Man I love these vids. Really brings back the days of Glenn. And I love this look too! Lizard is my fav Spider-Man villain, and I actually found this book in a dollar box at a recent sale at my local comic shop!
Btw I live in NZ so I can’t get Walmart exclusive or TRU but my mum was on holiday and got me it I have right I’m excited you problem don’t care BTw love your vids a lot
Yesss I needed this man. My fine line painting skills arent quite there yet so I've been using paint pens to draw on the web lines. It doesnt look bad but you can tell the difference. Hopefully with this I can get some more practice in. Keep up the awesome work man 👍
Yeah without question this is sick!..I was going to try and pay someone to paint my archangel but after this video I think I might do it myself bruh...great paint references...stay up mane.👊🏾
Damn man!! You keep on making me more impressed. I didn’t think you could get better!! I know it isn’t finished but from what I see, it looks great and also you recorded it!😊🙏🙏
It takes so long to get good at customizing. There's a lot of trial and error involved, but once you can do it successfully the possibilities are endless, and it is so rewarding. Your only limit to what you can create is your own imagination. I love making custom figures, and not just of pre-existing characters but also characters that me and my kid just make up. It is so much fun.
One day I’ll work up the courage to make that custom Spider-Man on the Bullseye body 👌 my dream is to have a custom from you, my goal is to make some of my own. Your work and videos are so inspiring
Also that shit was hilarious in a great way. “let me do off camera”. Reminds me of the SpongeBob meme when he becomes the flash. “ wanna see me do it again?” Lmao. Amazing job bro. No pun intended.
Woah! Mad respect to you, poundz. I don't think I'm patient enough for this stuff but I still want to try to make a custom one day, so thank you very much for showing us your ways! It's something already hard enough and then you go the extra mile by recording it just to help us, you are the man! By the way, kinda unrelated to the video, do you think the hair dryer method to pop off the parts from a figure would work on a 12" marvel legends? One of my figures is really loose on the arms and I want to make them tighter by adding some glue on the joints but I don't know if these work in the same way as the normal legends.
Some customizing tips, wash the figure with liquid soap first, that removes the oil that is used to keep the paint on the figure. Paint a base coat of a color of your choice, after that dries paint the figure. Don't expiriment with shading on your first try. Once you've completed the figure let it dry. Also wash the inside of the lid of the paint Testor's sticks to the side of the lid so be sure to wash the paint off the lid or it'll get stuck on the bottle.
You could make a great man spider with this, probably drill some holes on the back and lower torso to add and hide the extra arms cuz not really impressed with the one Hasbro announced but the paint here looks great too
Great tutorial! Very informative. Though, I think I’ll just use a thin pen, this seems a bit to hard... also I’ve seen people use tapes or some type of adhesive to help with the vertical lines, would you recommend that?
ScarletKnight I can’t recommend what I havent tried honestly The thin pen technique works from what I hear .. but how durable is the ink ... will it rub off easy? Using tape for such thin curved lines is pointless
True, it would be harder to use the tape, it might ruin the paint too. The thin pen works, though you should avoid gel pens because they smudge easily, but some stick to the paint, but I’d put a clear coat over it just in case. Sharpie Markers, the really thin ones work as well.
Do you know how to replace a shoulder for marvel legends? The custom I’m working on arm snapped and the shoulder peg I want to replace it with another figure
@@PeterTSF if it has butterfly joints you can heat it up with warm/hot water or a hair dryer and pop the shoulder out. If it does not have a butterfly joint… chances are you will have to crack open the upper torso and glue it back together when you replace the shoulder
If You Got A Sewer Diorama Display If Would Look Perfect For A Background Heres My Recommended Customs “Doppelgänger” When That New Six Arm Spidey Comes Out You Should Get As Many As You Could. “Shriek” “Demongoblin” “Red Goblin” “Spider-Ben”(Ben Parker) “Venom”(Spiderman The Animated Series) (The One That Had Orange And Blue Lines On Him)
Is it just your lighting is your paint super glossy? Do you dull coat when you seal these? I primarily paint in the desired finish with games workshop paints, so i was curious to your method.
ricky todd Botelho i took an eye exam not long ago and the nurse said I have 10/20 vision .. I was like “so, ...ok” she said snipers in the military are known to have acute vision as such... I said ... “oh damn you think I’m cute”? 😂
Is it possible to paint a figure that already had the lines ? I want to buy a “web man” figure & turn it into a regular suit Spider-Man . Is it possible ?
This is art!! how are you not working for hasbro???!!!
I love when an artist actually helps the community rather than keeping it to themselves
Thanks for the lesson. This is good too for people wanting to commission pieces to see how much work goes into the details of a custom.
Life with Brock thanks for watch brotherman Brock! I agree witcha.. it takes a lot of time and work creating a custom action figure.
Your spider lizard looks awesome so far

great lines.. you can also try using a gel pen. it's water based and it has different ballpoint sizes.. just let it dry and spray some topcoat
just want to add that if you made a mistake you can wipe the wrong lines with damp cloth and start over again
good work!! and thanks for the teaching.

My question to this tutorial is could a super thin black sharpie pen do it too or do you mostly recommend that "hairline brush"? With the paints.
Thomas Rosado which ever is best for you
Where did you buy that paint brush and how much is it
Poundz you are amazing. I use Tamiya. 009 brush. And get a good pair of reading glasses for details. Fuck your eyes up otherwise.
