This tune, and video, is the epitome of thrash metal. Craziest thing I saw at a concert: Kreator playing at Roskilde Festival in Denmark (2013?). "Wall of death", crowd splitting into two halves. I suddenly see a girl in the front line, on the opposite side - one woman, thousands of men. We hear the signal, we charge. I protect her, fight off the other guys. Days, months, years later, she´s my wife. Never thought I´d meet "the one" at that festival, I was wrong.
He still havent heard the best solo ever! ... Nor Five Magics... Nor Rust In In Peace Polaris... Good Mourning/Black Friday... The conjuring... Soooo many.... He is missing out alot.
I saw System of a Down in 2006 during Ozzfest. On the middle of the set, the power went out and people were having fights, people were jumping the fence from the fields, people were loading up these plastic bottles with dirt in the fields and flinging them at people in the stands. There were brawls, it was pure chaos. I like metal music, but I haven’t been to a metal concert since than. I haven’t seen megadeth in concert so I don’t know what they are like.
At Dynamo Metalfest in Eindhoven (netherlands) back in 2015 there was a crowdsurfing fella in a wheelchair. Everyone was helping him along over our heads and he was having a whale of a time.
I saw Megadeth live for the 8th time in Columbus and an old vet stormed in and his crutches went flying in the air. I didn’t see him again but he either died a hero or I wanna meet said hero. Hara
I was 5 years old when this came out on MTV and even at that age I knew it was radically different than anything else at the time. With hindsight I can see it was way ahead of it's time musically. Last time I saw Megadeth (maybe 3 years ago, I think) they opened with this and it was amazing. That break down towards the end the whole place was headbanging in time. Addendum: Had to think about it for a few but craziest shit I've seen at a Metal show is a three way tie between 1. A dude in a wheelchair being crowd surfed to the stage at a Slayer show. 2.) I forget which band it was but I saw a mosh pit where some dude was being a fucking dickhead and pissed off this very large, at least 6'6 and over 300 pounds, man who Bill Goldberg style speared him unconscious. 3.) Exodus. Those in the know understand I don't even have to say anymore than that. That was the ONE show where I literally thought "This is how I'm going to die." And that was BEFORE the Walls of Death started to happen and I was in the battle zone. I've never seen a crowd more feral in my entire life.
I was at a Whitechapel show in Fairfax, Virginia, and one of the urinals in the bathroom had blood spatter on it. Some dude walked into the bathroom, immediately went to the sink and started washing his face. His nose was bleeding. I half-drunkenly chuckled and said, "Holy shit, man, are you alright?" He slowly peered up from the sink, looked me dead in the eye through the mirror and gave me the finger. I'll never forget that.
I seen one reactor do that song. I love that song. He loved it too LOL he said it was like Dave was rapping with Wicked bars LOL. I have asked shag to do that a couple times. Hopefully if enough of us ask he will
Bro my Fist Concert Was"" Van Halen "" And David Lee Roth Came Out With a Chinese Sword And Did The Whole Spinning Sword Kata Routine!!! Thanks For Giving MEGADETH "" Wake Up Dead "" This is A Classic I am A Metal Bass Player And Don't Worry About Stopping The Video for Your Reactions. Its All Good!!! 😂😂😂ROCK ON BRO!!! 💯💯🍻
The craziest show for me was Metallica with the load tour! The stage setup was the craziest thing I ever seen, there stage was setup to fall apart and we had no idea it was to do it! There were guys falling from the ceiling shit blowing up! Everyone was freaking out thinking the place was falling apart it was amazing and they came back on with drag lights and played for another hour!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
My first show ever opened with this song. Megadeth and Judas Priest. Saw some dude curled into a ball thrown about 40 feet. And yeah, their whole show was like this. Then Priest came on, totally different crowd.
I split the inside of my upper lip in a mosh pit, took an arm to the face. I didn't even realize it I was just too into the music and moshing. I put my hand to my mouth and had a handful of blood, I kept moshing anyways. I lost my shoe in a pantera pit, it seemed several other people did as well because they were tossing shoes all around, I never did get it back. Most pits were fairly friendly, if you fell people would help you up so you didn't get trampled on, most were just there to have fun not actually hurt anybody but sometimes you had the people who were out just to hurt you. Some would stand in the middle of the pits and try to knock people out, we knew who they were and would always be a bit disappointed if we saw them at a show because we had to watch our backs around them. This was all in the 90's, I think it's a bit different nowadays. I went to a slayer show a year or two ago but I didn't get in the pit, I'm in my 40's now and didn't want to be too sore for work the next day.
This was released in 86 .. if i remember right...the craziest things ive seen usually involved the stage rush when the band would first take the stage ... i had a girl i liked at a metallica show pass out... we pushed her up over the barricade and that was the last i saw of her ..and ..my cousin took a spiked wristband to his nose at a thrash show in Seattle and its trashed to this day ...
Went to Oz Fest in Ohio, I believe it was 98 or 99. Godsmack, Disturbed, Pantera, Ozzy. Amazing show. I still think Disturbed's first CD was their ultimate one
11 years ago? Lol this was from about 35 years ago. And although this is a just a video, I've heard that shows in the Bay Area at Ruthie's or The Stone could get just this wild. Craziest thing I've seen? A girl was crowd surfing and a guy reached up and ripped off her top. She hopped down and started beating the hell out of the guy and a few people joined in. The guy walked out bloody. Or at a punk show, somebody threw a beer and hit the singer, so he jumped off stage and pummeled the guy till security broke it up. Or at Mayhem in 2012, a guy in the pit on a side stage face planted on the metal barricade in front of the stage, got all busted up and ran back in the pit till security grabbed him and hauled him to the medical tent. Or a guy crowd surfing fell on his head and broke his neck. They stopped the show and air lifted him out. Or a big fight in the women's room that spilled out into the corridor. Or...
Bra, this is just the music video, this isn't a concert. But it is crazy at ishows mosh pits, people flying off the stage..fights, for sure.I've seen people shoot up, I've seen people having sex, you name it I've seen it
To the uninitiated it definitely looks like. But it kicks ass either way! I loved the Megadeth lineup for those two albums. Dave released an article recently, within the last few years, stating Chris Poland was actually responsible for most of the guitar work on the Holy Wars disc. I had no idea of that. And I was actually quite shocked that Dave gave him that credit LOL
We were at an outdoor concert in the early 90's. After the opening band, before Metallica came on the fans started a war with the red solo beer cups and when everyone ran out of cups they started ripping up sod and chunks of dirt and chucking it.
Metallica? Personally I have not enjoyed any of their music since and Justice. Just curious how Metallica came up? I'm not dogging on you or nothing, just curious
I know a couple people comments in pointing out this wasn't actually a live show. But I have seen them at least six times. Maybe 7? I'm getting old I don't remember LOL. But it's very similar to what this video depicts LOL, at least back in the day
Craziest concert I ever saw was a Murphy’s Law show. The club put a barrier in front of the stage and the crowd charged the barrier and tore it out from the front of the stage so that they cough stage dive.
Concert energy? We counted on it, we prepared for it we competed with it at the show! There was a thing in the audience that went unspoken. Who was the baddest, who looked the coolest, who Rocked harder? Who deserved to be on scene? Especially when there are different people from the south side, the west side, the north side. We had a hardcore metal city that was KNOWN by ALL the bands and were famous throughout the industry as a great metal audience. San Antonio,TEXAS! Bands loved us. It’s a simple fact. We would prepare all day for that evening’s festivities. It was a scene man! I could go on and on about it but I can’t type well and use just one finger on my phone. Trust me, we were the concert SHIT! It’s as cool and cooler than you think it was. Much cooler and very fucking loud!
One of the craziest, was like back in I think ‘90 seeing 10 people getting hauled out on stretchers after a Slayer concert, and countless others sitting against the walls with broken noses, and whatever else, that was a little nuts!!! Those 80’s Thrash concerts were insane, you had the Thrash crowd, but also some punks who dug it, and some posers who thought they were part of it...it was a nasty mix sometimes...I remember an Exodus show, fights were just popping off left and right.
sepulmattica76 Back then the skinheads would go there looking for fights. In Boston there were lots. 91' Sepultura, Sick Of It All, Napalm Death and Sacred Reich
This is what I remember metal to be like everyone being like no phones everyone going fucking crazy it's a realise you come out of that bleeding and all drink beer love it now everyone is firming it on there phones when are you ever going to watch that 🤣😂😂
Got my lip split open in a mosh pit at a Slayer concert...then proceeded to body surf the crowd to the front of the stage..TWICE!! Best concert of my life!!
Bra, I started going to concerts of nineteen seventy nine eighties were amazing, I seen everybody from our maiden Megadeth Metallica, Judas priest, Dio Van Halen Aerosmith slayer anthrax , you name it I've seen them.
Need to check out 5 Magic's, conjuring, victory, killing road, Polaris, dread and the fugitive mind, hanger 18, she wolf, tornado of soals, but can you turn up the volume glad to see you getting into metal music 🤘🤘🤘
First this is a video shoot. It wuz filmed at a airport! With dave... alwaze has a funny story. Some boys got to the jets and sprayed megadth on them! Dave had to pay to have the paint removed! 🤣
That wasn’t a real concert, this video. It was a staged video. They weren’t trying to fool anyone, it’s just reflective of the live show. Anyone back in the day knew this automatically because we had been to the shows. It’s just a music video showing the concert environment in an extreme way. Some shows did get like this though.
Haha I remember buying their first VHS movie. Father blow him? Something like that lol it was pretty gross. Those guys are more talented Than People realize. Never got to see them live though

He is the better musician I’ll give him that, but James Hetfield is hands down best writer and the 3 bassists new and old of Metallica were incredible probably better than Megadeth. but I’m a Metallica fan way more than Megadeth so it’s a bit biased but I’m trying to be fair.
Plus, this was in 86, over 30 years ago!!!
Yep, this is what happens when you come home drunk, you wake up the old lady, your dead😤
especially when she finds out about the other woman
"INTO THE LUNGS OF HELL" & "502" & HOOK IN MOUTH"
Hooking mouth is amazing! Great recommendation
The bass and drums in the beginning... Well, the entire album! 11 years ago??? This was '86 LOL
Swag! One of my favorite Megadeth songs. Thank you! You da man

It’s called stage diving and then there is the pit. The mosh pit. Also crowd surfing is a thing too.
You best be going to a Megadeth concert next year bro no joke
Us Pit Thrashers are a special breed 😂
It's called stage diving, most venues don't allow it anymore.
