I love eating Dogfish, i think a lot of people are put off as they can be a pain to skin until you get the knack and my father loves them as no bones just cartilage spine, personally when the weather is good enough i lie to wrap them in foil and put on top of BBQ.

I had them once, apparently they're called rock salmon in some places. Quite gamey but in a good way.

🎣 Nice video very informative. What oil did you use and how long did you fry them for? They looked yummy 😋 and the sound crunchy. As a serving suggestion how about with salad and maybe some ketchup or tartare sauce for dipping. 🎣 Night fishing looks so much fun ..

Dogfish are a huge problem in South West Wales waters (probably outnumber all by 9:1). I feel bad about culling them but if I can eat them I’d be happier. That’s a sharp knife you’ve got there!

Well Kevin the meat is white and tastes nice but the only problem is getting the skin off as it’s a real pain

@@FishingwithAnto I tried cooking it once and the cat wouldn’t even eat it. My friend who eats them says that as their sandpaper skin drys, urea seeps into the meat giving it an off taste so it’s best to skin upon catching. Do you notice this? ( I see you left it overnight before eating)
