- Kalle Rovanperä, Mika Häkkinen & David Coulthard ride again, this time with Mika’s precious McLaren Senna - a hyper car built for track but also street-legal.
F1 legends Mika Häkkinen and David Coulthard are both used to driving on a racetrack - and on a McLaren. But how will Kalle Rovanperä, the youngest ever drivers’ champion of World Rally Championship (WRC), perform with this race track beast going from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds?

Besides the wild rides with McLaren Senna, we can see David Coulthard doing some laps with his Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG SUV, Kalle Rovanperä telling about his summer plans and Mika Häkkinen going 335 km/h flat out at the age of 54.

Amazing to see how well Mika and David still get along, given that they were fighting for the title with equal cars some decades ago. No grudge or bitterness at all. These two are the real gentlemen.
Well it wasn’t excactly a fight. David couldn’t bring any real challenge to Mika. Same reason why Lewis and Valtteri are good friends. Valtteri was never an actual threat to Lewis.
David was never in the contest.
@@pnusern I think that David was giving Mika a challenge, he just had bad luck. For example in Monaco '98 he had the same pace than Mika, but his engine blew out.
@@pnusern David beat Mika in 97 and 2001. In 2000 it was very close in the first half too.

These are nice ads but we want longer directors cut, too. With full lap incar video without any extra music, just the real audio.
Production quality is really great in these videos, but I see so much missed potential here. Why to edit them so short? This series could have been proper show with playful racing, interviews, stories from the past and so on. Now they are just quick snapshots, altough really good ones
This is already too long for some people most likely, but I get what you say. Maybe do this for advertisement purposes and a longer cut for those who are interested.
I agree but as another person responded you . unfortunately people tend to not want to watch much . but I totally agree with you I would watch 1 hour long if there was that long .
@@Garbox80there would be a great potential to show more the driving itself. And actual reactions of the people inside the car. Now they are too short snaps from here and there. It looks like a bad movie when they have to edit a bad driver to look like a good driver, but these guys are not bad drivers, and so many people would be very interested to see actually how fast they are if they try even a tiny bit seriously.
Kale is so natural and focused in anything with a wheel , legend in the making . Top !
Kalle I don't know if you'll ever gonna read this , but. , congrats on your amazing skills and career , I just a Brazilian that can't see WC cos I doesn't air here , still I'm so glad to see Mikka and David in these two videos ,made me go back in time when I was 14 and making coffee after midnight just to see the race in Suzuka in 98 Mikka and Michael the .. Again in 99 .. And to see him with you closing his eyes on the rally car shows how fast you are ! I'm you new fan and subscriber from a City called Campinas 60 mile from São Paulo city you'll defenitly will be multi rally champion !

Top drivers. But camera work especially the track part was not good. Too quick cuts. I did not get any understanding of the track. You could have shown like 4-8 seconds pieces from drone (chase view) to get clearer view of lines and cornering.
OH man, Senna would be sooooooo honored to have that racetrack monster with his name. After so many years, as a brazilian, still makes me sad to think about his death :(

These videos are WAY TOO SHORT!! This could had been longer with some talking about the car, maybe every driver does a lap and you guys time it etc, there is a lot of missed potential here.

3:42 Officially, he has never announced his retirement. He has been on sabbatical for 20 years.
Pretty sure he did announce after 2006 tests.
@@RecycleFinn No, when he left Mclaren he just wanted to take a sabbatical and didn't announce his retirement. Then, as you say, he did tests in 2006 for a potential comeback, but again he didn't announce his official retirement at the end of these tests. That's why the meme of him joining a team comes up on social networks every time a seat becomes available.

Iirc Mika on his debut totally outclassed his team mate in qualifying. His team mate? Senna!
Senna was so angered and dumbfounded he demanded to know how Mika was faster. Mika’s answer? Balls.
Senna was so unhappy about this answer he was aggressive to Mika deeming that answer was disrespectful to him.
I still think David has got the best colour scheme on helmets.

David e Mika sono rimasti amici, hanno fatto e fanno molte cose insieme...rimpiango quegli anni, altra f1 e altre persone...oggi cos'è? Sembra tutto virtuale, le auto sono videogiochi pieni zeppi di elettronica, i piloti - eccetto pochi pochissimi - sembrano robottini con registrazioni vocali, hanno l'espressività dello sportello di un frigo...Kalle penso si diverta molto con loro, li vede un po' come genitori, d'altra parte ha solo 23 anni, sebbene sia già due volte iridato WRC...

Niin onkii 😂just aattelin samaa ku katoin sen haastattelua viron voiton jälkee. Mietin et se on sen sukupolven kaveri, niin kansainvälinen käytännössäkin jo lapsesta asti, et se ois voinu puhuu enemmän "oikealla" tavalla ääntäen, ni tuli mieleen että aika tyylikästä ja perinteitä kunnioittavaa että vetää kunnon rallienglantia. Se on kuitenkin suomalaiselle aina luonnollisempaa yleensä ku ei tarvi pinnistellä ja kuulostaa snobilta ku yrittää ääntää suomalaisena oikein...lol

Luulisi, että rallin maailman mestarilla olisi varaa valita vähän parempia ja vastuullisempia yhteistyökumppaneita, kuin joku ulkomainen uhkapelifirma, joka taskuttaa voitot, mutta jättää haitat ja kustannukset suomalaisen yhteiskunnan ja veronmaksajien maksettaviksi. Se siitä vastuullisuudesta sitten. Arvostus laski kyllä tämän myötä todella jyrkästi!
