  • Building another Streetfighter, 1000rr based, with tons of tricked items on the way. ZX14 wheels swap along with a custom ducati monster seat fitted on the subframe is the biggest. Deciding on Color... :/

    good advice actually. I am 24, after taking my test on a xj6 last summer i waited a year and went on to buy a 150hp gsxr 1100 streetfighter. i ride it every time the suns out, but you do have to be very sensible! despite my experience, if i full throttled it all round town im likely to come off!

    You are very right. I guess I should have included the caveat that you should have SOME bike experience before starting with a liter bike. Dirtbike, even a moped, anything to just get the feel of how some type of motorized bike works. I rode a 250 4 stroke and learned on a friends 600 a couple years later and it was second nature. But complete beginners on a motorized bike should start on, at the most, an older carbed 600.

    I just love watching this video. That bike is really sick man. Thinking about getting a Suzuki gs500f would you recommend that as a good beginner bike?

    did you have to extend any of the throttle cables?

    I wouldn't suggest anyone to jump on a liter bike from the get go. Yes, it's possible to safely get your feet wet on one, but at least go to a 600 first because it's more manageable to learn the basics on, since a lot of the bigger bikes have more drastic power bands than the 600s. My 13' 1kRR is docile at quarter throttle, after that, it's warp speed a head.

    What you're saying is only kinda true man. The main thing is the consequences of the mistakes people make. You're right in the sense that it will only do what you tell it to, but thats the thing learners and novices who have never ridden don't have the throttle, brake and general bike control that more experienced riders have. Chopping the throttle through corners on a carbie 250 ninja wont spit you into the bushs. Do the same thing on EFI superbike and it may end a little differently.

    Where did you hide all of the fuses boxes that were on the side? I’m turning mine into a stunt bike and it’s ugly with all the wires showing

    You are right. I think I should have used a different term other than "idiot"... "Mature" seems to fit better. I think that if someone is mature enough to control the urge to go out and blast around, they can start on a big bike no problems. But, never ever ever ever would I let some 20 year old start out on one.

    how many bikes do you have?

  • @blown4six
    @blown4six 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    A beginner can learn on a R1 no problem. As long as you aren't an idiot with the throttle, its no less a "beginner" bike than a 600. It's all how you treat it. If you are a beginner with an R1 and try to show off, yeah you're gonna get hurt. Just don't be an idiot and you can learn on a ZX-14 even.

  • @blown4six
    @blown4six 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Beginners CAN make mistakes. As long as they are cautious and use their head they wont. Anyone can learn on a 1k if you treat it like a 250. As long as you don't ride crazy, you wont have any worse injuries from 1k than a 250 if you are learning. I'm just saying it's getting old that people think it's impossible to learn on a big fast bike. It only does what you tell it to do, so if you are easy on it, it wont be much different than learning on a weak bike. You don't HAVE to start with a 250..

  • @blown4six
    @blown4six 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Why is that bad advice? A beginner can learn on a 1000 if he isn't an idiot with the throttle. You can drive a 1k like you can a 250, you just have to be smart enough to treat it like one and not try and act cool and show off. Getting yourself and others hurt.

    first!!! chyeeeeeeeeeaaahhhh

  • @GuyFromLV
    @GuyFromLV 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why is that a bad advice? Because begginers make mistakes and a weaker bike is more forgiving than a 1k. So if you care about the person who is learning to ride a bike,you wont suggest him to start with 1k.

    Very bad advice! Nothing to do with being an idiot. Inexperienced is the right word. A 1000cc bike is pure adrenaline, raw muscle, so tons of excitement. Lack of experience and raw muscle is lethal combination. Excitement can easily lead to full throttle something that on a 250cc-25hp bike is just full throttle. On the 150-180hp R1 can be instant death if lucky and not get himeself on a wheel chair for the rest of his life. Better be patient and gain the required experience before that level.
