According to scripture, he is not qualified to shepherd a church. He wasn't qualified when they appointed him, he was already 'beyond reproach'. Everything that happened publicly is because the elders appointed him when they already knew he didn't meet the scriptural requirements to be a pastor. This makes our Lord, Christianity, look just like the world to the lost. It will turn many, many away from Christ. If only those elders had obeyed scripture and not appointed him to be a pastor. He could have used his gifts in other areas, as a teacher or speaker, but only if he was truly repentant. Do you want to repeat the same mistake yet again, going in your own wisdom instead of the wisdom we were given by God in the scriptures? Robert Morris does not meet the requirements to be a pastor. This does not mean we do not love Robert Morris. It's _because_ we love Robert Morris that we don't want to put him back in charge of a flock. He needs to repent humbly and stay repentant so that he is accepted by Christ when he dies. Don't put him back in danger, in a place of pride where he had to lie by omission to get his position. Those elders already knew enough to know he didn't meet the requirements but were willing to overlook what they knew (shame on them). Robert knew he was omitting more severe details that would have caused them not to overlook what they already knew (shame on him). We need to do things _God's way._ There is a place for everyone to serve but not everyone is qualified for the position of pastor OR elder (as also noted).
Firstly this man needs to repent because there is no evidence he has done, he also preaches a false gospel what is most troubling is the amount of people who blindly follow these mega church pastors they clearly don’t know how to rightly divide the word. It’s sickening
I don’t think you know what a false gospel means. Check yourself and pray because God does not do mistakes. And he gave this pastor a gift so he can win would to God and that’s what he has done. What have you done for God!
