      Just a heads up, make sure to check your the documents for boiler to ensure there’s enough clearance in the front of it when you build the cupboard in case it needs repairs. I not long moved into a place and had the boiler mechanic come to service the boiler, and he said that the way the previous owner had built the cupboard around the boiler, he couldn’t access the boiler without us fully taking the front of the cupboard off. Worth knowing!!

    Great space layout ! I just want to point out the fiddle fig in the example would die in that location. That type of plant likes bright sunlight and would not be suitable for a dark room. I would recommend possibly doing a wall hanging Pothos that is mounted onto the wall so it brings height and will be happy with the low light. That way you can even put your Alex drawer back behind the desk if you want.

    Great design. I think you could choose a different plant and put it over the drawers, though. Or just on the wall that gets the daylight. Pretty simple solutions

      Don’t wait until the market skyrocket again then you start biting your fingers wishing you made the decision to invest. bought my third house already, earn on a monthly through passive income and got 4 out of 5 goals, just hope it encourages someone that it doesn’t matter if you don’t have any of them right now, you can start TODAY regardless your age INVEST and change your future! Investing in the financial market is a grand choice I made.

    I like this! But one flaw I find of glass or mirrors behind the desk monitor- is that the person can’t mutiltask or do anything with sensitive information while on Zoom or camera. Maybe they can angle it well so they don’t have this issue.
    Several coworkers over the years- I can see they’re on FB or potentially could see sensitive info bc of the reflection behind them. (Literally would regularly see the monitor of a person’s housemate who worked in cyber security every zoom meeting bc they worked back to back.)

    I love this series and have been binge watching it for several hours. However, I do have a genuine question : why move the alex cabinet and throw a potted tree, instead of keeping it there and putting a smaller plant on top such as some kind of fern that would have been really adaptated to the dim natural light coming from the top ? If you ever read this, I would love an answer ! Is it because it would have felt too cluttered ? Thanks for your time

    • @vagrantastronaut
      @vagrantastronaut 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Great idea! I love it. It does make sense; most of those big ornamental plants like the ficus in the video would benefit from a lot more natural sunlight that's not available in that kind of room.

  • @AndrewStefan

    Love the projector idea behind the curtains. Never would have thought of that

  • @janetkuhl-urbach639
    @janetkuhl-urbach639 ปีที่แล้ว

    Amazing transformation-very creative. I wonder why not leave the Alex-on casters-as that can never hurt-and put it in front of the Peloton as you first had it and place plants of various types/lengths suspended from a railing or alternately put a picture rail or slightly deeper shelf below the skylights to make an amazing accent wall. It would take advantage of the little bit of light, give the biker something to look at as well as someone using the daybed a meditative vision. The Alex unit would be close to the desk where it belongs. It would bring in LOTS of nature and eliminate the pot taking up valuable space and keep fewer things away from the potential fire hazard of the radiator. Picture ledge could also provide a place for couch user to place things as well as work as a night stand for use when bed is functioning. I do love that mirror hack-really attractive, and functional!!
    Thank you for your posts-amazing inspirational.

    Hey Daniel, what do you think about the idea of simply putting a plant over the ikea shelf so that it never has to move location for when the bed opens and perhaps helps the space feel less tight around the doors entrance?

      I feel that. 8 of my wardrobes will fill my room. It's really small when I try to fit in 2 tables and a bed. Nowadays it's impossible to have OCD without 2 tables, one for electronics and is less wide but deeper for more space to move your arms around and another is less deep but wider for alot of books, a shelf to arrange all the igcses books 😭 and so so many notes. I wish my school moved on from paper. E books and saving notes on word docs...

    Absolutely love it. The mirrors gonna make the whole space feel much bigger. However, I would change the direction of the hardwood floor, so it is running parallel with the longer wall. It will make the room look bigger and there's less cutting needed when you lay down the flooring. I love how you design small spaces, and this series you started is great. Can't wait for the next one.

    I wanted to skip to the end since I've been browsing youtube for room ideas but you got me hooked. Love your voice and how you explain everything, I haven't even finished watching yet but I already trust that it'll turn out good!! Edit: LOVE the outcome and how you just used the existing furnitures for the most part

    Love this channel and brings so much life to the design process. I’m not an interior designer, but I will definitely be playing around with this software for my family home’s kitchen reno. Thanks so much for the share!!! ✨🤍
