Louis, I gotta thank you for this review. I ended up ordering a pair of these. Got them today. The fitment on them is spot on what you said. I usually wear a 10.5 vans slip on and I got these in 10. They fit perfectly. They are stiff as boards right now but I am sure they will break in nicely. Thanks for this review and mentioning how they fit. Big thumbs up.

I have them and I love them so sick! I also had the ultra all black ones they lasted me approx 5-6 years and I bowl quite a bit…so had to get these! My Tour Ultra C’s came in on Tuesday, I bowled in my league Wednesday and shot my 2nd 300! It’s gotta be the shoes! Haha, but all seriousness I pre-ordered mine and they do run a 1/2 size too big but I already knew that so just be sure to order half a size down. Great informative video Luis!
They look pretty cool. My Dexter Mens SST 8 SE Black/Blue/Silver shoes are still in good shape so I'll be using them for at least a few more years before I need to decide on new ones.
I've been wearing KR Strikeforce for a little over a year now. I really like them. They replaced my Etonic E-Tour Masters, which I liked as well. I was leaning the Dexter route as my new pair, but I think it is crap that you have to buy all the soles and heels individually. That would have put them over $100 more than the KRs.
I have the previous generation of the Tour Ultras in Silver/Blue/Black. Absolutely love them. Have stayed with the default slide sole on them for pretty much every house I bowl at locally. However, I do change both the soles and heels for things like Nationals when USBC makes the approaches super tacky. Enjoy those shoes, man!
@@LuisNapoles I use the cleat with a mix of the slickest and next slickest dots for the sole and then the leather heel. That allows me to get the slide I'm used to getting.

Damn! If I was in the market for shoes, these would be my #1 choice. I had an old pair of sst8s that came with all of the slide soles. Wasn't aware Dexter stopped doing that when I got the 9s colorshift. Love em, but feels cheap that they didn't include the extra soles.

You went with the better choice in my opinion I bought the Dexter SST 6’s and literally tried them once and they honestly didn’t compare to my 3G Tour Ultra’s (all black) so I knew I couldn’t go wrong ordering these and i was super happy when mine arrived Tuesday(I pre-ordered mine). Man what an awesome shoe, the kangaroo leather is super comfortable. Plus they don’t cheap out like Dexter has been as of late.
Luis, that is great the 3Gs are finally being released. I have an old pair of DT (Dynathane) which are the same as 3Gs and need a new pair of shoes as mine are 20 years old. I believe they will also come in black/white….Belmo wore a pair a few weeks ago. Thanks for doing a review.
I have had a few pairs of interchangeable sole shoes already because of how much I bowl. I tore up the Brunswick TPU-X in only 8 months. I then got the 3G Tour Ultras, and I had them for 3 years. I’ve since gone through the Sport Ultras, Dexter SST6 BOAs, and now THE 9’s. My favorite has to go to the SST6’s however.
Dexter has lost my business. I love the boa system Dexter offers, but that is all they have to offer. The shoe trees and all the other sole options are next level. As always, great thorough review!!
My boa system just started breaking through to my foot.. its still in leather but agrivating and had to replace my take off shoe sole as it split after about 6 months
Currently have the Dexter 9 Colorshift BOAs and love them. Did not like the split THE7 slide sole that came with them. Went a little slicker to the S8. It’s nice that 3G provides options with the shoes. My 9’s were extremely expensive and came with less.

Just got a new pair of hammer razor's to replace my 25+ year old shoes I have been using since high school. Although the new shoes are much more comfortable they are taking some major getting used to for slide. I am used to having leather slide soles on both shoes and lower friction heels. The newer shoes are higher friction for sure which made me really uncomfortable at first. I put a slicker slide sole on which has helped, but the heel is stickier than I like and it's not replaceable like the ones you reviewed. Hoping over time I can get used to the new feel. You never realize how important shoes are until you change what you're used to.
I'm currently in the San Antonio 3G tour ultras with the kangaroo leather, and the old ones ran a little big too since I wear a 9 and I bought a 9, so the next pair I buy is gonna be a half size smaller
I recently got the regular 3g tour in black. Didn’t come with all the accessories but that’s ok I’m pretty happy with the stock configuration which never happens. Definitely run a tick large but I feel like when I wear a slightly larger sock during the upstate NY winter months they’re perfect. My summer super thin athletic sock not so much. Wish they came in a 9 and 3/4 lol I am typically a 10. Thanks for the review, love the channel.
I originally ordered the ultra tour comforts, but then swapped it to the tour X’s. I wear a size 13, but they don’t make a 12.5. I wonder if I should have ordered a 12. I’ll find out soon!

This was a good review. Something different and shoes are very important in bowling. You actually seemed to slide a bit better with these. Are they wider than your Dexters? I’m in the Dexter the 9 right now myself.
You know I just wish they didn't only have them in orange. I don't plan on buying new shoes soon because I got tour ultras last year (all black) and love them but I don't care for super flashy colors.
Thank you for a shoe video. I been looking for a good pair I am just starting to getting into some tournaments and all the approaches from house to house is so different. I like to slide and my current Dexters are not interchangeable and I need to use the slide cover that goes over them and they wear out fast and are not consistent as they wear. I noticed some of the Dexters SST 6 and a few 8's come with more than the 9's. I did hear the 8's was not made as good as the 9s but now I have a few more options. Thanks for this video. I for one sure want to see more video's like this and even maybe some bag reviews. Every bowler needs shoes and bags. I would also like to see a review on the types of thumb tapes and the advantages from the different textures and how they affect your release. Anything that can help me improve my game I am down to see.

Are these new Tour Ultra C's kangaroo leather? I have the black/blue/silver tour ultras I got about 3 years ago. They still look like they just came out of the box. Honestly, I can't say they are better than the Dexter's cause I never had a pair of them, but when I researched both of them the 3G's won out because of all the extra soles/heels that came with it and they were kangaroo hide. Kangaroo is MUCH softer and 'already broke in feel' than cowhide and will last just ask long. I do two league nights per week as well as some local tournaments here and there. You are correct that they are the best bang for the buck with all the extra soles and heels. Also, IF you need a sole that is in between or outside the stuff 3G gives you, you can still buy a dexter sole and cut it to fit since dexter still has way more sole options. The cleat system is great but you fine tune it to one house and then go to another house for a tourney and do you really have that much time to figure out a different cleat pattern with the 15 mins of warm up they give you? No. So the solid soles tend to work better for me; although I tend to find that I change heels more than I do soles for my slide game, but to each their own. The only negative that I have about the shoe is that I wish there was a bit more insole padding inside the shoe (and dr shoals and the like just take up too much room inside). They can be a little hard on the feet if you tend to stand more than sit between frames and you're bowling long blocks. Other than that, I love my Tour Ultras!
They have went away from kangaroo A LONG time ago. I just like the bang for my buck plus they feel every bit as good as any other shoe I have ever worn
@luis thinking of grabbing these, do you know if they are dropping other colors anytime soon before I spend the cash? SST-8 was my other choice for the lace less system but really like the 3G look.
Good review! Few questions. How do they feel temp/breathable (sweating purposes) being all leather? How does the leather hold up? Comfort wise after breakin 1-10? Lastly,how do they fit in size compared to regular shoes? Im considering these and Dexter SST8 Power frames.

Now that you’ve had them for a while the main complaint I’ve heard about these shoes is that they are very stiff compared to the black or the silver black version. Have they become less stiff?
Just got mine... in nike tennis shoes i run a 10. But i have flat feet and got the 9.5... i think with wearing these will break in perfectly... second what is that shiny piece on the table? A pick or something you have to help pick this velcro off.. yes its strong better than my the 9 color shift shoes...ahhmm a year old and already junk

How do these compare to the SST8 Power Frame BOA or the The 9 HT Color Shift? I have wide feet so I've been trying to see which would best fit my feet while also being durable. Unfortunately, don't see any of these at my local pro shop
I have the color shifts for a year or so now.. flat feet myself normally in nike shoes i wear a 10...color shift 9.5... the new g3 pro tour i got 9.5...plenty wide... fyi my boa is breaking through my shoe now
I use Dexters pro boa bowling shoes. And I really do love I got my back up pair shoes there a pair storms those were my first pair dexter pro boas Really comfortable really breathable And that has the boa lysing system which is awesome I don’t have to worry about tying my shoes anymore I could just twist the knob on my Dexter’s and go bowl
I am new to buying bowling gear, why do these shoes come with 1 shoe cover? I would assume you would need a shoe cover for each shoe, so I assume I am missing something. I greatly appreciate your help!
How doe the heels and slides attach? Is it velcro? Has anyone ever found that the slides fall off in while bowling? No one seems to say how they attach, nor do the websites. Thank you!
@@LuisNapoles I’ve tried to find someone to fix them to no avail. I scour ebay weekly to try and fine new ones. Has to be the old school style with the gum rubber with leather tip on the push shoe.
Are the 3g narrow? I have chubby but small feet. Torn 6 pairs of sst8 already but they don't fit well. Always wanna try 3g but not sure about the sizing

3G Bowling Shoe Adjust A Heel is a great option to adjust the heel slide as well. Along with the cleated sole gives a ton of great options for slide.

the slide pads are a neat touch. I will say it be cool if they came in a mat finish. I am not a fan of glossy shoes
They’ve had some Matt finish ones before. I like that they come with 4 slide soles and 3 heels that’s something no one shoe company does

Not a huge fan of orange. But otherwise they look nice. Plus this gives us a look at your footwork, which we haven't seen, or seen much of.

Fyi my boa is starting to break through my shoe where it must attach to the soul... very noticable...maybe a year old
I wear Dexter THE 9 with BOA size 8.5 extra wide. I wear an orthotic on my push away foot and my feet are wide.

what’s the difference between these orange tour ultra/c, and the black tour ultras? i wanted to get the black ones since it’s a sleeker look but if the orange ones beat them in performance then i’ll go with the orange pair
From what I’m being told it’s the materials and how they are produced. These orange ones will last longer
I was getting anxiety on the left side profile slow mo shots with your toe riiiight on the line. Lol. I'm on the edge of getting new shoes but could get some time out of my THE BOA 9s
That was as close to a foul as you could get lol I wanted to loves the 9’s but never did so I always went to the 6’s and 8’s but I like these more

Now that you’ve had them for a while the main complaint I’ve heard about these shoes is that they are very stiff compared to the black or the silver black version. Have they become less stiff?
They were still when I first reviewed them but they are super comfy now!
I've used dexter ssts for many years but I just ordered a set of Hollmark black opps looking forward to giving them a try

Just got mine... in nike tennis shoes i run a 10. But i have flat feet and got the 9.5... i think with wearing these will break in perfectly... second what is that shiny piece on the table? A pick or something you have to help pick this velcro off.. yes its strong better than my the 9 color shift shoes...ahhmm a year old and already junk

No they definitely aren’t. Just so stiff at the beginning. I filmed a video after and once they broke it that stopped
How do these compare to the SST8 Power Frame BOA or the The 9 HT Color Shift? I have wide feet so I've been trying to see which would best fit my feet while also being durable. Unfortunately, don't see any of these at my local pro shop
I haven’t tried any of those. Before these I used the SST 8 camos and I like the 3g’s way more
I have the color shifts for a year or so now.. flat feet myself normally in nike shoes i wear a 10...color shift 9.5... the new g3 pro tour i got 9.5...plenty wide... fyi my boa is breaking through my shoe now

On BowlersMart website they say shipping March 1st. Shoes are HIGHLY delayed across all brands and manufacturers even outside of bowling.

I use Dexters pro boa bowling shoes. And I really do love I got my back up pair shoes there a pair storms those were my first pair dexter pro boas Really comfortable really breathable And that has the boa lysing system which is awesome I don’t have to worry about tying my shoes anymore I could just twist the knob on my Dexter’s and go bowl
I used to use the sst8 camo that had the BOA system. That’s the ONLY thing I miss from those shoes
I just got the Dexter nines freshman. And man how I love them. So much. And I might buy me some 3GS I haven’t fully decided yet
I am new to buying bowling gear, why do these shoes come with 1 shoe cover? I would assume you would need a shoe cover for each shoe, so I assume I am missing something. I greatly appreciate your help!
You only need a shoe cover on the slide sole. The push off shoe doesn’t have felt

@@LuisNapoles I’ve tried to find someone to fix them to no avail. I scour ebay weekly to try and fine new ones. Has to be the old school style with the gum rubber with leather tip on the push shoe.
