Other changes are the side radiator door is now bolted on instead of hinged, they also changed the LED curb light by the service door and the 2nd window from the back is longer than the rest.
Also I think our district’s oldest bus is bus 7 that I think is a 2009 hdx. Also our district sold buses that were 2014 Thomas hdx (bus 1) 2012 Thomas hdx (bus 2)
Oh your lucky you got Thomas hdx beacuse krapf removed all the hdx and the gmc big bus only two are there which are back in the Exton cloud 9 parking lot with 98 an hdx and the gmc is an 100 instead we got all 2024 and 2025 c2s with ic and ford and bluebird buses now
Ccs always specd their buses well. Minus ac. Was told when I was there we’d never see ac in them. That’s awesome that was finally over ruled. My first one was 677. Bluebird with a cat. With the oldest I drove was 622. I got 737 almost new, 769 brand new and 784 brand new before I left. I think they were just getting 800 in when I left.
The Blue Birds were the best buses we ever had. I wish we kept them around longer. I was told that the A/C decision was from the superintendent himself. It was a very welcomed option by the drivers and students.
OK, I know school buses use to be restricted to only 40ft long( I know they could be longer now). Where I'm from the Saf liner MVPs and the HDs, they had 13 roll seats. But, in a neighboring larger city MVPs and HDs had 14 roll seats. After looking at many videos of Saf T liners(REs) the standard is 14 rolls. So, is the 13(roll buses) shorter than 40 feet?
Question about Cabell's numbering system... Sooner or later bus 999 will arrive. Will the district continue into the 1000s? Start over with bus #1 or something different?
They actually did make some 2024 REs, but only for customers who had them ordered and not delivered yet. They barely sold any of them though, less than 20% of what Thomas and Bluebird sell their transits
My first reaction when i saw this video was “FINALLY! THE BUSES ARE HERE!!”
I love the look of these they are my favorite RE other than a D3
Only reason I am watching this video to prepare myself for Januray where my plant is going to make HDX line with the same plant makes C2.

That window is always like that, it’s the 141YS body model, it’s an extra foot added to the bus to help with an optional 90 passenger capacity
2:04 its the same for us here lol. I think its just thomas or something cuz rhe side of the bus is also always different
Our newest buses are two 2021 visions.
can u plz demo how the back emergency window opens from the inside? would love to see that

In my county in Maryland they have a 2022 Thomas hdx handicap
Make a new video about the new buses

Can these school busses also come in 30 feets or just 40 feets only ?
I see they went back to the factory numbering
Can you do a startup and tour plus Child Check deactivation?
Project681 did ya get a chance to drive or ride the Thomas Hdx bus?
Question: What does the “HDX” stand for?
HD = Heavy Duty. They started using the X in the redesign of the same model bus in 2004.

My district doesn't even have an HDX 😢
My newest bus is bus 25 I believe it’s a 2020 Thomas hdx
They changed the back of the HDX
I wonder what will happen when you guys get to bus 1000.
Question about Cabell's numbering system... Sooner or later bus 999 will arrive. Will the district continue into the 1000s? Start over with bus #1 or something different?
That's the question we all have. I guess we will find out in 25 years or so, unless they decide to change it up again.
If you guys order, say 10 buses a year, bus 999 will probably be a 2036 or 2037.
Do they buy both conventional and flat nose or are they switching over to flat nose I prefer conventional
We bought both this year. No idea where the C2s are at yet. Supposed to get two special needs and maybe two full sized Gen Ed buses.
N when did the Thomas Hdx bus come in?
The day that this was uploaded
Nice units. Did you get one???? Lol
Do you have EVs in your fleet?
How long are these HDXs in feet?
Somewhere around 40 feet or so. They're 84 passenger buses.
At least Matheny did not number these buses and it looks normal again.
Agreed. I just wish the guy at Thomas would have applied them straight, though. They're very crooked 😬🙃
@@Project681at least they did put something on it. One of our new 2024 HDXs don't even have the district name on it lol
I prefer Cummins B6.7, it has better the fuel economy & its performances is good when maintained properly.
The B6.7 in our buses gets 2mpg less than the L9… it has to work harder and doesn’t last as long either
1:22
Where’s buses 858-861 (I’m curious)
Still not here yet. They're all going to be C2s. Two full sized and two special needs
If you like 681 and 781 wonder how much you will like 881
I bet these cost a alot of fortune
Our brand new Bluebirds were 220k, Thomas is a bit cheaper but it really depends on state options, I’m guessing these were somewhere around 200k
Orange seat belts are a negative for me
Attention everyone this bus is a 23 not 24. Everyone has been lying about it.
The VIN called it a 2024, I double checked it before I filmed it.
Too bad the ic RE will never be made for the 2024 model year. (Thanks IC I dislike you now)
