I really enjoy watching the drawing process and I learn new things every time I watch it. You make tiny, hard-to-see touches, and even they blow my mind 😳
Thank you for the commentary! I love your coloring style a lot, it is actually very similar to how i want to develop my own into, as it has a very painterly look. The commentary and being able to see your layers helps a lot while trying to understand how you achieve certain things. I get really confused how people retain the base color when switching to the clean coloring part from initial coloring, so it was really enlightening, thank you for taking your time to explain!
I absolutely love the new commentary editing style! However, I would like to offer a tip regarding the arrangement of the commentary. The gap between the speed painting and the commentary is quite significant, making it challenging for the eyes to focus on one thing. It's absolutely devastating because I want to study and admire the speed paint, but I also don't want to miss out on the tips being given. I hope my feedback helps. Thank you for the tips and the magnificent speed paint!
Thank you for the kind words! And thank you for the feedback!! I understand what you mean. I think i got too used to it while editing but rewatching it the next day it is pretty distracting. If I do this again I'll probably just put a caption box type of subtitle in the bottom middle (?) which would hopefully look better.
This is an amazing video, I'm so glad you made it! I find it very useful when artists I admire share their process, I always learn so much from it and it gives me such a boost of inspiration for my how art! I struggle a lot trying to find a balance between the lineart and painting aspects of the process so I was very happy when you explained how you approach this issue.
i used to do some of these methods but stopped cause i ultimately got confused, this video honestly helped me a lot with that!! the lineart and painting part too, i like a paitning type of artstyle since i like the texture but i dont know what im doing half of the time lol i usually paint off my sketch but doing lineart is definitely a better idea. amazing art btw!! (youre so good it makes me wann acry)
I really enjoyed seeing your thought process when drawing! I found it really helpful, it reminded me to look at the piece as a whole and therefore making it more cohesive. It makes me want to draw so bad even if it's exam season
Your choice of colors and composition makes this so gorgeous! I’m in love with the background! 😂❤ Thank you for the commentary as well - just please slow it down a bit in the future (if you haven’t already). 😊
I really like this video I appreciate the commentary it helps me to understand your art process way better. Although my only complaint is that it was kind of annoying having to pause the video to read. Other than that this was a pretty solid video the editing was nice and I liked the music you choose for the bg. Good job the piece looks stunning!
I received other similar feedback and I think for next time I'll adjust the timing on the text boxes as well as the placement. I apologize for the poor viewing experience this time :( Thank you for watching!!
your art is amazing; tho a word of advice, put the commentary on the corner where the speedpaint is happening so we can see them both, so we don't miss either :)
Ahh such gorgeous art!! Do you think you’re ever going to open up a patreon, etc, and release some PDF files at a certain tier? I’d love see see how you use the layer effects in some of your pieces! 🥰
I loved getting a glimpse at your work process but pausing the video to read the info given was a bit jarring. The speed is a bit too high (I'm a slow reader) and the info is also too far away from the focal point in the art. There were too many interruptions to fully enjoy the speed paint. Thank you though, it's still amazing of you to share it.
Thank you for the feedback!! I saw someone else say something similar. I didnt want to block the work area but it seems like it had the opposite effect. Would the bottom middle in a caption effect be better? 🤔
@@skradio You're very welcome. I'd say top middle or bottom middle, yes. It would work nicely in the top right if the active canvas (the focal point) wasn't so far to the left of it but unfortunately, the preview/ref images and the tool/color windows are in the way to make that possible. So middle would be good to try. Do go with whatever makes you feel the most comfortable!
this got me monetarily out of art block and i painted 3 fully rendered drawings! tysm I love your art!!
That makes me happy to hear! thank you!❤
I really enjoy watching the drawing process and I learn new things every time I watch it. You make tiny, hard-to-see touches, and even they blow my mind 😳
seeing your drawing process has enlightened me, not conforming into a painterly or line is exactly what I needed to hear/read honestly.
