Thankyou so much 🙏❤ this is the BEST before and after video I've seen. Hard to comprehend when you live here and recognize all the pictures. On a positive note the Councils have been too busy wasting our rates on vanity projects so now they're FORCED to replace bridges roads and other infrastructure theyve ignored for so long.

Thank you so much for this collage Shellz....what a shocking event this was, and the clean-up will take a long time. I used to live in a flood zone and after 7 floods in 2 years, (and the stench left behind was overwhelming)...some minor...I'd had enough. We expats are so thankful to all of you who put things like this together as we really have no real idea what you are all going through.
Bless you all, and just know that we do think of you all even after 5 weeks.

Awesome job of putting this altogether ❤
Pics roll to quick for me to process. Think if I watched it all the way could feel quite depressed 😔.
Just traumatic for all those involved 😢

After Bola the land looked just like this, They turned all the Slip country into Pine but the Pines have their Tap Root Cut in the nursery so they don't Hold Land. - Observe the slip shapes now and look around at the last big slips like Bola, the land with the same shapes, this time it took out a lot of Logging Slash & bridges infrastructure and sent Real Land going Out to Sea so the choice to plant Pine was The Wrong Choice.

and here i thought being trapped at home on a flooded street, with no power and no cell service for 6 days not being able to go to town because of rivers. i had no idea how bad it was until the following Wednesday when word got out. all day Wednesday until that Sunday all would hear was police sirens screaming up the road to Napier every 5 minutes had my boss not cancelled work for the day at 3am i wouldn't have known my street was under. some how i slept right through the bad weather happing that night.

When the video started I thought my phone was ringing but I realised that it was just music.
