Bought 2 BRG9's, both have worked flawlessly! Personally, id say its a quality made pistol at a unbeatable price. Id suggest a review on the whitebox ammo. If they dropping bad ammo, that could be a nice bit of info to pass on to people!
I have a little over 500 rounds thru mine. Have had 3 stovepipes, all with the Blazer Brass FWIW. Otherwise it has run as it should. Note: You can find those compatible XD mags for $12.95 each online from J**Bobs.
I had the same problem with white box Winchester in my 23 year old CZ75 Pcr summer carry. Range officer said it has been happing often with Post covid win ammo.
brg does not respond to emails if you have issues with their firearms. bought a gen 1 brg9 and it would not feed underwood 147 grain hard cast bullets. emailed the company several times but never heard a word back. I would be very cautious about this company for that very reason.
This pistol looks absolutely phenomenal for the money! Your wife does very well in managing the recoil. I see one thing that could possibly help, and that would be leaning into it just a bit and widening her stance. Good review, I'm a new subscriber.
Very good review, I love my BRG9! But I wish to point out, the steel in the BRG9 is 4340, not the "standard" 4140 used in most guns. 4340 is harder than 4140, more corrosion resistant, due to the inclusion of nickel in it, whereas 4140 does not have nickel in it. From a steel manufacturing website: "However, in some heavy machinery parts or under extreme conditions that require higher strength and toughness, 4340 steel is often used. At this time, the advantage of 4340 steel is that 4140 steel cannot be replaced." I mean seriously, to get a higher quality, tougher steel than in most guns, for the price point of the BRG... not even to mention it's dependability and accuracy.... is simply amazing!!!
Second time at the range today with my BRG. First trip one of the mags kept falling out. The one that stayed in worked well and the gun shot amazingly well. BTW…contacted BRG and they sent me a replacement right away. Todays range trip both mags worked. And being honest with myself, this pistol out shot both of my Glocks. My son kept coming back to it he enjoyed it so much. Will it hold up? Time will tell, but for now it feels like I got a steal of a gun!
Maybe Winchester is sourcing harder primers? If it works and you can save $100.00 or more off the price of the XDM maybe its worth it. Gotta work on the flinching. It's an accuracy killer
Thanks for the quick response and the direction to this video. Good price, but I'll have to think about the light primer strikes. Maybe a gunked up striker? If I'd bought it and that happened, I'd try some CLP or maybe WD40, and shoot it again with the Winchester, just to see.
I really think its just the Winchester white box ammo. I have had similar issues in other guns. Their QC is not a good as it use to be. I am pretty satisfied with this firearms. Especially for the price.
Last person who tested this gun Sid they had few light strikes and then it was fine .. Maybe they pack extra grease there so takes a bit to clear out the channel ..then its good
I had issues with white box Winchester 9mm in my 1911 Kimber and that being the first time it's ever had as issue with any ammo, something going on with white box Winchester ammo I think they've made a bad batch 😠😠
I'm going to agree with that. We have had issues with the 115 gr. The 124 gr Winchester white box runs fine so far. We have about 350 rounds of that through our firearms.
Isn't that a fail? If it won't cycle the most commercially available ammunition? I have two of these, one for parts: (at $189, why not?) Never had a failure of any sort in 2500 combined rounds. But I don't use Winchester
Nice video. Straight to the subject. That gun is great. Bought 3 guns lately, can't buy this one😢, my wife kills me. Unless I sell one🤓. My only concern is your safety. Ejecting a bullet inmediately after a misfire is a no no. Stay safe.
Thank you I appreciate you checking out the channel. We have has lots of issues with our Winchester white box ammo. They have a new optic cut version for 2023 you should check out!
I try and get back to everyone. Sorry it took so long. This channel is my passion, but I have a real job too, hahah. I hope one day this could be a full-time job. Appreciate your support.
nicely done video, no fancy/distracting music or camerawork. subscribed.

Great video. Reminds me of the old-school YT gun reviews. None of the BS, just an honest review.
I love them like that simple and straight to the point.

Winchester White Box is terrible now a days.
The slide and barrel are made from 4340 steel, which is awesome.
Winchester white box tends to be more expensive than cci and seller & bellot and it typically has more issues. Thanks for the review
Thanks for the info!

Very smooth recoil impulse

It only happened with Winchester white box ammo. We have had issues with the entire white box case we picked up.
@@FamilyFirearmReviews That's a real aggravation for a guy that reviews firearms.
I'll give the BRG Elite another chance.
Finding a holster for it will be a challenge, that's the reason I'm hesitating to purchase one, that's the only reason.

I heard they had a tolerance problem between pistol & magazines upto serial number 1000 they fixed the problem there on. Mostly the magazine fault.
We had no issues with ours.
With the difficulty of getting components in the past it would surprise me if those problem loads were using hard rifle primers.
I don't disagree. I have not had any other issues with any other ammo. I have 800 rounds through it at the moment.
I've got one, it sucks. It's heavy as a boat anchor. Save up a couple extra bucks and get a used police trade-in.
How do you feel about the accuracy?

P,226 sig mags fit TISAS , SO MAY FIT THIS GUN
At 30 oz, the gun is a bit heavy. Did that become an issue at the range? Did the higher weight mean less kickback?
The heavier weight does help with felt recoil. It has a good feel in the hand.
I like the bulldog mag carriers

Winchester had had a bad run as of late. The white box has failed in other guns and as a whole has been unreliable for others too.
It's funny but I'd range shoot crap Tula before any $$ on whitebox
