There is a couple of reasons why I love your style of filmmaking: 1) Pace - every shot is there for a reason, even the longer one without you in the frame, but with just a proper enviro, light, and props. 2) Way of thinking - there is a lot of creative filmmakers, but you are a little bit higher because of the vibe, grainy and stylized footage that isn't popular now i guess - we live in the SHARP ERA and I really like your blurry mood. 3) Personality - in every part of your work I can see soul and that is beautiful! Love to see passion in every way of your communication! Take care, create and live your best life! Greetings from Poland - Dave
I have to agree with all the points from Dave. I really enjoy the pacing you're using for your filmmaking. Too many people want to rush with unmotivated camera movement and quick cuts, professional and amateur. Unfortunately, that has become the current norm we see all too often. I'm glad to see you pushing back from that trend to present a more thoughtful story.
I really really appreciate that! It’s so refreshing when the work put into these videos are taken exactly how they were planned to be. Appreciate you taking the time out to appreciate and see my videos for what they’re for. Thank you so much I’m really grateful for that
@@vuhlandes It is pretty big inspiration for my personal growth and also filmmaking journey - maybe We will have an opportunity to talk about it in person! Peace and love! 🙌
My man’s spoke all the truth love coming here and realizing if I want some really cool images in a small body to be more low key film equipment is the way to go
Love the fact that you’ve been using vintage lenses for your videos. When I started using my vintage glass on my Sony APS-C camera I felt like I opened a door to new creative possibilities. It’s beautiful how many things are possible with the camera equipment we have at our disposal. Definitely something to play around with if you’re on a budget!
Thank you for continuously inspiring me to create and explore my own style in filmmaking. I found your channel the other day and was excited because I don't see many other black men doing this on youtube. Your love for the vintage look is one I share wholeheartedly. Even as an 04' kid, I share that same nostalgia because I grew up watching old films and shows with my auntie when I had to stay at my grandma's house. I have been showing my girlfriend all of your videos while geeking out because they have been a reminder of why I signed up to do this for the rest of my life. Even if I don't get the camera, I still have to thank you for the inspiration and confidence I have gained from watching your videos. All love from Tennessee brodie.
It's so refreshing to see videos and photos that actually tell a story, rather than just talking about gear and showing boring photos to prove a point about sharpness or other technical aspects. Love to see it!
You are the reason why I started filmmaking. Your creative way of thinking and contributing this to the videos are very unique. Greetings from Germany.
Love your work and how you don’t care about the strict “dos and don’ts” just express yourself the way you see is authentic and original to what you feel. God bless you
As a lover of vintage Fuji cameras this hit home for me. The pace of the video was perfect for allowing the visuals to sink in and to vibe out. Keep doing what you do Vuh, it continues to be an inspiration!
Thank you for being an inspiration over the years- I recently got an old Russian Helios 44-2 lens for my Sony alpha a6000 for the wild distorted bokeh effect- I love to see you use vintage lenses bro I’ve been waiting for this content. Not sure if anyone’s mentioned it but KEH is a great source for cheap vintage lenses if anyone’s in the $10-50 budget range like me lol Also Vuh pleeease get a vintage Helios lens and shoot some video with it, I really wanna see what you can do with a weird lens like that. Anyways, appreciate the art as always - much love
This is so crazy but I just stumbled upon your channel and I've been going down the rabbit hole for about an hour now. The amount of inspiration is unheard of. I make music and have been experimenting with shooting my own cinematography to promote my craft and build a community. It's safe to say this is my new home.
This cinematography and graiding was stunning. I love these lenses! Just bought a Tokina 17mm for the md mount and it is amazing as well. And you can get amazing film fotos with them too.
Started my film camera journey last week and I feel like everyday I’m learning something new and discovering new creators. I found you 5 minutes ago and I already love your style of filmmaking.
The emotion in every shot is crazy, Inspired me to start making my first short film. Entering this world is exciting af ! thankful to have found ur channel fam 🙏🏽
Seeing how far you've come and the amount of work that has gone into every video really stands out. Always looking forward to your videos and the next story in your channel vuh. Keeping telling your story, we're watching.
Only you could make the act of making tea look so beautiful, I hope you know how much your videos are inspiring for newbies like me! Lots of love from Italy x
YOO Vuh, watching your chanel grow and seeing how you changed up your vlog style and how good you got at it is so cool. big inspiration, love the intros, keep it up! painfully underrated
you are my favorite comfort youtuber, you inspire in so many ways, i just got a sony A7III and excited to learn more about videography with it, i have used a Sony a6000 and a Fuji XT200 as my old cameras, and got a well needed upgrade, trying out film on that minolta would be sick. at the moment i just use point and shoots but im having a blast
Love old funky lenses. For the longest time I had a collection of 1960s era Nikon glass. Needed money so had to sell them :( Oh well, time to try something else. That's the great thing about shooting Sony, almost any lens ever made by anybody can be adapted. Keep doing what you do, we love it.
The scene with you holding the Mino sharp in focus and the DOP on you is 👌🏼👌🏼.. story telling at its best! Love the inceptions of hyper-fast cuts in between! Leaves you intrigued and wanting more 👏🏼👏🏼 bravo!!
First found out about you through baby smoove but as I’ve grown to fall in love with photography (especially film). It’s really inspiring seeing what you do and how far you’ve came along. Keep doing what your doing bro!
I’m so thankful to see melanated filmmakers giving game on TH-cam! It’s time we continue to show how we’re the backbone of a lot of these creative industries 🤲🏾✨
Knowing that your office video was filmed with vintage glass speaks volumes about how much more important everything else is in cinematography. Great video as always 🙏🏽 Love from Vegas
Thank you bro for actually doing a good showcase on a vintage lens. So many videos where the majority of the footage is them just talking about it while filming themselves with some sony alpha something or another.
the vibes and aesthetics in your videos are always immaculate and have inspired me to pursue photography and filmmaking more since I found your channel a couple of weeks ago.
🔥🔥🔥🔥!!!! the amount of effort you put into your work is truly inspiring. i just recently picked up the Helios 44-2 58mm! I’m working on my first web series & wanted go for a more vintage/less sharp look. It was my first lens purchase & I’ll definitely be looking to get a few more vintage ones in the future!
I post a lot of analog photography and CCD sensor photography. But I never make video content for it (bts stuff, tutorials, just aesthetically pleasing content etc.). Considering I always loved the look of my (cheap) old analog cameras and the price of new lenses, I'll def try to find a vintage lens to shoot content on, thanks for the recommendation vuh. Keep creating!
Love the ratio of the video, and the look. Recently I started to use a midi dv camera and I enjoy a lot the 4:3 and the look.

I'm digging your content lately man! Also I've seen a few other TH-camrs copying your aspect ratio so it can only mean you're doing a great job at what you're doing! Loved the vid(mood and colors)
Your videos have been looking amazing and they've been super entertaining. Loving the direction you're going in on both of your channels. Also siqq suit my guy!
Your videos have been inspiring me more and more and I’m currently traveling through Mexico and I’ve been inspired by everything I’ve seen but a camera is what has been missing to take photos and videos of my pov of here. I’ve been currently looking for a camera but when you’re on a budget it’s difficult to find one that suits me. Keep up the good work, it’s been very inspirational to me so thank you for that 🙏
Vuh, I hope you’re doing good man and I love the art that you produce. You have a beautiful way of thinking and expressing yourself, whether that be through photography, conversation, or tea. You make the world a brighter, happier place
This was incredible! I love how purposeful everything is. I especially love the contrast between the red coat and the blue and white background! Your work is always so inspiring 💚
Love your work, man. I hadn’t realized until watching your video on aspect ratio and then this video, that I hadn’t watched your channel full screen on my iPad ever. Your 4:3 videos fill the screen perfectly since all iPads are also 4:3. Anyway, subbed other channel, because I love your aesthetic.
For the past couple of weeks I've been debating whether or not I should get a vintage or modern lens. This video amongst other things has guided me towards vintage.
Just recently found your account during my photography class , your tips and videos have helped me get through my work and assignments, which now comes out better and improved thanks
I really love these type of videos, quality cinematography with some really useful filmmaking tips. I love your passion for filmmaking, keep it up man. Big things are headed your way :)
Detroit is such a beautiful place. Each part of Detroit has so much history and a story to tell. Thank you for putting all your time and effort in videos Vuh ❤️🙏🏾
It's really cool how such cheap lenses can have such a nice image. This is exactly what filmmaking is about, not expensive lensen but the characteristics of it
Man I love Vintage, I recently spent all my savings on a camera and absolutely fell in love with vintage photography and videography. My very first Vintage lens comes in Wednesday! Minolta MD Rokker 50mm 1.7... CAN'T WAIT! Thank you Vuhlandes for the inspiration :)
Coming to your page really inspired me soooo much!!!! I like really realized how much I really love film and how much of an art form it really is, thats why I'm a big fan of quentin tarantino movies and who ever filmed Netflix's Marilyn Monroe movie. Love your channel and thanks going to go buy another camera instead of funding my priorities!
That is Such a beautiful Camera with a lovely lense, That camera is also a great Intro to Film photography ! Thanks for being a great Insperation Vuhlandes !!!
The use of great older lenses on new sensors is genius. I fully intend on following suit because camera gear really is hella expensive 😅 and this is a perfectly creative solution. 👌🏾 love it Vuh
Whattt?? This is such a creative way to get an authentic filmy/vintage look. Brb gonna go see how I can do this with a Canon camera. Thanks Vuh! 🏃🏾♀️💨

Just got laid off from my job for the first time ever. This video definitely inspires me to commit more towards cinematography and photography! I really appreciate the time effort and knowledge you put into your videos. Keep up the good work and stay blessed bro!💪🏾🙏🏾💯🔥
That's funny, you start right out that you were vibing the Tarantino flick hard and then with such inexpensive gear, totally replicate his classic signature look that probably took millions in camera gear/editing to produce... Bravo Dude, this is awesome stuff!
