I agree with pretty much everything on your list with the exception of perks unless there is a strong visual element for it.
I believe a large amount of the finals meta-game surrounding engagements is the skill that goes into remembering/quickly identifying what abilities/gear your opponents have and any type of invisible perk system would work against this. The feeling of not being able to predict something or understand why something happened until you die ultimately leads to a lot of those, "THAT'S BULLSHIT" moments.
But overall, I like a lot of the suggestions and with the hindsight of the teaser that came out yesterday a lot seem to be coming true :)
@@ElectroAde yeah perks would need to work for the finals if implemented but the idea adds to the sandbox of the game already so id love them to explore the concept
if you die by an invisible light you were either not paying attention to visual/sound effects or werent near your teammates

I feel like perks would make more sense as a passive team buff type of thing. So medium reduces the teams regen delay, light increases the teams base movement speed, no idea about heavy. Also only make them active when within x meters of your team.

Definitely like to see some optimization to increase fps across the board. I have a high end pc so its not too bad for me but playing on my friends mid level system last weekend was miserable lol frame drops everywhere with not even a “bad” pc
luckily they said they’re making engine enhancements which should give better optimization across the board, i hope it’s substantial and i think it will be if they put it in their announcement blog
All great ideas. I think the biggest thing Embark needs to do is bring new limited time modes. Experiment with party modes, solo modes, and slower paced modes. It's a crime that Embark hasn't attempted a gun game or oddball type mode

Devs that worked at DICE should know that Terminal Attack & Power Shift is not made for The Finals. Playing Cashout mode feels like i'm playing Battlefield.
Wishlists for season 4: Casual/Ranked Cashout 5v5 mode, Rush mode like in Battlefield, SOLO Bank It for players who likes to play solo & doesn't want to solo que due to random teammates being toxic.

There's nothing wrong about Power Shift, it's decent but it feels like i'm playing Overwatch. I rather play a mode that has 5v5 casual cashout.

i really like the first point, i havent really played custom games too much but it feels super neglected as a feature, i feel like its missing a ton of features like all the customization you were talking about, ik tournament runners would love that. another cool feature could be the option to section the map off, to make smaller parts of the map to play on if ou only have like 4 friends playing
Definitely would like to see monthly content drops. Just a couple new gadgets, new features like heal barrels, etc. Spread out over the whole season.
Heal barrels would be amazing. Instead of chasing around your braindead medium you can just pop a heal barrel and start regen.
Id love to see the light class with a wallhack ability to see gadgets/grenades through walls at a certain range. It would fit well into the recon roll the class can play. Making it more viable in ranked as well.
I agree we need matchmaking improvements across the board. WT is a prime example of this. I am Emerald 3 and I solo q with bronze players on the regular.
As far as gameshow style modes. Itd be cool if randomly theres a coin rush event where you can grab coins thay come out like pac man and cause other players to lose them by killing them
I think they could be doing a bit of a perk system with the fleshing out of the sponsors, I think that could be really cool for you too use vrs to go through a sponsors tree and passively buff certain parts of your kit.
They need to remove ranks from being visible mid game aswell. In s2, full lobbies would team up and grief my team out of the next round because they could see we were diamond 1.

Rather than letting players divide themselves into different game modes, there should be the option to click a "Find me the quickest game" with filters for which game types you're looking for. That would streamline the matchmaking experience for non-ranked players.
Tough to argue against AKM skins, that's where their money comes from.

No one streamer mode. As soon as I see Balise or Lycommit in the game everyone already knows it's over. Streamers shouldn't be treated above regular players.

another thing with the sponsors you could have like a rival day or week/weekend. where you can only play with your fellow people sponsored by the same team and face the others. and dependent on where your sponsor ranks at the end different rewards/skins etc

Perks are completely out of the realm of what makes The Finals so unique. I agree with most of what you say, but game design is hard so you should sometimes take a step back and look at the grand picture of the scene rather than focusing on finer details.
Strangely enough i also believe having a clan or crew system would hinder the game as well, further segmenting and alienating parts of the community even further. As would the server browser. If we had call of duty numbers those would be SO SICK, but we dont, so we gotta focus on getting players onboarded into our game rather than just pleasing the veterans.

I think the xp needs, not necessarily a full nerf, but a re-work. It’s been the light meta for all of season 3. There’s literally no reason not to choose it over the other light guns.

Actually. It is possible for them to have viewers choose events and whatnot on stream. I've seen and done it on hyperscape which was really cool at the time. Wish it didn't die out quickly cause it was a really fun battle royale game.
Vermintide 2 has a twitch mode too! It lets viewers vote on the events that happen throughout the mission. It's pretty epic.
I talked about this in the finals discord, but what if they swapped RPG and winch? Think about it, RPG has never not been ran by a heavy. RPG is the single strongest heavy gadget because it's balanced like a secondary weapon, which is really strong in a game where everyone else only gets one weapon. Winch meanwhile is so versatile but so oppressive the devs nerfed its whole usefulness by half with the range nerf: half distance to grab cashouts, half distance to grab items, half distance to do anything cooler than get a free kill. Winch is already designed like a gadget (lookin at you *data reshaper*) so make it one and balance it like one. RPG meanwhile gets to go untouched because if anything, RPG defines a heavy. RPG special heavy is just heavy but less anoying at low ELO, cause now he doesn't get his strongest versatility tool AND his strongest defensive tool(s) the trade off gets much more severe trying to run RPG since now you can't run mesh or charge or goo gun at the same time, all very strong options in their own right, and RPG suddenly isn't the insta pick it used to be and *literally nothing about the RPG changed except which button you use to pull it out*
Winch is too complex to be balanced alongside "press q: insta shield" "press q: cloak" "press q: full auto goo grenades" "press q: place turret" etc etc., the specializations are all fairly simple, with winch being far and away the most complicated one. Meanwhile the next most complicated specialization is what, demat? Goo gun? Is goo gun harder to explain what it does than winch?
Meanwhile all this time I'm staring at data reshaper like "why do you exist? Coolest item in the game, never seen used once."
The lack of a native server browser is the single most baffling step backward in mainstream gaming of the last decade. It causes games to die 10 times quicker.

I wish for the level 9 skin to be goven more love. The level 8 and level 7 are so mid when compared tot he level 6... but they require the same amount of experience. I like showing mastery for my weapons so i wish Embark would put a little more emphasis on these skins

I think it would be a good idea to add the ability to save outfits because I want to have more than the ones I have, as well as some I only want on light, so only having 6 possible classes and having to duplicate a loadout just to have a different skin is kinda annoying. I just think it would be a nice feature because I really want to make lots more combos but currently cant because I've used up all my class slots and changing the ones I do have is time consuming and I just wanna play the game after a while.

The problem why I dont really get into the Finals is that its often to mutch focused on objective play.
I like to play light, simply because I want movement but everytime I get into a Lobby people hate me for it just because I play that class.
A game should not be designed that way to favor all other classes but one.
If we look into the Meta we dont see light up there. We see HHM or MMH because they fit into the objective playstyle of the game.
Heavy to shield the Objective and Medium to hold/heal.
The class that focus on killing, Light, feels like it has no place in the finals.
So I would like to train at least my role as the "killer" of the team.
To win my 1v1s against all classes but in normal play you cant really train that.
How can you train youre aim and gamesense against a Heavy on the point with a Medium on heal or turrets.
That why I would like a free for all playlist.
Every class not just Light can train to land there shots.
Heavy and Medium can learn how they deal with a Light in a 1v1 Sotuation and the light can learn how to beat H&M.
My wish is reverting every guns recoil pattern back to season 1 and instead of nerfing things buff weapons that are bad and underused
It's almost sad to think that a unique game like the finals could fail, but also in my head I'm just like "why is the community the "only" ones that "seem" to being putting fort any unique ideas and they don't even work for embark. I understand it's a hand and hand relationship but holy does it feel one-sided at times. Season 4 looks like it will be an insane season, I'll stick around to see what happens just a few days left.

at 1:10 I've had this bug before. The wall can be walkthrough from the other side but it blocks you from this side. Same exact wall.

i been wanting a more fleshed out private match system with a server browser for opening up private matches since they implemented it. tons of fun game modes can be made and you can meet new people and make the game more social

The thing about the sight options in R6 Seige is that even the sights are balanced like how irons have more ADS speed than other 1x sights and higher or ACOG is effective for longer ranges but slower ADS speed. Some weapons obviously can't realistically have this such as bows, throwing knives, or melee weapons.

I disagree. Damage not stacking on mines doesn’t make any sense… if you use both charges, you should get the benefit of both.
Rpg doesnt make sense either. Its literally a rocket. Why are we try to continuously gut heavy. Its already the least fun to play.

They need to fix how some of the cosmetics can’t be used with others, I bought that bundle for that scavenger outfit and I can’t use my dog or anything on my back with that damn outfit..
What makes the finals unique and fun to play is the lack of a popular meta. The meta is playing to your OWN playstyle and a setup that plays to your strengths. Adding perks and scopes will destroy the variety of setups you see other players use and will turn the game to COD 2.0 where everyone in the lobby will be using the exact same class setup
but maybe its the other way around. Scopes and Perks add more variety so you can get even more unique and use sutff the fits your own playstyle even better. It is just a balancing issue. But i think good balanced perks and scopes add a lot of good things to the game.

@@Appoh More options doesn't inherently lead to more choices. Too many options can lead to analysis paralysis, especially for new players, leading them to look up a guide and then just using the popular build.

My number 1 thing I want the most would be penalizing people for leaving games. Really frustrating trying to learn new weapons when people just leave your team hanging to immediately queue for another game.
Do you go really negative like 0-10 when learning new weapons? Do you try out new weapons in World Tour and ranked? Because in that case your negative impact on the game is comparable to leavers in the eyes of many. Should you be penalized for playing like a bot?
@@roguetwice469 never played ranked and almost never go negative kda but people leave games all the time for what ever reason and it kills so many games. I am a support main and I get I'm not top kills but I'm pulling my weight and trying my best so does that mean I have to suffer because someone wants the best. We're all trying to do the best we can. I just want a follow through because we can make it happen.

I hard disagree on a want to change the TTK i think its perfect where its at generally. Hell lower ttk i feel would make the fun but risky play styles in this game worse and thats what i like about finals is a correctly timed risky play can win a whole game.
Its not like ttk is very high either. Tons of light weapons can shred very fast.

My wishlist:
- Remove all modes from public queueing except unranked cashout & Make all the other modes available on private matches only
- Make ranked 1 round of cashout "Ranked Cashout"
- End of season (last month) enable "THE FINALS" ranked mode which is 3v3 and disable Ranked Cashout
- Add local multiplayer
- Add stats
- Add skippable kill cam
- Add replays
- Add automated scheduled tournaments that you can optionally join like Rocket League does
- Add endorsing like Overwatch
- Add skins for VRs
- Make different lore depending on the amount of stuff (kills, wins, whatever) happens on the people that play their sponsors
- Add a better spectator mode
- Being able to swtich teams / spectator in private match lobby
- Being able to pause mid match in private match with a timer like Dota 2.
- Add a forum / discord section for private match tournaments + rewards on winning those
- More marketing

Not sure why, I really don't like the idea of perks in the COD sense. Like you just pick a bunch of perks and have them. I'd rather have some rouge-like style perks though. Some system where it depends on how you play over a single match to activate perks for example. Just an idea.
honestly i didnt like the first two minutes but after you said it would allow embark to balance around cashout and let the community kinda deal with other modes, ill have to say i changed my mind and completely agree. my only worry is that people might tend to make it too restrictive.. for example earlier today i saw a comment complain about meta guns and then proceeded to list half the weapons, like what? like yeah theres a few on the weaker side but you cant list 9+ guns as meta. idk then again i could just make my own lobby too.
I hope they don't add sight customization. It would ruin the clean simplicity of the weapon options.

"Streamer mode" vs "Clan"
If you want to have a clan where when people see that clan, they will be afraid, that is against what you say about "streamer mode(anonymous mode)" , people will play differently when they see that clan, they will of course avoid them. And that is what i don't agree with your take on anonymous mode. If my goal is to qualify, why shouldn't i avoid a team that have all Top 100 players? What is wrong with that? Maybe to you, as a top player, it doesn't make a difference, you can still have a great chance of winning, but for your average player, even top 10K player, If i have to pick my battle, i am not picking the team with 3 Top 100.
Which confused me because you seems to agree that with the Clan system, people should be scared when they see "that clan".

This might not be a absolute true statement and some what leaning towards assumptions, but you are rank 44 on TF, Rank 303 (Ruby) on TA. I don't think you understand average players. I don't think you understand why we want to avoid teams that have high rank players. To you they are all the same, you have at least 50% chance of winning. Where to your average player, they can choose to fight a Average team (50% of winning) or Top 500, (30% of winning). Your starting point is 50/50 at minimum because you are literally one of the best player on the game.
it gives people the option, streamer mode anonymous, or you flex your clan and name and let people know who you are, options are good

On a similar setting(fair case):
1.Average player vs Top 100 players, have a lower chance of winning. That is a fact.
1.1 Lets assume the chance of winning is 40%(Average player)/60%(Top 100)
(This is me being generous, a good amount of Top 100 players can dominate game to a point that they are getting all the Cashout)
2.Average player vs average player have a simialr chance of winning. That is a fact.
2.1 assume 50%/50%
3. In a case of me being a average player, which team do i choose?
the team I have 40% of chance winning or 50%, it is just a probablity, and you know the answer.
To summarize, I am not saying picking a fight with a Top 100 team = losing.
I am not saying being a Top 100 player = winning every game.
I am saying, as a average player, I am picking the fight that have a higher chance of me winning.

I've gotten pretty much everything I've ever wanted in an FPS out of this game so honestly all I'm really left with is want for TDM and for them to drop the AI thing unless the story is gonna pay it off somehow.
The new sponsors being AI art is just feels weird and kinda tonedeaf. I already have so many friends who understandably refuse to give The Finals a shot because of their disdain for the AI voice acting (which tbh is the absolute worst part of this game cause it ruins all story moments and half of the in-game dialogue anyways) so diving into that aspect more just feels so worthless and while I wouldn't say its a main cause of the game's current lack of becoming a Top 10 game it absolutely isn't helping.
Its a tired subject but the sponsors really thrust it back into the limelight for me. I love this game so much it really is a game concept I've dreamed of for years and this one aspect feels like such a monkeys paw moment.
You know what I also want first person animations for the pets. I love having a rat or cat on my shoulder but not having any way to interact or see them in-game outside of emotes is so lame. Give them a unique interaction on weapon inspect or a unique first person emote!

It is a shame that we dont have input based Matchmaking. Like every Shooter has it. As a high elo Controller Player it is not possible to compete with mnk.
great vid, only thing i disagree w is streamer mode. i've been against gigz multiple times and all games after the first i just avoid his team constantly, and i'll continue dodging bc im in platinum and im not a dunce. it's either get to the finals and lose or lose right away, top 10 and platinum mfs like me should never be matched together in the first place. streamer mode for top 500 maybe, feels more like a downgrade everywhere else and would make it feel more like bots instead of real players if i start seeing Contestant 2 running around the map
Your argument for streamer mode being added, I disagree. Think about it. It’s a game show where you vs contestants, a big part in strategy when facing teams is to either gang up on the biggest threat or avoid threats. Why? Because streamers and top players are better at than game than your average player. Because they have more time played/ more hours of practice with strategy and gun play. So if an average player or even a top player/ streamer recognizes a name, they can base a strategy around them wether it be targeting or avoiding. This is just something that naturally happens, especially in real life. Forming a strategy based on who your opponent is.
Certain games should have streamer mode but certain games shouldn’t and the finals shouldn’t
they can just show each players loadout, and thrughout the game you learn who is good and how to play against them or what strategy to form. a streamer mode just makes the gameplay more healthy for everyone, as a streamer this would help me out a ton to make my games play better. It would also help with smurfs, some higher elo TA players use smurfs to now avoid being noticed, I'd probably do the same thing to avoid the name chasing that happens. it has no negative impact to other people, no streamer mode means streamers get screwed over a lot, it's a big reason why our twitch viewerbase is so damn small, people dont enjoy streaming this game
@@Appoh hmm I agree that is a valid point, on getting more fights/ more action for a viewers. Yeah I get it, the finals isn’t that big when it comes to audience as of now. It’s competing against other big games such as Apex, Cod, overwatch, etc… no one wants to see nothing happening so you’re definitely right. Even thoI still have the opinion it shouldn’t be added for my strategic point, I now also agree it should be added because this game needs more views and I would like to see the finals grow.

I’d be wary of adding private servers. If you think that having LTMs would split a shrinking player base, then imagine what having 100 different+ servers would do. If the games population goes back up I think it’s a great idea, but don’t think it fits atm. If I’m on base on this though lmk! Love the vids ❤
@@Kuhlguy414 it wont split the playerbase it just gives people options, think of most games with community servers theres plenty of empty servers, another server does no = players in that server. I think it just gives people more freedom of choice without making the playerbase more split. People will gravitate to what has a population already
@@Appoh it’s a fair point that people will gravitate to already fuller servers, but I think it would require the official game modes to move to a server system as well. If they didn’t and used the current random queuing system, I am inclined to think that queue times would be negatively affected/be considerably longer. With less people in the core modes, it would take longer to find people to fill lobbies (without even bringing SBMM into the conversation)
@@Kuhlguy414 we already have this issue with a million quick play modes, removing all of those to just have your cashout/ranked whatever + a communtiy tab that has plenty of player hosted servers means theres a huge chance most players will just go to standard game modes, but the truly popular quickplay modes will still see light in community tabs, but at least there we wont see metas being abused as much, its a win for everyone

@@Appoh way more balanced than most AAA multiplayer games tho. this game has never been as broken as a call of duty. and they are going in a better direction every season in my opinion.
