Yes, this is the best scooter i've tested. They added so many things big and small that I was looking for with other scooters: lights, airless tires, and more. Very, very impressed with this one!

My work is 3 miles from my house and I ride this just about every day! 3 Miles is not a ton, but over 14 months of me riding it, I have saved around $900 in gas! It has paid for itself plus a few hundred dollars.

Definitely had to repurchase! I had an accident in which no repairing, but I had to but it again. I love and miss my scooter sooo much. I use it to commute to work and on weekends I go pick up my 3yr granddaughter on it. She loves it too. I've saved soo much money on Busses and Trains! Highly recommend 👌

The hand brake (on the right side) of the Hiboy S2 Pro actually engages BOTH brakes, the front (electrical/regenerative) brake and the right (mechanical) brake. I seldom use the hand brake unless I need to make an emergency stop. The front brake deceleration rate can be set in the app. I keep it at a mid-level for smooth, controlled braking - which is what I do 90% of the time. Plus, using the front (electrical) brake for stopping adds just a little more power to your battery as it is regenerative. That doesn't happen whenever you use the rear brake. So, to the maximum extent possible, one should try to only use the electric brake which is the red lever on the left handlebar.
By the way, whenever in cruise control mode - the best (and smoothest) way to disengage it is by just giving a little flip to the THROTTLE - not the brake. Although, basically, doing ANYTHING will disengage the cruise control, even turning on or off the light.

Had the S2 Pro for a year now and it is a very solid Scooter.
It's a little slow, but everything else is on point.
NYC daily driver from the UWS to Midtown South
Great in heavy traffic, very agile, easy steering, very good breaks.
Charging is a little slow, but I am happy with the purchase off of Amazon for $500, back in July 2021
It's more than paid for itself keeping me off of public transportation.

@@larryc1616 I had an issue where the scooter would no longer turn on. I contacted Hiboy and they sent me out a new battery. It was easy to remove the old battery and replace it. Works fine! They were very helpful. This was all done via email. Sometimes they would respond for a couple days - but they always responded. Then, for my inconvenience, they mailed me a free, waterproof scooter bag that attaches to the handlebar. It's a great place to put your wallet, car keys or whatever else you want to carry. I put my lock in there and a pair of protective googles because I do lot of riding at night and I don't like getting hit in the face with bugs.

@rickygarcia1926 best decision I could've made with a scooter. To put it In context, my roommate paid $700 for the Segway ninebot from Best buy, and the s2 pro refurbished is waaayyy better. I'm almost 260lbs and it can bear my weight just fine. It's pretty water resistant as well. I've gone inside pools/beaches, and have rode my scooter home drenched, no issues. The mile range is also very impressive, compared to the Segway ninebot. 19mph, is plenty speed if youre an adrenaline junkie. The red lights underneath make it look so sexy at night Everything about this scooter is amazing. 10/10 reccomend.

I’m debating between this, the Go trax G4, and the Kugoo G-Max. I love the s2 pro, but I’ve heard that it doesn’t perform well on hills, etc. heard similar remarks related to the go trax elite and g4 also. This has made me lean toward the kugoo, because it’s battery is rated at higher wattage and tires and stand are wider. But my gripe on all these are it’s warranty. Do they stand by their product?

    • @darcychu9652
      @darcychu9652 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

You can change the batteries to brands of better quality(Panasonic, LG) for longer range.
All these e-scooters are made in China with batteries of inferior quality due to cost down for profit. Batteries are regarded as unnoticeable items by manufacturers when making batch sales.
Also, the watt output of motor could also be exaggerated by manufacturers. Sometimes motors with "bloated" outputs(peak power) are adopted by manufacturers based upon the exaggerated output for lowering matetial cost. You need a 500 watt(800 watts peak at least) motor to climb a hill of 20° at least.
Basically, these models are not for hill climbing.

Your gripe? You mean concern? The first step in a warranty claim for any product you have bought on line is to send it in for warranty inspection. This is a problem from the get-go as shipping is expensive. All costs of a limited warranty are absorbed by the end user until a covered defect is established. It is nightmare.

Usually a scooter brand would specify the "famous" battery cells used in its scooters should it really do so, certainly at premium prices. Unfortunately, very few scooter brands promote their scooters in this way!
So, the fact could be perceived vice versa.

We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!
