But due to the video, I started playing around and was able to get my Vita to work on the Quest 3 which felt like a win and wanted to give you my thanks for sparking my interest on playing games through the Quest with the web cam app.

Maybe with paid version of USB Camera, I don't have any Android device with Google services to check it. Probably you want it for something else than Switch, because Switch is 60 fps max, and often less than 30. However you will also need different capture card, and because PD port is very unique on these devices, also PD USB hub will be needed for charging headset at the same time.

Hi! great content! thank you for the tips. I've actually bought the Hagibis capture UHC07P and the USB to HDMI adapter model SWC10, as you mentioned here. My only difference is that I'm using meta HDMI link. When I connect to the Nintendo switch, it ask the permissions, it shows the proper information on the lower part of the screen, but no audio and black image. you've mentioned on the other video I commented about HDCP, but I'm not sure where do I find that. Also, on the Meta HDMI link app, there is no place to change any settings (that I could find). Am I missing something?

It's just easier now for new users. Developer's account is not needed anymore, and app can be downloaded from official Meta Store, and not side loaded like USB Camera.

I got it to work the first day with passthrough charging but now no matter what order I hook it up in whenever I plug in a passthrough charging source my quest cannot connect and it keeps looping and won't detect the HDMI source. Did I short something out by hooking it up in the wrong order or something? Someone please help
@@Thomas_Voland @Thomas_Voland no I'm connecting it to my PC I was using it as a monitor and connected the USBc to a USBc extension, to the quest 3, then I plug in the HDMI cable from my PC, and then a USBc on a charger to give a passthrough charge and it just turns the HDMI on and off and trips out when I try to plug in the passthrough charging. But it was working fine yesterday

@@Thomas_Voland like the device has latency. Every tv and monitor has latency. The delay from pushing a button to seeing something happen on screen. So playing something with precise timing would be very hard to do with high latency

I tired to get this to work but when I click on devices to allow hagbis to always use usb camera it seems to not same my setting. Can’t get the video of my switch to show. Anyone else have this problem?
Actually got it to work. Had to supply power to the USB HDMI capture card and to the HDMI cable to the switch. Video showed up immediately. So rule of thumb is to provide power to the usb capture card as well as plug the power into the card once card is already on the quest 2/3.

I don't think that anyone is looking at TV being in Airplane, during long car trip etc. And probably most people don't have 150" TV. I have only 100" projector screen so I have to seat 2m from it to have big screen, when on Quest I can seat anywhere in the room.
It allows you to play video games when you wouldn't normally be able to play video games. Someones using the tv, people sleeping, on a plane, bus, etc. Comprehension isnt your strong suit..

Also the dongle from the hdmi coming from my ps5 is max 50fps not 60… I think AliExpress was lying I can get 60fps in 720p
