I love these buses. They ride smoothly and the Cummins IsB in these sound awesome when accelerating and when exhaust braking. The HDXs seem to ride better than C2s and even IC CEs from the time.
That bus came from your DV Terminal I have driven all of those snub nose buses we had 1170-1175 I also see 0843 that was ours to and a few others of ours! I'm so glad to see some of them!
I actually saw one at my high school, but it said FIRST STUDENT instead of ROHER, because it belonged to first student charter services. And there was these white Thomas HDX's with white rub rail and a dark blue stripe in between the rub rails, it didn't have a texturing or a number. It just said charter on a yellow sign.
I have seen Thomas hdx buses used to see them in my old school district adoms 12 schools in Colorado now I’m in Boulder valley school district they don’t have any hex’s but they are really cool like how you had the train in the back round of that video right by an active train track
We actually have a 2021 thomas hdx from montgomery county maryland. I rode it in the morning bus route but I don't anymore. So now I ride a 2014 hdx. The 2021 hdx is bus number 20607 and the 2014 hdx is bus number 13037.
Oh, and by the way, I ride a 2017 hdx which is bus number 16040. And we even have short freightliner fs65's that always have the wheelchairs. And they have caterpillar c7 engines. Same thing with the older hdx.
What exactly is going on here? Are these buses for sale? Are you videoing inventory at a bus sales company or just showing off buses? The reason I ask is that I'm very much interested in buying one of these Thomas Saf-T-Liners
I Rode On A 2008 Thomas HDX As A Spare In 4th Grade In 2012 It Had Incandescent Warning Lights Incandescent Stop Arm It Had A Mercedes Benz Engine My School District Bus Company Durham School Services Bought Them Used From Connecticut And Our Used Thomas HDX's Are Indiana Spec And They Retired In 2020 It Also Had Incandescent Turn Signals Brake Lights And Reverse Lights And A Yellow Roof
I have 3 of these buses two 2006 and 1 2011 they’re 1/50 scale my favorite full scale Thomas school bus is the 66 passenger 1984 Thomas international 1700 with international Diesel engine

They do certainly ride very well, and I agree that the engines sound great!
I agree

That’s correct! You can still see the “shadow” of the DV lettering on the side.
I used to ride these to school, and they had them everywhere and now they all disappeared.

DEF was required in 2011? I thought most diesel engines in 11 had dpfs in them and def was required in 2013
Great video! Can you do a video on one of the charter C2’s you guys use for the Hershey shuttles? No rush!
Absolutely!

I am glad they still make these, i dont love the C2's over all popularity.

Hey dream
But our 2004-2007's have the MBE (Mercedes Benz Engine).
I rode those to school back then in elementary school.
It’s almost like our hdx’s at our school!
Can you send me a picture of how the mirror should be placed on that bus
The bus is very nice. Did you know that the new hdxs have the detroit dd8 engine?
That’s pretty awesome! I wish we would get some new HDXs in with the DD8. We shall see what happens.
Please do another tour of a Bluebird Vision. I love the gauge style and engine in that bus. Even though it has DEF and all that.
I’ll see what I can do
@@CMLayton88 Ok great Please check another vision.
@@carwashslayer4235 he did a 2015 bluebird vision

I haven't been in one of these in years. The last one I was in was bus 45 which it was a 1998.
Rode these throughout middle school and high school I think they had the cat engine in the back not the Cummins as they were on the older side
@@donaldsperrazza5817 some had Cat some had Mercedes Benz.

That is awesome!!!
We have 5 hdxs but with circle tail lights we have three special needs one is a spare and two is the regular ones
Bring em back to miami Florida please 😢
They need to bring em back to miami Florida
How much
My school has a couple of those busses
I really want one of these converted to a motorhome. Perfect height. I don't like those top heavy 13 ft high diesel pusher RVs
I thought this use to be a regular school bus
It used to be at another district. We now just use them for charter trips.
@@CMLayton88 uh I see I understand
Btw it also looks like an efx
