If their listening with speakers its actually very hard to hear Floors growls. I've listened to this song multiple times with speakers and headphones. Almost impossible to hear the growls with speakers. but easy with headphones

It's the same people who ask if she's singing the opening to The Poet and the Pendulum when it's obviously a boy soprano. I suspect those of us with good pitch and tone can pick it out easier.
She's Dutch. She speaks Dutch, German, English, Swedish and passable Finnish. She's also done songs in other languages but I believe she learned them phonetically and didn't actually learn the languages.

Red cap guy has so much hits and misses on his notions. Some are well on point and some just hits air. Floor does growl all choruses thrueout this song. Mr. Glasses were observant here. I recommend you guys getting proper headphones and stop guessing thrue your (evidently) lower quality speakers. :) Other than that, keep on rocking. ^^
Not low quality at all, we just can turn it up where I live. I don't wanna be rude. But I do agree, we need some good headphones so we can truly hear everything.

When I first heard this song, I didn't know Floor could growl, but it only took one chorus to know it wasn't him. Marko is singing clean all the way through the chorus. All of the growls are coming from her. I'm amazed that so many reactors miss this. I think they're just conditioned not to believe that a woman can sound like that (Tatiana anyone?) so their brain goes auto-default to "Marko growling". BTW, she sneaks in little growls along the way in some songs. In Ghost River there are two brief growls - the amazing thing, she goes from clear singing to growling on a single breath.
@@PeaceweaponPT I think the volume issue is more the mix than her volume. She is often singing backing for Marko and it's obvious her mic is cut back in the mix in those occasions.
@@PeaceweaponPT I wouldn't assume that the level we hear in this chorus is her max. Nightwish regularly plays/sings to the requirements of the song. Also, pay attention to the end of the chorus as she ramps up the volume of the growl. When Marko is lead, her volume is down. When they harmonize, they're about equal in volume. When Floor leads, she sings much louder than Marko, to the point sometimes she almost drowns him out. I can't say for sure whether this is the singers' adjustments the sound engineer adjusting, or a bit of both. I don't know if this is fact or conjecture, but Floor is supposed to be able to produce up to 100-110 dB. Marko is on record as saying that for once he does not ever have to worry about overpowering the voice of the female lead. I repeat, don't assume that this represents her maximum growling volume.

Since you're quite new to Nightwish, this is a perfect time to share what Steve Harris, the founder, principal composer & bassist/keyboardist of the world's all time greatest metal band IRON MAIDEN said about Tuomas Holopainen & Nightwish with Anette (their singer before Floor until 2012) in 2015 before he had heard their latest album "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" with Floor on vocals. Steve Harris: “When I heard [2007’s] Dark Passion Play, I couldn’t believe it. I thought, ‘Now, this is a proper fucking album.’ It’s got everything bar the kitchen sink in there. You think Marko is growling, but listen carefully Marko's voice is going up with his voice ad the end of the song, while Floor voice go's dawn with a growl. A lot of people think that Marko voice go's dawn because they aspected.
