I love this scene, 2 people just connecting with each other and inside the train- so intimate without being physical. Meeting of the minds: Brilliant!!
I watched this as a young girl and have never forgotten what a good film it was… She was so beautiful…. And a fantastic actress ❤ Her death was suspicious…. I’ll leave it there…
Yes, Natalie will always be one of my all time favorite actresses! Not only was she beautiful, but a really, really great actress! This is also one of my favorite Natalie Wood films, but I do love em all!
Natalie & Robert attended the same high school but didn't know each other that well then. She is my all-time favorite actress. A beauty with a very sad life story.
This movie came out when I was nine years old and I discovered Robert Redford. And have had a love for him ever since. I've seen all of his movies multiple times and I don't ever get tired of seeing him. Talented Mr Nice guy and gorgeous.
Too bad Redford is also a CRIMINAL: Was convicted and his studio SUED for STEALING other people's scripts and then trying to re-write them and sell them HIMSELF!
The majority of Natalie Wood's work has been largely unknown to me until very recently. I randomly decided to watch a bunch of her movies and this one was an obvious standout. I think this might be my favorite performance by her. Kinda hard to choose though since she had a long career of great performances.
Same thing happened with me. I have watched too many of her movies in the past year, before that, I only knew her by performance in "Splendor in the Grass".😊
When I was just a girl I saw this movie and fell totally in love 😍 with Robert Redford. His voice his smile his blonde hair boy have I loved him. Loved the entire cast of this movie. They were all so good in their parts.
I feel so sorry for Alva because she has always been viewed for her body and not her mind. I think this scene shows her personality real well. She was stunning and sexy in the outside, but on the inside, she had the mindset of an innocent child with big dreams. Mr. Legate was the only man who actually took an interest in her and not just for her looks. This is a beautiful scene that shows you can have a romantic moment without touch ❤. I wonder if she doesn't want him to leave because that's what happened to her father
In my humble opinion, Natalie Wood is the most beautiful woman EVER. There is no-one, past or present, who measures up to her beauty, she is simply breathtaking. In this film, she is at the peak of her loveliness.
When I was growing up in NYC in the 60's and 70's I always wanted to be like Natalie. ❤loved her and saw every movie she ever made! Saw Love With the Proper Stranger and went to get a job at Macys😂. And as far as Robert Redford goes all I can say is OMG! ❤him gorgeous
Comme ils sont beaux on comprend la grande attirance de robert pour Nathalie très belle et grande actrice il y avait quelque chose d'unique dans ce couple
Nossa ! ELE é lindo romântico & pleno nos Filmes que VI. . .👀 Que nos faz sonhar . . . A Parceria D'ELE Com Barbra Streisand 👉🏼 * Endless love * . . . É de tirar o fôlego . . . Ameiiii 💖
I would have loved to have seen Brittany Murphy play Alva in a revived version of the play OR the movie adaptation like this one. She had all of the qualities that were very similar to Alva. Fanciful, dreamy, and sweet, yet also has a lot more depth to her beyond the surface
BEST MOVIE/CHARACTER FOR NATALIE WOOD WITH INSIDE DAISY CLOVER AND SLENDOUR IN THE GRASS...LAST BUT NOT LEAST ''BOB,CAROL,TED AND ALICE''(HER BEST COMEDY)...
Robert Redford’s body language, his patience when he speaks and facial expressions just goes together so well on the big screen. One of the very best.
Goes together well , only on the big screen ?
I love this scene, 2 people just connecting with each other and inside the train- so intimate without being physical. Meeting of the minds: Brilliant!!
You have pointed it out!💖
Both great actors in probably one of their finest scenes. This was Natalie's favorite movie - easy to see why.
My favorite with both their movies.
August 3, 1966.
Wow! I was 5.
Also prestige. A Tennessee Williams.
She must have loved working with Robert because they worked together again
I watched this as a young girl and have never forgotten what a good film it was… She was so beautiful…. And a fantastic actress ❤ Her death was suspicious…. I’ll leave it there…
The chemistry between these two is palpable..
One of my all-time favorite!!!
Holy God! Robert Redford I forgot how handsome he was .Natalie wood as always draws your attention .She is an amazing actress.
The way that Robert looks at Natalie is quite magical.
Redford did know who she was. I they did cross paths at Van Nuys high school
This movie came out when I was nine years old and I discovered Robert Redford. And have had a love for him ever since. I've seen all of his movies multiple times and I don't ever get tired of seeing him. Talented Mr Nice guy and gorgeous.
I'm the same, but with Natalie. So beautiful.
Too bad Redford is also a CRIMINAL: Was convicted and his studio SUED for STEALING other people's scripts and then trying to re-write them and sell them HIMSELF!

Splendor in the grass 👍

What a scene, ladies and gentlemen....what a scene....
It's Tennessee Williams.
She had it all. ❤️
You are so right.
So did Redford!
Ils sont vraiment magnifiques quel couple extraordinaire quel talent l'alchimie parfaite natalie robert un très beau film

EDIT: Mr. Legate ended up becoming a horrible jerk. Everybody screwed Alva over. I pasted this comment before watching the movie, lol
Yeah I guess you can have a romantic moment without touching. But it gets extreme.
This film is very romantic
Was gonna watch this for Redford only, but it actually seems like an interesting movie
A good movie
An actor would "kill" to get into a Tennessee Williams play back then. Still today.

masterpiece of romance
She was at the height of her looks and talent here
My opinion: her best movie! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Robert Redford, the type of man women dream and fantasize about all our lives! ❤
He's hot, till you see him in real life- he's a small man😅 He just looks big on screen😢
Quel beau couple et quel talent🤩🤩🤩
Natalie Wood was a beauty.
Comme ils sont beaux on comprend la grande attirance de robert pour Nathalie très belle et grande actrice il y avait quelque chose d'unique dans ce couple

The movie is great.
It becomes sad...

Beautiful Natalie 😍
I love this movie.
The audio comes from the movie « This property is condemned » from 1966
3:56 For those who found this clip from Tik Tok
Robert Redford was definitely the brad pitt of his era ..such a eye candy lol
Redford, in my humble opinion, is much better looking than Pitt.
@@bluevictory1010he was
Totally feel that about Brad Pitt. But Robert Redford is on another level...
It's the other way around. Brad Pitt is the Robert Redford of his era.
Totally agree! Like a Greek God!!❤❤❤❤@@bluevictory1010

But who would have played Bob Redford..a Yung Brad Pitt?
@@handsome-brute2666 Yes!
I would love to have seen a young Vera Miles play Alva.
Clip from the movie 🎥
I love their chemistry. Redford hasn’t had any chemistry with any woman since Natalie
I imagine any babies those two would've had would've been
extremely attractive.
Postem esse filme todo

My aunt liked like her. They could of been tween. She alway make you feel safe. She away be . Because she is special. And aways.
Her makeup looks modern
Manic Pixie Dream Girl...
I came here to say that!
Robert redford has a uncanny look alike now adays the guy who plays on the mentalist. Any one ... Anyone... Am I not right ...
Omg you are right! Patrick Jane's actor
Bet BOB WAGNER..was nervous..HE SHOULD BE!! IF THERE WAS EVER A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN.. THIS WAS IT!! APART FROM MINE..🤐
Watched it just for Robert Redford ❤
I didn't really like the movie. Quite depressing 😕 😞 🙃 😪
It is. Understand what you mean. But for me I guess that's it's insight.
showbiz becomes bigger than construction and all are sloth!
Natalie wood reminds me of Charlotte church. They kinda look alike.
Brad Pitt does nothing for me. Blond haired blue eyed is usually not my biggest attraction. Robert Redford on the other hand.....
Absolutely agree
