that the planned sequel to Kameo 2 never got green lit, from the 3:53 minute clip I watched I was sold on the game. It feels like a sad slap in the face to fans of the original game that we may never get to see a Kameo 2, such a waste of an amazing concept

It does suck that Conker's Other Bad Fur Day was cancelled, but it is cool that this game and Goulies came to Xbox.
