I went from never knowing jinjer to owning and listening to their entire discography in 24 hours
Pisces video* i can ensure you 80 to 90% of the people who watched the video don"t know anything more than the fact that this is a band with a beautiful goth dark styled girl as vocalist, that's all

Don't know why they were surprised to what happened 30 sec later. The guy on the guitar is playing custom made ESP 7 string guitar, especially designed for a speed metal, and the bassist, of courses, on 5 string bad-ass bass)) as if they couldn't have come with that jazzy section with a normal fender for instance...))) the moment the guy on the drum started with that rim-shuts I knew they would explode))))
They need to see “who is gonna be the one” live next.

Otep is the first woman I've heard that did the growl voice really well, she mellowed out a lot on her newer stuff but it's still not bad, but older songs like "Battle Ready", "Sacrilege" and "Warhead" she puts her all into it.

This is one of the best videos to react to in the world because of her voice, but I liked that you also gave credit to the rest of the band as they weren't playing it easy or simple, very talented guys backing a very talented beast on stage.

You guys are good together. Your next video together you should watch live concert footage. I recommend "Exposed As A Liar" from their Crowd Factory DVD trailer, since I don't think you've reacted to that one yet. It's an older song from them, but it's my favorite live video, because they have so much energy.

This song does have doubled vocals so it does come off as bigger than life. Everything is post production so it isn't live live, but it is a live performance.
Metal is such an unkown, despised and ignored genre... It is funny that a very extended vocal technique surprise veryone. Tatiana's not doing anything new, it is just her tecnique is way better than most (men or females). She is a treasure, well the whole band because those guys are wow!
Maybe a taste of another badass female growler would help - Arch Enemy's "Nemesis" live in Tokyo, back when it was Angela Gossow singing.

check out some of their old stuff like "Outlander" "Waltz" or "Cloud Factory" Also they are friends with the band Infected Rain "Me Against You"(there is a version of this as a duet with Tati from Jinjer but the sound and video quality is not the best) and they do a Slayer cover "Stain of Mind"

The only filters on her voice are on both the clean and harsh passages. They're unning what sounds like a chorus and a doubler. She definitely has multiple voice tracks on this song.

Look up false vocal chords / ventricular folds. It's a lot like Tuvan Throat Singing, actually. Anyway, that's all here. There is some processing on the voice in spots, but that growl is all her. Amazing technique on both sides.
Bodied. Not two people, while it is a live session they layered in some backing tracks in some parts. However, it is all still her voice. Complete beast on vocals. Jinjer has been my favorite band discovery in recent memory.

She used a special podcast/radio microphone there. It enhanced the effect of her voice but there is nothing cheated there. That's why the microphone is close to her mouth. This is for radio recordings.
The music style that you were talking about is progressive metal. It's a style that has very technically difficult or off beat rhythms and is often put together in a more experimental way that follows music theory to display the talents of the musicians. Sometimes the different instruments will play on different beats and that is when prog gets really trippy. Some good bands that are prog are Dream Theater, and Animals as Leaders just to name a couple, but Jinjer bounces around several different genres with their music. The most Prog song I heard of theirs is probably I Speak Astronomy, which is a very good song.

You should react to Liquid Tension Experiment - when the water breaks or paradigm shift. All the members of Dream Theater except no vocals and bass player is different. Be prepared to be in awe.

It's always amusing seeing all the people thinking it's faked, but I've only seen ONE reactor (non-vocal coaches) that noticed her mouth shape and technique is completely different when she's doing screamo.
