I agree with Trott. Strip away the cultural significance of Black Panther and you get a solidly entertaining but very average action film. It's just outside my top 5 film Marvel films for me

It isn’t supposed to be a huge statement or anything it’s simply a good movie that does justice to African culture
I love Zulu, but it only highlights a tiny part of African culture in the Zulu and even less on the Boers, it focuses mainly on the conditions for the British soldiers. Africa is a massive continent with many complex and unique cultures and it's difficult for any movie to cover a wide area..

I agree wholeheartedly with Trott on his Black Panther review! That was exactly the way I thought about it after exiting the cinema. Great that it exists, sets up the character better for Infinity War as well, but the flow of the story was pretty generic.
I love the idea of major political arguments about video games being about arguing whether video games are causing more time based rom-coms rather than their relation to violence.

Black Panther wasn't a perfect film by any means, but I do think its the best Marvel movie in a couple of years, and based on the way that the Boiks have talked about Marvel in the past, I'm surprised trott didn't think it was better than most marvel movies. On a purely seperhero-y action movie basis, it was fun, lighter than most, well edited, and well explained. All those traits should, at the very least, be welcome with open arms going forward and incorporated to as many new marvel movies as possible.
For Black Panther, I honestly love it. I know it's not the best film, but it's great. I enjoyed most of the action (and I liked the concept of the fight at the very end that I could ignore the little bit of less than amazing CGI. Felt like a Video game boss fight at the very end, a fun kind.) I loved the look of Wakanda, and the very concept of a human society so advanced made me excited for when Guardians of the Galaxy stuff eventually meets Wakandan/Black Panther stuff.
I’m live near Yeovil when I was in school we used the card thing, they’re called “smart cards” I would get like £15 a month on it or something and I never used all the money before I left... I wonder if they would still serve me???
As a kid who had free school meals. It was so that you could have a proper meal, a drink, fruit and a snack (flapjack or so on) BUT! Everyone would just buy tons of snack with it and save them for when you got home and have them then

In many cases, those that cannot afford school lunch do not have enough to eat at home either, so schools sometimes give them the chance to eat enough in case they go home to nothing. Just saying.
