I think your Taylor Swift videos do so well because 1) she’s a massive star 2) not many people speak about her and her skill with the level of respect you do. And overall your ability to break down these songs by hear is just awesome. I am a swiftie and a beginner of guitar. Your tutorial explanations are very kind so I can understand easily. I'm sure you have a ton of requests to catch up on, but I would love to see a breakdown of a Morgan Wade acoustic song. "Stay" would be my first choice but she multiple songs with just her and her guitar. Thanks you either way!
Every single time you verbelize those strumming patterns "down up down up down up down up down" my brain immediately goes "funk you up uptown funk you up say whaaaat"
hey man, can you please react to taylor's song Haunted and/or The Story of Us? those two songs in my opinion are some of the extreme cases in her discography in terms of genre, because Haunted is kinda peering towards hard-rock (i guess), and The Story of Us is straight up pop-punk.. since you've listened to folklore, evermore and some of her pop stuff, i'd love to hear your thoughts on those two songs!
If I can ask a question. What situation does a player have when their fingers are more down on the neck of the guitar playing the chords? Seems like most people stay up higher on the neck of the guitar when playing the chords.
Just different inversions and chord positions, Richard. The closer you are to the body of the guitar, the higher the chords will sound, simply speaking. There's many ways to play the same chord up and down the fretboard
