Hi Colin, thank you for this Video, just got my scooter today. $299 through Amazon. You did a great job on this video, trying to get my android phone to connect to it. Glad I found you friend! :-)
Bought this recently and going to be getting it set up. Got a mountain somewhat near me and my 80 pound ebike is too heavy to push up the 1500 meter uphill windey mountain road so this will do fine.
Just hopped off mine. only complaint is that having the plastic tires makes for a rough ride on sidewalks. speed is good, really like the cruise control that kicks in after about 5 seconds so that you don't have to hold the throttle button down. You can adjust the rear suspension with a wrench.
Thank you so much for this video! Super quick yet thorough explanations just ordered mine since im going to have to walk longer to work because we've moved. Is 160 a high weight for this scooters battery range?
Perhaps they revised the model? This one was shipped a year ago. I was rewatching the footage and think the one I have has rear shocks too. I also see differences comparing this against what's on their website. The display, logo on the front, and ebrake levers are different.
Yes, enable zero start allows you to use the throttle without having to kick off. Many manufactures have disabled this by default because there have been a lot of accidents from people accidentally throttling at a standstill.
Ironically enough you skip the part that I'm struggling with, I'm looking at mine unassembled right now and mine has its cables in such a way to wear trying to attach the head Is a little bit spooky and trying to feed the cable through I'm worried with damage the cables
Hello, you can connect the two wires and shove them into the top handlebar tube that slides into the stem tube as much as you can. That way there's less of a binding when putting the two together. There shouldn't be any issues with damaging the cable as the tube will push the cables further down into the tube.
Hello, it is not supposed to screech when breaking. Is it coming from the front or back? The rear disc brake may need to be adjusted if it's coming from the back.
I'm not sure, but the yellow and green light lit up when I pressed the thumb throttle. Perhaps it's an throttle signal indicator th-cam.com/video/I4zhZNvlwKo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=N_ZcPEzFqKMwv2cE&t=294
need it to go from parking lot to work, its about 1 mile distance. The lite one is only 21lbs vs the Hiboy S2 Electric Scooter which is 31.9lbs. Can I ride this when rainning?
Which part are you getting stuck on with the app? Are you able to download the app? Is the app not detecting your scooter? Please check that bluetooth is enabled on your phone. The scooter should automatically broadcast bluetooth when powering on.
Do the lights stay on after? All of the icons should light up when turning on to show that they are working, but turn off after. th-cam.com/video/I4zhZNvlwKo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=hgujae8HKabkSQxh&t=266
Sorry to hear that. You can try contacting the manufacture, and they will send you replacements. Otherwise you may be able to take one of the screws from the scooter, and match them at a hardware store.
I regret buying this POS! Worked OK until last week when the battery failed. Went from 3 bars to red in only 1 mile. Less than 50 miles on it since purchased and Hiboy charges $135 for a replacement battery.
Range has so many variables to it like rider weight, the wind, and hill grades. In perfect conditions with completely flat ground you can probably do the advertised range.
@@jeffg7044 I have a 2 mile commute both ways so 4 miles total, like 8 mins both way, is this a reliable scooter for that or will it die on me on my first trip?

Thanks for the comment, Kevin. I'm glad you found the video helpful! Hopefully you're able to connect your phone to it.

Sounds good. It may have difficulty going up the hill, but going down will be fine.

You're welcome. 160 is fine. The scooter can support up to 220lbs.
Why does your s2 look a tad bit different than mine I just got mine yesterday and my charger is also different just curious also mine has rear shocks

he also actually got the s2 pro
Yeah, just got mine today, i'm going to look for differences, like you mentioned.
*So if i put from kick start to zero start, will it throttle from zero? If yes that should the default for the scooter from the company*

Bought the bundle for 2 under $600 🔥
Awesome. Let me know what you think of them
Hello! I just got mine and gave it a test run, but my concern was the screeching noice the it makes when I brake … is it supposed to sound like that?
Hello, it is not supposed to screech when breaking. Is it coming from the front or back? The rear disc brake may need to be adjusted if it's coming from the back.
What is that yellow-green-red bar to the left of the drive mode indicator? I haven't been able to figure that out.

@@ColinLeung it also lit up when I hit the electronic brake, went yellow. Maybe an energy usage/regen indicator?

Hello, it's water resistant, but not waterproof. You should be able to ride in light rain, but not in deep puddles. Thanks
hi, what type of screws are you using at 3:07?
It does have suspension on the rear.
Yes, I misspoke in the video.
Is it possible to go slower than your set max speed? Like how you can pedal slower on an e-bike to not go as fast
Yes, you can pull and hold the throttle less to go slower. Thanks
How do i fix the bumping sounds behind my Tire?
Is the tire rubbing on the fender, or is the rear disc scraping?
I can't connect my hiboy s2 to this app.What should I do?

I don’t have brake response option in my advanced settings why is this?
The app may have changed since this video was posted a year ago.
Anyone can explain the display lights. I have exclamation marks (yellow and red) on the display turn on and have no idea what they mean

Useful info! Thanks
You're welcome!
can you turn the sidelight leds on and off?
@@daviddunn0909 I didn't see that option in the app when this video was posted. They may have added that option now.
Mine didn’t come with screws….

Try emailing the customer support, your scooter may still be within its warranty.
Yes, as the other user mentioned try contacting customer support to replace the battery or scooter under warranty. Sorry to hear that
is the range of 15 miles or so accurate?
Range has so many variables to it like rider weight, the wind, and hill grades. In perfect conditions with completely flat ground you can probably do the advertised range.
@@jeffg7044 I have a 2 mile commute both ways so 4 miles total, like 8 mins both way, is this a reliable scooter for that or will it die on me on my first trip?
It depends as the other user mentioned. Typically I find the actual range of ebikes and scooters to be half of what's advertised.
The coupon doesn’t work
Sorry, I checked their affiliate website and they don't have any current codes on the S2. Only $30 off the S2 Pro with code DRS3.
It has a rear suspension. FYI
Thanks for pointing it out. I didn't see it originally, but someone else said it did, and I saw two springs when I checked.
This is unreal mine came with 0 Alan keys or screws keys

Not true! There is a rear shock
My apologies. I inadvertently stated that it does not have rear suspension when it in fact does.
