This is true. Had a good paying chemical job maybe 8 years ago. Stayed to myself and did my work. Ate my lunch in my car on break and got called in the office about not being a "team player". They really hate to see us thrive.

I had stellar performance reviews while I worked in corporate America. The only criticism they would give me was “we wish you would socialize more.” I was cordial with my colleagues, friendly to everyone and respected. That’s all I needed. I did not want to take part in gossip or workplace politics. It’s still strange to me that my lack of game playing and drama was a negative.

They will try to find out where you live, too. One woman told me she had a PO box on file. White coworkers found out they had tried their best to find her house and told her they couldn't. Another lady said she was sick and at home after surgery. Guess who popped up? Those nosy azz coworkers and then one made snide comments on how well she was living. I was in the military and a coworker took his office white male coworkers to his house. He said one kept making remarks. I told him the guy was jealous and he made a mistake taking them to his home.

Yes show stability with anyone that is a competitor or employer. Don’t let out to much. If they think your bring home pay is fair you will never get a raise. No matter what. Remain business only.

Actually my last job the supervisor and the head supervisor lied me enough that they saved me from losing my job and they both told me that they love the way I come to work, do my job, and I don’t be in all of the drama. I didn’t discuss any of my personal relationship business and I didn’t get involved with all the hearsay mess. So they both spoke up for me and the supervisor spoke up for me another time when this lady was trying to set me up and kept trying to pressure him to write me up and he clicked off on her and told her that I do my job and she needs to mind her own business. I worked there almost 20 years until I had my neck surgeries

Problem was it was in the World Trade Center at the tippy top and a relative of mine from childhood times told me to never go there. Relative called me daily to tell me quit the job. I left to be with my little bundle of joy and followed the advice.

There have been times, were I couldn't tell who was the client and who was the employee. Through this experience, I've learned never give the 👿 ammunition, to shoot at you later. Yes.. We actually have to be Silent and not speak up on jobs.. I am literally scheduled for a meeting on My regular job to "discuss" the obvious problems. They know what the problems are among a few workers. I am here to work, not Tell them what they already know. About to quit and move on.
When I would see signs at the job, my resignation would be folded in my purse.
I also never kept personal possession at any job that couldn't be carried out in one trip.

In the company I work for, supervisors secretly listen to calls and many workers are surprised by something that shouldn't be known to the company but they do know. calls are tapped for espionage. I never use the service phone and all my business I don't use social networks linked to work
