    I love my calibrated lb plates but I agree they aren't the easiest to manipulate. One reason I bought rogue calibrated plates during the pandemic was that you can easily resell them without a loss. The second reason is that they are one of the few 55lb steel plates on the market and, for me, plate math with 55s is easier than 45s.

    I know you will get the best plate set that fits your needs. Having the exact equipment that is used at a meet really helped me. After loading my new 25kg plates for a while the 45lb plates seem really light now. I mix and match when I'm in a hurry. Conversion slows me down. Two 25 kg plates plus bar and callers are 165lb. Then I just start loading lb plates. My lifts aren't heavy so four 25kg plates on the bar won't be for a long time if ever. I lied four weeks before my meet I did two reds (each Side) on the bar for a deadlift. So what I'm saying calibrated plates are great to have when training for a meet.

    • @BasementBrandon
      @BasementBrandon  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

  • @rockman7503
    @rockman7503 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BasementBrandon I didn't notice that, but I like the side it favors. +0/-1 instead of +2/-0. They are also quite a bit thinner. Buy them to hang on the rack!
