That little moment where Saul and Huel are in the rain eating sandwiches together is such a nice scene. I feel like it's rare for Jimmy to have any real close companions other than him and Kim.
Jesse: “You had Saul do it. I went to his office. He called me and just had to see me today. His big Man Mountain body guard patted me down and that’s when he must have stole it off of me, right? Was that the plan?”
It's like Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, working on their next plan 😁
I love that Huell is slimmer in this series, it shows that as you get older (in Breaking Bad he is older) you tend to lose your fitness. Even though its the other way around hahahha.
Honestly the only thing I can ever see in that bit is how Huell leaves his leg out in the rain and it pisses me off.
Well, Jimmy went tooth and nail for Huell not to serve jail time of course with a little help from Kim :D
One thing ab this show that I think is better than breaking bad is the editing. Prob the best editing I’ve seen on a show ever
It makes sense, since it's made after Breaking Bad, that Gilligan and the whole production team are getting better. It also has Peter Gould upped to a bigger role than he had with Breaking Bad.

I Always felt that breaking Bad was a draft for that show.

This song takes on a whole new meaning, considering what happens after they tell one another “I love you,” for the first time. It’s crazy how good the portrayal of their relationship was without ever having to rely on words or explicit affirmation of their feelings. It was all show and no tell.
and when they finally do say "I love you", they break up.

I think my favourite thing about BCS is how they made Jimmy a good pet owner to a little gold fish. I mean it’s gotta be some sort of world record he kept that fish alive for so long.
i've been told the lifespan of goldfish is over a decade... considering how he doesn't have swimmy mcgill anymore in breaking bad era, when his life fell apart when kim left he probably stopped taking good care of it and killed the damn fish 😭😭

while this show lacks a lot of action, which is fine, it excels in its relationships between characters, i think that’s why it’s so enjoyable to watch. in some ways better call saul is better than breaking bad and vice versa. i love this scene
In terms of tone or action, you can't really compare the two shows but overall I think BCS is presented better and has better characters. As much as I love them, there isn't a Ted or Marie in BCS. Side characters like Chase only really appear for a short amount of time.

i see what you mean but i dont think its the kind of show that needs action! while it is structured ina way like breaking bad with how the character builds on himself through trauma, its more of a map of how things build into the breaking bad show

This montage makes me so sad. The way it depicts them seemingly drifting slowly apart is so powerful. The fact that Kim doesn't appear in Breaking Bad definitely doesn't bode well for her. However, I strongly believe she is alive given that Saul is so vibrant and upbeat in Breaking Bad. He may be an asshole but I don't think he'd be able to go on if Kim had to die.
My guess is that Kim somehow ends up in prison n Saul regularly visits her. One day he goes and tells her a crazy story about getting kidnapped and threatened by a top-level meth cook. Kim sees the opportunity for them to make some serious money and live the high life together after she gets out of prison, so she convinces Jimmy to track the guy down and form a partnership with him.
Obviously that eventually blows up in Saul's face, and he has to flee to Omaha. Somewhere during the Gene timeline Kim gets out of prison and they reunite... They're both tired, traumatized, and no longer living the high life, but they still have each other and finally realize that's the only thing that truly matters. With a big, genuine smile on both their faces, the Gene timeline turns to color. Roll credits..
That's my theory n I'm sticking to it 🤞

You were correct.
Kim is imo, the best female character on tv. She is the best and most realistic example of a strong woman. She didn't have to act over the top and be the tough chick that can kick mens asses. She is smart, caring, loyal, pretty, tough, movie buff, works hard, she cares about helping people by doing pro bono, Jimmy is a lucky guy.
But maybe Saul is un-lucky
Kim is a fascinating character. Her decision to "break bad" is probably the most interesting of any character on either show. It's surprising and shocks the viewer but it doesn't feel forced... Excellent writing and acting for her character 👏👏👏

This song in the context of the show literally made me cry...Anything but Kim and Jimmy reuniting in the Gene timeline is unacceptable to me. Jesse got a happy ending and so should Jimmy!
I just don't see that happening. I have had so many discussions with people about this and I always champion for that ending too but I think it's going to be a tragic ending for Gene. The only thing I am sure of is Kim definitely does not die before the Breaking Bad time line because Jimmy would not be able to live with himself. I just see no way that happens.

Pretty sure Kim turns on Jimmy and that’s gonna be the “something unforgivable” that she mentioned. Maybe they will see eachother but I don’t think it’s going to be a happy reunion if it does happen. Kim can’t die. Nacho living can’t be the one happy moment that closes the show.

This is my favorite scene in the entire show. It’s so beautiful in every aspect and tells so much about how Jimmy and Kim’s plotlines are advancing with barely any words at all.
The writers are masters at show, don't tell
I remember when Jimmy initially had his license suspended, alot of us were curious what on earth the show would do with that time. This is such a brilliant way to almost seamlessly pass 8 months of time and character development.
And then after that the show make us think we'll have to wait another "year" in the history because he got rejected but the masterpiece mind of Gilligan made a really good move in all of this, I think it was a really good break from all of the Law only previous seasons
This montage sing-handedly made me want to go back and rewatch this masterpiece of a show
I’m finally getting past the 4th season because it wasn’t out on streaming platforms. I’m at the last episode of the last season and don’t want to watch it because that means it’s over
I'm so, so glad I gave Better Call Saul a second go after initially writing it off a underdeveloped and poorly paced. It's some of the best television currently airing, and so unusual as well. A simple story told as well as possible. Honestly, how many other shows are like this?

Better Call Saul is so eloquently done that it makes me wish it never ended. Just like Breaking Bad. No matter who you are or what your background is, you’ll sympathize and relate to each and every character on this show ❤️

I never even thought about it until after the show ended, but BCS is a tragic love story.

The ending felt bittersweet, but I finally feel, whole. Walt had an ending he deserved, Jesse got the ending everyone wanted for him, but Jimmy's one made me feel whole, especially knowing that after this there would be no more.
The last shot of kim and him sharing a cigarette, then him doing the finger guns.....
i just don't know what to say, it made me feel whole.

This is my favorite sequence in the series without a doubt. Now that we have finally watched the end of the story, this montage hits harder than ever.
The shot with kim crossing her leg over and jimmy pouring the wine past teh center line was so sweet. Just the little things make such a diffrence.

Those probably were the most happy and stable times in this show
This whole episode just felt so much simplier and more stable than the rest, there were no drug wars, no depression, just life being calm for once
Sure, there was thing with Huell, but that too felt like something simplier than whatever problems everyone would face later, like this was their biggest concern at the moment and it wasn't even that bad
I don't know how to explain what i mean, just the vibe of this episode is something else
While watching this you can deeply feel that they're just not meant to be together. And their inevitable break up is on the way. Insane work!
even though i like Breaking Bad more as a whole, Jimmy/Saul is much, much more layered character
they said they love each other for the first time (atleast on screen) and they broke up 💔 a tragic love story, Jimmy Intentionally taking all the blame is all worth it because he knows Kim will live a happy life, A True Love indeed

My ideal song for this is “Goodbye Stranger”. And then it all starts to fade in black and white when things go wrong for everyone. Gus dies, the lab gets destroyed, Mike dies, and finally Jimmy escapes turning into Gene for a ‘Felina’ kind of finale, how cool would that be?

It’s pretty unbelievable how the creators always seem to pick the perfect songs for every scene. Not that I would have even thought of the song they picked but the fact that it always just suits the feeling of the scene so perfectly. This montage feels like the final pivot toward the Breaking Bad timeline. I know a lot more happens between here and there but these events are so critical. Just brilliant.

I almost love how you can see this as a present and future for both Kim and Jimmy. Jimmy going day by day conning and aiding the criminal underworld with Huel and Kim doing her day by days. But as time moves slowly, the more they drift apart.
Lol and in the end Kim’s side fades away into darkness, I am more worried how Kim’s story will come to an end rather than the whole show itself.

How ironic that the best days of these married lawyers are the times when they scam people. We all know they would break up at the end, but hoping they would meet again soon under different identities. I never knew Vince is also great in writing a love story. Their relationship separates this series ahead from breaking bad, in my opinion. It's unique on its own.
