The "World's Greatest Dad" part cuts me twice. Not only is there the sexism of "woman has to care for the child and the guy can just show up", but there's the fact that so few dads actually show up that it is genuinely refreshing to see a dad who cares a little.
I had to hold back a tear out of bitterness because my dad never just showed up for 15 minutes to receive his Father of the Year award.

This Boomer had never heard anything by Taylor Swift, so I poked around youtube. Long story short, I wanted to hear her "unolugged" and her Tiny Desk Concert got me hear. Wow. Now I understand the buzz. She's the real deal.
The main thing that stood out to me was when Taylor showed how men get praised for doing the bare minimum as a father whereas women aren't praised as much as men for doing the same exact thing.
I think they are praised more when they do stuff because most of the time they work as well. You have far more women stay home with kids than men, which is a valid choice, no issues here. I think if it was a single working mother she’d be praised the a lot more
