I shaved my hair off 2 years ago after my Auntie Finny was diagnosed with cancer and started chemotherapy. I did this to support her and show her different ways to style hair as it grows out. 6 months later she was cancer free but it quickly came back. Around that time my grandma was also re-diagnosed with breast cancer. It’s been a crappy situation to think about, but both my auntie and grandma are the most positive and happy people I know that always make the best out of every situation which is exactly what they’re doing now. As they continue this fight, I continue to pray and I ask all my fellow prayer warriors to do the same if you can. Thank you! 🙏❤️✨

Moreover it's not always great, because every type of hair is growing fast. Even on areas where you want to be hairless as long as possible. It's not alway a blessing
@@alihener3065 I use an IPL hair remover device where I don’t want hair to grow as fast. Works great if you’ve got dark hair!
I cut my hair the same time as her apparently and she has a good 2 inches on me.
She has such a cute face that she can rock any of the styles!

Yes! So glad I found this I'm at the 3rd month mark and wanted to buzz it all again because it's too long to just sit but kinks out everywhere 😆 So good to see a video with the transitions keeping it all, not cutting it up to short bobs.

@@retuo1425 you just need to find what haircut suits you the best and stick with it, I personally have a long oval face and I found out layered hair looks better with me

I'm on 1 year and 2 months hair growth. Jack Jacks videos makes me feel like were in the hair growth journey together! I started watching her videos before I even shaved my head and I watched them through every month/stage of my hair growth. Cant wait for my year 2 hair growth mark!! :) 10 months to go! Your dark hair looks so amazing! I love it. Can't believe it's two years already, your hair grew back fast! For me I just passed one year since Ive lost all my hair from chemo for breast cancer. It's been fun looking at how I look with different hair lengths, like when I was bald; when I had a short mullet, and when it was just a lil oily, it looked like Darth Vaders helmet. Now I have a long mullet like they had in the 80s like Chrissie Hynde.

Hello there! Question, have you cut or trimmed it since it started growing out? I havent trimmed it I'm curious to just let it grow and see what it does and I'm well on my way to a mullet lol
@@nla5307 Hi there. I have a trimmed maybe 1cm off when we were in locldown here in Melbourne Australia because I had a lot of rats tails & I want to encourage growth.
If you dont get it trimmed or cut you'll definitely have a mullet. When the bottom hairs reached shouldee length my mullet was in the shape of Darth Vaders helmet lol. It was getting annoyingt
that point coz the hair curled up so thats when I started straightening it.
Atm, the length has passed my shoulder & can straighten itself but I wont cut it yet till the top layer grows out more, close to shoulder length first. I dont want to go back to short hair yet.
I'm planning to shave my head when I leave school so that it's just a clean slate for me after four years and I get to enter a new stage of my life. So excited to see how it goes. At first I was a little nervous on if I could pull off the awkward stages of growth but your hair was styled so fun and so amazing throughout that I just can't wait to try it all out

I shaved my head in December of 2020 and I come back to this video every now and then to help me through the awkward phases. It's almost been a full year and it's grown a lot, but I did trim the back a few months ago to help it grow in less mullet-y. I can't wait until I can pull it back in a ponytail!
As someone in the salon industry for 30 yrs, I’ve never known anyone able to pull off no hair to long hair & everything in between like this. Wow!

I went through this process 3 years ago I had chest length dreadlocks (orange and red!) and shaved them off publicly in Torquay town centre... I noticed you were quite emotional at the beginning... I lost my identity for a little while and felt very exposed then it grew out (not as fast as yours!) then I re-dreaded it in September last year and added extensions.. much happier now. It’s a very important process for a woman finding herself. You look amazing, happy for you x

I shaved my head back in December 2019 so I’ve just reached the year mark & since my shave I watched your videos every single month to compare growth. You’re the only person I could find who documented the process so thoroughly from month to month and it really helped me going through the same ups and downs of regrowth. You’re hair looks amazing 👸🏻

I shaved my head the summer of 2020. If been trying to grow it out . Finally, after a series of many sub par trims, and hairdressers that didn’t know what they were doing, my hair is only past my ears, but closer to my chin. I use a grow serum daily, fenugreek seed homemade spray and hair growth shampoo. I feel like it’s taking FOREVER. And tips? I now have a stylist that knows what she’s doing, so here’s hoping!

I’m on my sixth month of having shaved my head! shaving my head has really helped me become more confident in my looks. unfortunately my hair was bleached and permed so I was unable to donate it but im so excited to get healthy hair that i can donate in a couple years!
I really want to bleach and perm my hair to look like Stevie nicks in the 80s. Would you recommend it? Did it fry your hair? Did you bleach or perm first? :)
@@dontlikemycomment5065 it ruined my hair. Bleach dried it out and then the perm just ruined it. A perm can only do so much for straight hair you won’t get beautiful big curls haha i learned that the hard way! I would not bleach or perm it just buy a nice wig and do stuff to that. :) hope that helps and good luck on your hair journey

When i shaved mine, the ugliness was so unbearable that I couldn’t help it and shaved it again :’( Try to go through these awkward stages gracefully and DONT shave it again because you’ll regret it.

I needed to see this, because I've been growing my hair out for the past three years after shaving most of my hair off.
Over the last week I chopped a lot of my hair off and then dyed the rest yellow. It didn't really turn out how I had wanted, and I've been freaking out about having to grow all of my hair back out again.
I know my hair won't grow back as fast as in this video, but I can see now that's it's just hair and it will grow back. It's not the end of the world. ♡

I bleached my hair platinum blonde in march lockdown and I loved it, it just kept falling out! So I cut it all off (shaved the sides, leaving some blonde on the top that I've now cut off) at the beginning of October. I'm between your Feb/March pics here and can't wait for it to be LONG again!
i cut my hair on december 2019 on my shoulders and it didn't even grow to your lenght im so pissed off to myself lol
Maybe it's damaged or breaking off. Maybe start a healthy hair regimen. Or u have vitamin deficiency like iron deficiency. Or thyroid problems.
@@mousepumpkin7564 i tried everything man it just doesn't grow out im so sad. i didn't try any treatment but i put oils and masks time to time. i don't think anything bad happens in my body tho!

So beautiful thank you for making this. I had to completely shave my hair off. The hardest part wasn’t my own opinions of it but having to hear others. For some reason ppl feel the need to give me their thoughts on my new haircut and that it’ll grow. As if the shaved hair look can’t be beautiful on its own. This really helped calm my anxiety while thinking of the growing out process.
