    Still got sigma 18/35 zoom lens in my kit.. Love wide angle focal length because it keeps things in focus when moving handheld.

    Great video! I have owned an URSA 12k for about a year and I find myself using my meike cine 35mm most. It seems to be the most versatile lens in my kit, and I love the bokeh + it has a more natural look for peoples faces than my wider lenses. I tried to get into the sigma 18-35, but there just wasn't any character to that lens that made me excited to use it and I ended up selling it to buy another meike cine lens. (Just wanted to share my experience with that lens for anyone considering buying that vs cine primes) If I could only use one focal length on my URSA it would probably be 35mm, but like you, I find myself reaching for my wider lens (25mm) a lot as well!

    i scrambled a set of leica r lenses (15/19/28/50/90) and a bm6kpro together because ive been diging your work/style so much. after half a year, i only shoot with one lens now. its the 15/3.5. im a sucker for wide angle and its just amazing to look at the image its producing. especially with faces and shaky handheld. i get bored by all the other focal lengths these days! the 19 is cool, but too tight on the 6k imo. thank you for sharing you work - inspired me to pic up video again ♥

Could you either do a video about that or just add distance from subject in some of your shot descriptions?

  • @00anta
    @00anta ปีที่แล้ว

    The 90 and the 50mm summicrons are very different lenses. The 1st gen 50 is easily the wild child of the Leica R system and the lens with the most character out of them. It even has quite pronounced swirly bokeh up to about 1m. Wide open it is also very painterly, especially in out of focus areas. The 90mm is really tuned for faces and portraits. It performs very differently when focusing close and when focusing near infinity. It has a lot of microcontrast and 3D pop and is really, really flattering to the human face. That's what it's made for, really. So I personally wouldn't say they can be used interchangeably based on equivalent focal length. Also, at 3-4k a piece, the 19mm is a bit hard to recommend to people who are just satarting out...on full frame, the field of view is very wide and requires quite a different mindset for composition. So I think people should pass it up and see if they like extreme wide angles before forking out all this money.

    What Canon FD focal ranges would you recommend on the pocket 4K?

    • @djmx9237
      @djmx9237 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He just discussed that in this video. The pocket 4k has a X2 crop factor (X1.9 to be exact). so a 28mm fd lens will be a 53mm and q 50 will be a 95mm. But if you get a speedbooster, the 28 can be a 36mm and the 50 a 67mm. So i'd say you should get the 50mm for sure and if you have a speedbooster the 28mm cause of cost/value but if you have the money and way of finding them you get wider FD lenses. I'd also reccomend the Canon FD 70-210mm.

    • @matteobertoli
      @matteobertoli  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depends if you are using a speedbooster. Unfortunately there isn’t a very good wide angle lens for the FD. I think Nikkor are a much better option!
